YOUR MISSION As a (Senior) Software Engineer, you'll take full ownership of the features you build, the technical decisions behind them, and the overall quality of what we ship. You'll work across the full stack on a platform that's scaling fast in a genuinely complex domain. You'll help shape what gets built and how, and have real influence on the engineering culture as we grow. How your day-to-day will look like: * End-to-End Feature Ownership: You drive features through the full development lifecycle from scoping, building, shipping, and iterating until they're truly done. * Architecture Input: You contribute actively to technical design discussions, propose solutions to structural challenges, and help the team make well-reasoned decisions about how we evolve the platform. * Cross-functional Collaboration: You work directly with Product and occasionally with customers to understand problems deeply and design solutions that actually fit the need. * Code Quality & Review: You set a high bar in code reviews, catch issues early, and help maintain a codebase the whole team is proud of. * Informal Mentoring: You support junior engineers through pairing, feedback, and sharing context. You enjoy helping others level up. * Platform Reliability: You take ownership of operational concerns like monitoring, debugging, and improving the stability and performance of systems you've built. IS IT YOU WE ARE LOOKING FOR? You... * Bring 3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong track record of shipping features in a backend-heavy environment. * Are proficient in Java and Spring Boot, and comfortable working across the full stack including React and SQL. * Have solid fundamentals in system design. You know how to think about scalability, data modelling, and service boundaries. * Thrive in a cross-functional environment and communicate clearly with non-engineers about technical trade-offs and timelines. * Are comfortable with ambiguity and able to break down complex problems independently, without waiting to be told exactly what to do. * Enjoy working in a small, high-ownership team at an early-stage company where your decisions have real and immediate impact. Join New Relic as a Senior Solutions Consultant, where you will leverage your unique blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and customer-centricity to deliver meaningful outcomes across our DACH and Eastern Europe (EE) expansion patch. In this role, you won't just be ticking boxes; you will be the absolute owner of the technical 'win'. Partnering closely with our Enterprise Account Executives, you will guide technical strategies and establish deep, trusted relationships with major enterprise accounts. You will have the autonomy to run with your insights, serving as a critical bridge between complex customer environments and our internal Product and Engineering teams to directly influence the evolution of our market-leading Intelligent Observability platform. WHAT YOU'LL DO: * Secure the Technical Win: Partner closely with Sales teams to drive revenue opportunities, upselling new solutions, and expanding our Azure Consumption Revenue (ACR) footprint across strategic T1 and T2 accounts. * Consult & Architect: Lead technical discovery sessions, deliver tailored Proof of Value (PoV/PoC) presentations, conduct structured architectural workshops, and craft compelling responses to RFX/RFIs. * Establish Trusted Partnerships: Deeply understand our customers' business objectives and technical landscapes to build long-term relationships, helping them eliminate digital experience disruptions and realize maximum platform value. * Evangelize Innovation: Actively champion new product capabilities to the market while channeling structured field feedback directly to New Relic Product Managers and Engineering leads to fuel future platform evolution. * Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Expand the team’s operational reach by collaborating seamlessly with Solution Architects, Partner teams, and Customer Success colleagues to navigate enterprise complexity. THIS ROLE REQUIRES: * Enterprise Pre-Sales Mastery: A proven track record of leading and managing large, complex pre-sales or technical consulting engagements for enterprise-level organizations. * Modern Cloud Expertise: Hands-on familiarity with native cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, containers, microservices, SRE practices, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. * Full-Stack Technological Breadth: A foundational understanding that spans modern enterprise layers, from user experience and cloud applications to infrastructure, networks, data, and security. * Data-Driven Consulting: A strong grasp of how telemetry, insight, and data enable better decision-making within complex global organizations. * Superb Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with both engineering teams and C-suite stakeholders. * Language Fluency: Professional professional proficiency (written and spoken) in both German and English to support the DACH and EE region effectively.
