Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear. Test mechanical to ensure proper functioning. Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, and hand tools, or power tools. Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair. Operate hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance. Inspect mechanical components to identify problems. Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts. Trouble shoot electrical controls and components, and repair as needed. Ordering / maintaining inventories for all parts to service all equipment plant wide. Ability to communicate with technical support with equipment. Documentation of all schematic and diagram changes to keep plant record current. Responsible for working with a minimum amount of supervision in all key areas. JOB OVERVIEW: 2nd Shift 6:30PM - 7:00AM This position consists of repairing and maintaining all production and facility equipment, new equipment installations, and maintaining established preventative maintenance programs.
