ROLE Samaya AI is transforming how investment decisions get made. Our suite of AI agents supercharges financial research, discovery, and analysis, turning real-time information into investment conviction. Deployed at enterprise scale, we're seeing strong adoption across leading financial institutions. This role is for someone with real front-office experience and leadership across the buy-side and sell-side. You'll use that experience to help translate how investment professionals work into the next generation of AI products, shaping how our AI, product, and engineering teams build. You'll define the GTM strategy that expands Samaya's reach across the world's leading hedge funds and asset managers, helping bring AI into the core investment workflow. RESPONSIBILITIES * Own GTM strategy and execution directly with our CEO * Close deals yourself, using an existing network to get in front of decision-makers at hedge funds and asset managers * Build credibility and trust with enterprise buyers without the support of an established brand * Grow and lead a small, senior, and high leverage team of AEs * Own enterprise sales and commercial negotiations end to end * Drive customer acquisition, expansion, and revenue growth across buy-side accounts * Develop pricing, packaging, and commercial strategy for buy-side accounts * Shape product positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation for buy-side buyers * Build the sales playbooks, collateral, and enablement that might not exist yet EXPERIENCE Required * Experience working with buy-side institutions, whether from a sales and trading role, investment banking, a financial-services-focused consulting practice, or a sales leadership role at a comparable financial services platform. * Operated at the Executive Director level or above (typically 10+ years in sales ad trading, consulting, or a comparable financial technology firm) * Built and maintained a network of buy-side relationships over multiple years of client-facing work, and can point to specific relationships, not just a general network * Independently owned senior buy-side relationships (CIOs, portfolio managers, heads of research) rather than supporting someone else's coverage * Fed customer feedback directly into product decisions before, not just relayed it up the chain * Actively uses AI in day-to-day work Preferred * Built a sales function from zero, not just scaled one that already existed * Shaped pricing, packaging, or commercial strategy in a prior role, not only executed within a strategy someone else set * Experience navigating vendor security reviews, MNPI-sensitive workflows, procurement cycles specific to regulated financial institutions COMPENSATION On Target Earnings (OTE): $380,000 - $460,000 range(50/50 split - base/variable) Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above. Equity may also be considered as part of the overall compensation package. OUR OPERATING PRINCIPLES Put Users first. Our users rely on us to do their jobs. We exist because our users trust us to help them achieve their goals. In return for this trust users place in us, we keep their needs as our top priority. Win as a collective. We are high achievers with a drive to succeed. We build strong bonds over this shared drive. We dive in to help when one of us needs it. We’re kind to each other and boost each other to succeed and grow professionally and personally. We build trust with each other by making commitments and consistently delivering on them. This trust means we genuinely support each other, embracing feedback as a tool for growth and improvement. We win by operating this way, as one team. Focus and iterate quickly. Bias for action makes us build and learn quickly. Iterating fast requires clarity on what outcomes we are targeting and why. Prioritizing the important things, taking full ownership and initiative, making fast initial progress, and rapid iterations lead to the best outcomes. Innovate Relentlessly. We pursue novel insights, challenging the status quo and reimagining how things are done. We aren’t attached to the past when improving our product and how we work in the future. We actively invest time in innovation, thinking “outside the box” to consistently raise our standards. Prioritize Outcomes over Egos. We are committed not to a person, an idea, or an opinion but to continuously making progress to our goals. Sometimes, our goals are ambiguous; in those moments, we iterate, learn, and move on to the next inquiry. We ask the tough questions with kindness, dropping our egos in our pursuit of evidence. For our business goals, we learn from our users. For our scientific goals, our understanding is built through rigorous experimentation, research, and observation. For our personal goals, we embrace candid feedback and collaborative learning to guide our progress.
