The Financial Services team at Adyen is responsible for accelerating growth across some of our fastest growing verticals:
Financial Services, Professional Services, and Healthcare.
As a Senior Account Executive, Financial Services, you will own go-to-market and revenue growth across these verticals. You will
leverage deep industry expertise to identify where customers face complexity, and position Adyen’s single financial technology
platform, including payments, payouts, terminals, and financial products, as a strategic solution.
You will own the full enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting to close. Success requires the ability to navigate long enterprise
sales cycles, build executive relationships, and translate complex business challenges into strategic opportunities.
This role is for someone who understands how businesses in these industries operate, how money moves through complex ecosystems,

Annual OTE ranges from $330,000 to $480,000, including base salary and target commissions, plus RSUs. This range is based on the

We are seeking a driven, high-energy individual who is passionate about new business acquisition and enterprise sales within the Financial Services sector. As a Senior Enterprise Account Executive, you will be responsible for executing a strategic sales plan targeting Tier-1 Banking and Global Capital Markets customers. You will focus on revenue growth and new customer acquisition, working closely with cross-functional teams to solve high-stakes challenges in fraud detection, anti-money laundering (AML), and real-time risk management. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and execute a strategic territory plan targeting large banking institutions, focusing on mission-critical use cases to build a robust pipeline and achieve sales objectives. * Become an expert in our product offerings and industry solutions, delivering compelling demos and proposals that articulate business value for complex financial ecosystems. * Leverage deep knowledge of the financial market to position our solutions as the best fit for customer needs, highlighting advantages over legacy relational databases and competing technologies. * Lead complex sales cycles with a solution-based approach, employing strategic selling tactics, including the Land & Expand model, to grow high-value banking accounts. * Manage the full sales process from prospecting to closing, consistently securing new logos and expanding within the world's largest financial organizations. * Provide guidance and mentorship to SDRs and Field Marketing to align on banking-specific target accounts and support pipeline development. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and adhering to rigorous forecasting guidelines. * Develop strong partnerships with public cloud providers (AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure) and leverage these relationships to drive growth within cloud-first banking initiatives. What You Bring to the Role: * 7+ years of proven success in enterprise software sales with a consistent track record of exceeding targets within the Financial Services Industry (FSI). * Demonstrated experience managing complex sales processes within enterprise markets, specifically focusing on Data Warehousing, AI/ML, or Fraud/Risk Management. * Proven ability to independently develop close relationships with C-level stakeholders at major banks while managing long-term business engagements. * Deep understanding of commercial open-source business models, including selling on-premise and secure cloud/SaaS hybrid solutions for regulated environments. * Ability to craft and execute sales strategies tailored to the Banking and Securities industry, leveraging partner and Go-to-Market knowledge. * Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills with a knack for building strong business champions. * Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN, or Challenger Sales, and experience working in a fast-paced, competitive market. * Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on customer expectations, including Pre-Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Field Engineering resources. * Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including CTOs, IT leaders, and technical end users, while collaborating with Solution Architects, Professional Services, and Channel Partners. The annual on target earnings range for this position based in the United States is listed below. This range is an estimate, and the actual on target earnings may vary based on Neo4j’s compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and trainings, in addition to geographic location. In addition to the range below, US employees are eligible for a stock option grant and certain roles are eligible for an annual bonus. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. * 8 years of experience in enterprise software sales, with a dedicated focus on the Australian and New Zealand BFSI vertical. * Proven track record of selling complex technical solutions, data platforms, or enterprise infrastructure into the major banks. * Experience executing structured enterprise sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, consultative selling, value-based selling) across multi-stakeholder business and technical business units. * Experience navigating both "hunting" (new business/new logo acquisition) and "farming" (expanding existing footprints and major account management) cycles. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Deep domain expertise within the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) vertical, including strong existing relationships with C-level executives, line-of-business owners, and data architects. * Experience selling cloud-native data architectures, relational/NoSQL databases, analytics platforms, or AI/ML infrastructure. * Strong understanding of the specific compliance, regulatory (e.g., APRA), and data sovereignty frameworks governing the ANZ financial sector. * Proven success co-selling and aligning with the local public cloud provider ecosystems (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and global systems integrators (GSIs). * Strategic acumen to balance high-velocity territory hunting with deep-dive, long-term strategic account planning within institutional banking accounts. ABOUT THE JOB As an Enterprise Account Executive for the BFSI vertical, you will be responsible for driving the adoption and expansion of Neo4j’s graph database technology within the most critical financial institutions. Based in Sydney, you will manage a highly strategic portfolio consisting of premium tier-1 accounts—including several major banks—alongside a rich territory of greenfield financial services and insurance prospects. In this role, you will balance hunting for new logos with a "land and expand" approach to deepen our footprint within existing accounts. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, showing how graph databases solve complex, multi-billion-dollar challenges like real-time fraud detection, anti-money laundering (AML), regulatory compliance, and generative AI enablement. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Familiarity with sales cycles for SaaS products or technology platforms serving strategic enterprise customers. * Deep understanding of the buyer journey and proven ability to lead complex, multi-party sales in a consultative manner. * Experience working with upper middle market and enterprise companies. * Track record of driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, sales, support, product, marketing, and senior leadership to achieve growth targets. * Experience building and scaling GTM disciplines, including strategy development, process design, and operating models. * Background in a growth-stage internet or software company and/or the payments industry. * Familiarity with APIs and their role in digital solutions.
