Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager, Private Equity and Venture Capital We are looking for a Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager to own, scale, and lead our Financial Sponsor (PE/VC) Partnerships channel.In this senior role, you will not only manage a portfolio of high-value PE/VC sponsors but will also be responsible for defining the regional sponsor strategy, building a repeatable playbook, and mentoring/guiding mid-level Commercial Partnership Managers on the team. You will act as the principal liaison between top-tier global Private Equity firms, their portfolio companies (Portcos), and Adyen's executive leadership and commercial teams. Your goal is to institutionalize payment optimization and embedded finance as a core value-creation lever for our sponsor partners, driving high-velocity referrals and long-term enterprise growth. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the commercial go-to-market strategy for the PE/VC channel in North America. Design repeatable playbooks for sponsor engagement, portfolio mapping, and co-selling. * Mega-Fund Management: Directly cultivate and scale relationships with Tier-1 mega-funds, large-cap PE firms, and influential Operating Partners (Tech/Digital/Value Creation). * Consultative Value Creation: Educate PE Deal and Operating teams on how Adyen's single global platform directly improves Portco EBITDA, optimizes working capital, and accelerates international expansion. * Cross-Functional Orchestration: Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Product, Marketing, and Account Management to ensure seamless execution, rapid onboarding of referred Portcos, and robust feedback loops. * Metrics & Performance Tracking: Own the commercial target for the PE/VC channel. Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including partner-originated pipeline, closed-won revenue, and channel ROI to senior executive stakeholders. * Team Mentorship & Coordination: Serve as a player-coach to uplevel and mentor junior/mid-level Commercial Partnership Managers on the team, helping them navigate complex sponsor dynamics and close deals. Who You Are * 8+ years of commercial experience in fintech, enterprise software sales, corporate development, or consulting, * 4+ years of direct experience working within or selling to the Private Equity / Venture Capital sponsor ecosystem. * Payments Industry Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the payments value chain (merchant acquiring, gateway, card issuing, and embedded financial services). * Established Network: A strong, existing Rolodex of relationships with Private Equity Operating Partners, portfolio managers, or mid-to-large-cap corporate decision-makers. * Expert Communicator: Highly polished presenter capable of building trust and driving strategic alignment with C-suite executives, PE Managing Directors, and portfolio board members. * Analytical Thinker: Comfort using financial models, data-driven frameworks, and EBITDA impact analyses to build compelling business cases for sponsors. About the Role We're looking for an experienced Solutions Consultant to join our Solutions Engineering team. As a member of the team, you will partner with our sales and customer success teams as a product and accounting systems expert to help win new customer revenue and expand the revenue of existing customers. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the business requirements of our prospects and delivering personalised live demos. Consultants need to obtain a deep understanding of all aspects of the Payhawk platform so that they can tailor its capabilities to various use cases. Additionally, Consultants will be required to capture and provide customer feedback to the product management team in order to drive product development. Responsibilities * Develop and maintain expertise in feature functionality and practical application of all our product offerings. * Participate in the RFI/RFP processes and respond to technical questions. * Deliver personalised live product demonstrations. Including integration demos, workflows and other complex use cases. * Design, validate and document a product configuration and implementation strategy to share with prospective customers. * Provide accounting and/or accounting system expertise. * Partner with Sales teams to enable and provide accounting context to drive new business revenue. * Partner with the local marketing team attending marketing events and supporting content reviews. * Collect and analyse feedback from prospective customers and communicate it with customer success, engineering, and product management teams in order to drive the product roadmap. Requirements * Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an ERP implementation role or similar finance role (E.g. Oracle, SAP, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics or Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Accounting Manager etc) * Professional Accounting Qualification - CPA is preferred * Experience working in both pre-sales and implementation is preferred. * Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to build relationships with potential customers, understand their environment and introduce new concepts to solve problems. * Ability to balance multiple competing priorities. * Comfort with a fluid, fast-paced environment. * A passion for problem-solving.
