We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of the payroll function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely administrative support. This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Working closely with the Senior Payroll Officers, you will play an integral role in ensuring payroll processes are completed efficiently, Team Members and Team Leaders are supported, and payroll records are maintained to a high standard. IN SHORT As the Lead - Payroll, Americas, you are the foundational point of contact for all end-to-end payroll operations, multi-jurisdictional tax compliance, and accurate employee compensation across the US, Canada, and Brazil. This critical role of a senior individual contributor requires a hands-on expert (6+ years experience) with proficiency in Workday Payroll. Your mission is to execute complex payroll cycles with 100% accuracy, owning multi-jurisdictional tax compliance (US multi-state) and in partnership with payroll providers for Canadian provincial, Brazilian eSocial), global year-end filing (W-2s, T4s, Income Statements), and complex equity transactions (RSUs, ESPP). This position is based out of our New York City office for hybrid working environment (2-3 days in-office per week). YOUR MISSION * Execute and audit multi-national payroll cycles within Workday for US (end to end, in house payroll), and for Canada, Brazil, Mexico together with the local payroll providers, ensuring 100% accuracy and strict adherence to diverse federal, state, and local regulatory requirements * Own multi-jurisdictional payroll tax compliance, including the oversight of tax filings, registrations, and quarterly/year-end reconciliations across all assigned regions * Manage complex tax inputs and statutory deductions specific to US multi-state regulations * Lead payroll tax audits and serve as the primary conduit between On and external tax authorities or third-party vendors to resolve complex filing discrepancies * Drive the continuous improvement of Workday payroll processes by identifying automation opportunities to increase speed and scalability as On expands globally * Act as the subject matter expert for Workday payroll reporting, providing Finance and Talent leaders with high-quality data insights and labor cost analysis * Orchestrate the global year-end reconciliation and filing calendar, ensuring the timely delivery of W-2s (US), T4s (Canada), and statutory Income Statements (Brazil) in accordance with local regulations * Manage RSU and equity-based compensation payroll processing, ensuring accurate tax withholding, reporting, and reconciliation between global payroll systems and equity platforms YOUR STORY * 6+ years of functional experience managing high-volume payroll operations within a fast-paced, global brand * Proficiency in Workday Payroll * Working knowledge of US payroll tax legislation, with a proven ability to independently navigate complex tax nexus and filing requirements * Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end year-end tax processes and successful historical performance in resolving multi-state tax notices and audits * Advanced analytical skills with the ability to break down complex payroll data into actionable insights while maintaining meticulous attention to detail * A collaborative mindset that thrives in a matrixed environment, balancing global alignment with the nuances of local execution * Extensive experience managing complex equity transactions (RSUs, ESPP) within payroll, including "sell-to-cover" tax treatments and mobile employee adjustments * Proven track record of successfully leading multi-national year-end processes, including the management of external vendors for international tax statement production (e.g., ADP W2 Management) YOUR TEAM The HR Operations team is the engine room of the employee experience at On, responsible for building and scaling the systems and data governance that underpin our global workforce. ABOUT THE ROLE Peloton is looking for a proactive and exceptionally organized individual to join our Equity team. This role is responsible for the accurate and efficient administration of the company’s global stock plans, working as a key collaborative partner to various internal teams. The ideal candidate is an intellectually curious problem-solver who combines strong technical skills with excellent communication. YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON * Accurately and efficiently handle the day-to-day administration of Peloton’s stock plans globally, collaborating with internal departments including Compensation, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, People (HR), and Legal as well as external partners like our stock plan provider, broker, and transfer agent * Maintain the company's equity administration platform (Shareworks, espp.com) with meticulous accuracy, ensuring it is the single source of truth for all equity data. Verify all equity plan transactions (grants, releases, exercises, dispositions, etc.) are accurately processed * Effectively communicate with employees about equity compensation programs, providing clear and concise information. Assist in developing and updating employee-facing communications and resources to help participants understand the value of their equity * Partner with Peloton’s People Systems Team, Payroll Team, Legal Team, and advisors to optimize and maintain Shareworks to meet the specific needs of our equity programs and facilitate downstream reporting * Assist with global equity payroll reporting, annual filings, and compliance with international tax and regulatory requirements using Shareworks Global Compliance * Prepare new grant listings to facilitate approval of new equity grants * Assist with preparation of stock-plan related reports, insights, and analysis for Executives, Board Members, Finance, People, Legal, and Payroll as needed * Audit data between the equity platform, HRIS, and Payroll systems. Reconcile transactions, termination dates, tax withholding, and reporting, and other items as required * Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies in existing processes and propose data-driven solutions, questioning "why we do it this way" and “what is the goal” rather than accepting status quo * Assist in building for scale by designing repeatable systems and creating documentation that reduces future manual work and creates sustainable processes * Perform SOX control procedures and maintain meticulous document trails * Leverage generative AI tools strategically to accelerate learning and enhance operational efficiency YOU BRING TO PELOTON * 2+ years of progressive stock administration experience in a global public company or stock plan system provider * Solid understanding of and experience working with Morgan Stanley Shareworks preferred * Must be self-motivated, flexible, and deadline-oriented, with the ability to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy and minimal supervision * Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach and a high degree of initiative * Acute attention to detail and well-developed organization and time management skills * Strong work ethic, including the ability to work independently and solve problems * Completion of 1+CEP test a plus #LI-KN1 #LI-Remote The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position to be performed remotely from any Peloton office or facility, in any U.S. State and any location therein.
