Your mission will be to design, build, and improve scalable network connectivity products in order to deliver reliable and high-performance networking capabilities to our cloud customers.   YOUR FUTURE TEAM We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together. You will be part of a team of 7 engineers, distributed across France and working mostly remotely. The team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Scaleway’s connectivity products, including solutions such as InterLink, Site-to-Site VPN, and Public Gateway. These products are critical components of our cloud infrastructure and are continuously evolving. The team brings together engineers with junior to senior profiles, working collaboratively on complex networking and system programming challenges. Developers often collaborate in pairs on key topics, and knowledge sharing is encouraged through open discussions, optional pair programming, and continuous learning initiatives. You will also work closely with other teams across Scaleway, including product, documentation, design, frontend, devtools, and support, ensuring that our products provide the best possible experience for customers.   Manager information: Charles-Henri GUERIN   YOUR DAILY ROUTINE Develop and maintain backend services for Scaleway’s network connectivity products Design and implement gRPC APIs in Rust for cloud networking services Work on features related to InterLink, Site-to-Site VPN, and Public Gateway Debug complex networking or distributed systems issues Investigate and resolve customer-related technical incidents in collaboration with the support team Participate in architectural and system design discussions Contribute to improving the reliability and performance of networking services Collaborate with teammates and other departments to deliver high-quality products Participate in team rituals such as roadmap reviews, weekly retrospectives, and technical discussions Contribute to experimentation, proof-of-concepts, and continuous learning initiatives   ABOUT YOU HARDSKILLS Strong experience with Rust development Experience designing or developing gRPC APIs Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP, IP, UDP, BGP) Experience working with PostgreSQL or relational databases Familiarity with VPN technologies such as IPSec Experience with networking tools or stacks such as FRR, GoBGP, or similar Experience building or contributing to network infrastructure products SOFTSKILLS Strong collaboration mindset and team spirit Curiosity and willingness to explore complex technical topics Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks Open-minded attitude and willingness to learn outside your comfort zone   WHAT YOU WILL FIND AT SCALEWAY ++++ Hybrid work: We offer up to 3 days of remote work per week. Support data integration into trading systems, propose data-driven solutions to unlock new research opportunities, and manage the full lifecycle of data sourcing projects, from acquisition and exploration to design. Collaborate with Data Engineers to bring datasets into production at scale.  * Data Engineer  Manage extensive datasets across QRT’s research and trading platforms. Design and implement data stores and APIs, monitor the health and performance of data processes, and deliver production-ready datasets. Provide direct support to Researchers and Traders to ensure they can fully leverage the capabilities of our data platform.  * Data Platform Engineer  Build and maintain the large-scale data infrastructure that powers our research environment.
