Responsibilities: As a Freelance Lecturer, you will be requested to contribute to one or more of the following: A. Teaching B. Research Supervision C. Combination of Teaching and Research Depending on the tasks assigned and as per the accepted terms and conditions, as specified in your contract, you will be required to perform the following tasks: * Teaching the assigned academic modules according to the curriculum and as per the agreed timetable. * Amending or designing and developing a new curriculum for a Course/Unit/Module, if required. * Creating learning material including power point presentations and other supporting material, as per the requirements. * Providing consultation and mentoring to students. * Ensuring the guidance required to students for development of relevant skills as per the objectives and learning outcomes of the Course/Unit/Module. * Preparing students for summative assessment through guidance and formative assessment, as applicable. * Communicate effectively with students and providing regular feedback about learning. * Playing a proactive role in promoting the school through academic activities and thought leadership. * Monitoring student performance or assisting students in academic environments, such as classrooms, laboratories, internships or projects. * Supervising Dissertations/ Projects/ Internship as per the prescribed standards. * Participating in School’s activities as assigned by the Dean of the Faculty and/or Chief Academic Officer. Your tasks: In line with the job responsibilities described earlier, your tasks mainly be one or more of the following as assigned by the Dean of the Faculty/ Chief Academic Officer: * Conducting Teaching Session * Mentoring and guiding students for accomplishing the desired learning outcomes * Supervising Dissertation * Guiding Projects and Internship activities * Preparation of Assignments and Tasks Descriptions for Assessment * Examination and Evaluation related work * Mentoring students and providing them regular feedback * Creating learning material and supporting resources * Any other academic tasks as assigned and mutually agreed. DEIN PROFIL Essential: * PhD or equivalent qualification with evidence of theoretical/ practical knowledge in your domain of expertise. * Strong knowledge of practical tools and techniques, if applicable, in your domain od knowledge. * Very good knowledge of Windows OS, of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). * Fluent in spoken and written English (C2 level). * Very good organisational and communication skills. * High social competence and assertiveness. * Maintaining an overview even with high workloads. * Resilient and flexible. Desirable: * Scientific publications in a related discipline. * Prior teaching experience in higher education at the University level. * Professional experience in your field of expertise. * Knowledge of Educational Platforms (i.e., Canvas, Blackboard etc.). * Sound knowledge of study regulations and rules. DEINE AUFGABEN * Working closely with the academic leadership and the Academic Faculties in the various areas of administration, particularly the timetabling and room allocation of programmes for BSBI’s branches in Spain. * Being responsible for the scheduling and timetabling activities of the Faculties in Spain under the coordination of the Head of Academic Operations and the Provost & Chief Academic Officer of the School. * Keeping a very good organisation of the Freelance lecturers’ administrative part: starting from recruitment, organising interviews together with the Deans and the Provost & Chief Academic Officer of the School, liaising with HR in relation to referencing and contracts, ensuring clear oversight is kept on the remuneration, hours allocated, invoicing procedure. * Understanding very well the requirements from the university partners in relation to procedures, lecturers utilisation, approval process for the lecturers etc. * Liaising across functions/departments, for example, invoices need to be relayed in appropriate time to the Finance department, changes in timetables need to be relayed to the programme co-ordinators team. * Working very closely with the Exams & Assessments Office in aligning university partner expectations to timetable, delivery etc. * Carrying out other related academic administration duties as required. * Coordinating all the relevant activities and be responsible locally for the Canvas platform and the application of BSBI’s didactic model * Overseeing the timetabling of didactic activities for all local Executive, Professional and Ceetificate Programmes. * Scheduling appointments with lecturers. * Monitoring faculty performance (including freelancers) and provide evaluation reports. * Proposing new members of faculty for teaching positions. * Organising the didactic environment to promote productivity and learning. * Organizing development sessions to improve practices and assist lecturers to apply new techniques. * Communicating effectively with faculty members and students to convey passion for learning. * Overseeing the records of students' assessment results, progress, feedback, or school performance, ensuring confidentiality of all records. * Assisting the Provost & Chief Academic Officer giving the guidelines for lecturers to prepare lesson plans and tutoring sessions according to the Programmes‘ needs and goals. * Developing reports for the Provost & Chief Academic Officer. * Researching or recommending new innovative ideas to complement the activities of the School locally. * Performing day-to-day tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork related to the administration of all the related activities. * Playing a proactive role in promoting the School. * Participating in School‘s activities (including extra-curricular) as required by the Provost & Chief Academic Officer of the School. * Working very close and under the guidance of the Provost & Chief Academic Officer of the School * Assisting the Provost & Chief Academic Officer of the School and the Deans in all the administrative and educational tasks and duties. DEINE AUFGABEN Position * Teaching the assigned academic modules according to the curriculum. * Administering, proctoring and marking all students‘ assignments and exams papers of all assigned classes. * Amending or designing and developing a new curriculum for a Module if required. * Updating a Syllabus or Syllabi if required. * Supervising a number of Dissertations per academic year (if required). * Providing consultation and mentoring to students. * Creating assignment briefs and exams papers. * Providing feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence. * Teaching students study skills relevant to programmes and exam-taking strategies. * Providing, if needed, private instruction to individual or small groups of students to improve academic performance and to prepare for exams. * Assessing students' progress throughout tutoring sessions. * Scheduling tutoring appointments with students. * Monitoring student performance or assisting students in academic environments, such as classrooms, laboratories, or computing centers. * Organizing the tutoring environment to promote productivity and learning. * Participating in training and development sessions to improve tutoring practices or learn new tutoring techniques. * Communicate effectively with students and convey passion for learning. * Maintaining records of students' assessment results, progress, feedback, or school performance, ensuring confidentiality of all records. * Preparing lesson plans or learning modules for tutoring sessions according to the Programmes needs and goals. * Creatively design teaching materials that maximizes student’s experience. * Developing content, both written and recorded, as directed by the Chief Academic Officer. * Researching or recommending textbooks, software, equipment, or other learning materials to complement tutoring. * Communicating students' progress to students in written progress reports, in person, by phone, by e-mail and/or teleconferencing. * Identifying, developing, or implementing intervention strategies, tutoring plans, or individualized education plans (IEPs) for students. * Performing day-to-day tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork related to teaching activities. * Provide feedback to students on their progress. * Playing a proactive role in promoting the School. * Providing all students with tutor support to develop their assignments * Participating in School‘s activities as required by the Chief Academic Officer.
