Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop

So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and
care into a single, acclaimed user experience.

Join our vibrant People team as People Ops! * This role has a strong operational dimension. It calls for a genuine appetite for analysing available Learning and Development data, building efficient and automated processes that will still hold up in ten years, and a sharp understanding of both business strategy and culture. It also requires the ability to understand and work with a wide range of stakeholders. In practice, it means scaling our training policies and processes, and running programmes such as the Coaching Academy (see more here). * Below is an overview of the role's key missions. * All of those missions cover all the countries in which Alan operates (Belgium 🇧🇪 , Canada 🇨🇦 , France 🇫🇷 and Spain 🇪🇸 ) and also employees under employment of record. * The People Growth will be mentored by Aude Vantyghem, who leads these topics at Alan. ` The People team * The People team is made up of 11 people who are lucky enough to work in an environment shaped by Alan's Leadership Principles. Every single one of them is a genuine fan of our products and deeply committed to Alan's health mission. * It is a generalist team: everyone shares three core missions, namely People on-call, individual situation management, and HRBP. On top of that, each person owns one or more cross-functional topics depending on their flavour. * The team covers Learning and Development, Payroll and Admin, Employee Experience and Operational Efficiency, Compliance and Employment Law, and Comp and Ben. Your Missions On top of the core missions shared across the People team, you will be responsible for: * Writing clear, user-centric documentation on our key processes and policies * Streamlining and simplifying operations wherever you spot an opportunity * Automating recurring processes — at our scale and pace, manual or one-off solutions simply do not hold up * Leveraging AI to multiply the impact of your work * Making data-driven decisions: analysing available Learning and Development data to guide priorities, measure impact, and continuously improve what we build * Scheduling, running, and continuously improving our training programmes for Leads and Coaches, and measuring their impact * Contributing to scaling our Coaching system * Gradually taking on individual situation management, with full training and support along the way * Progressively supporting Leads and Coaches at Alan (check out our unique management system), with training and support along the way. Outcomes within your first months in the team By 2.5 months: * You are autonomous in answering day-to-day requests from Alaners through our on-call system * You have documented or improved documentation on one People Growth process or policy * You have shadowed and been reverse-shadowed on individual situation management * You are able to run our training programmes end-to-end, from scheduling to collecting satisfaction data * You have taken our automation training and shipped one automation * You are able to run basic internal ops recurring tasks By 5 months: * You handle simple individual situations without supervision * You have maintained data quality across your People Growth scope and flagged structural improvements to existing processes * You are driving continuous improvement on at least one training programme, using data to guide your decisions * You have started contributing to scaling our Coaching system, with growing autonomy IS IT WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR? You may be a great fit for this role if: * At least a first experience in HR — recent graduate profiles with an internship are welcome * Fluent in English, written and spoken — all our internal processes, documentation, and communications are in English * Based in Paris (Valmy) or in one of our physical offices * A genuine interest in Learning and Development, training coordination, or People Growth * Personal methods to prioritise and adapt when workload or context shifts * Rigorous, with rock-solid attention to detail * Autonomous: you share a way forward when you spot a problem, while knowing when to ask for guidance on more complex situations * A demonstrated appetite for data: you are comfortable working with numbers, spotting trends, and using insights to make decisions * A demonstrated interest in automating and improving recurring processes, not just executing them * AI-enthusiastic: you actively look for opportunities to leverage tools to amplify your work * Comfortable interacting with a wide range of people, including senior stakeholders, both internally and externally Nice-to-have We are not looking for all of the below - any one of these backgrounds can be a strong signal depending on your routing. * You have prior experience in HR ops, even as an intern or work-study. * You come from a tech start-up or scale-up background. * You have experience in operations, project coordination or office management. * You have a background in consulting, audit, legal, compliance, finance or operations. * You have a background in teaching. For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the A1-B0 level range. 🌍 HOW WE WORK * Location: You must be legally eligible to work from France. * Remote work: We offer remote work flexibility, but we value in-person collaboration 🎯 IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES. The Insurance Legal team is rising to meet that challenge, and we're looking for an intern ready to learn by doing, with real exposure to meaningful legal topics from day one. You'll work directly alongside our Insurance Legal and Compliance team on a focused but genuinely impactful scope. What you'll be working on: * 📋 Regulatory and legal monitoring — tracking developments in insurance law (ACPR, legislation, case law) and turning them into clear, actionable summaries that non-legal teams can actually use. * 🎧 Handling legal questions from operational teams — providing a first level of legal analysis on questions raised by operational teams (Care, Ops, Sales, Product). * 🛠️ Legal tools and templates — maintaining and enriching our internal playbooks, regulatory summaries, and guidelines so they stay accurate and useful. * 📝 Ad hoc legal analyses — contributing to analyses on insurance law and social protection topics (CCN compliance, Évin Act, duty of advice, portability…), with growing autonomy as you build confidence. You won't be doing busywork. At Alan, we write things down, share knowledge openly, and expect everyone, intern included, to take ownership when spotting a gap that needs to be fixed. ⭐️ IS IT WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR? ⭐️ You may be a great fit if you: * Are completing a Master 2 in Insurance Law or Social Protection Law,with solid foundations in group insurance and social protection (Évin Act, portability, prévoyance collective). * Write clearly and get to the point: you lead with conclusions, avoid jargon, and produce output that's easy for non-lawyers to act on. * Are genuinely curious: you dig into topics on your own, ask the right questions, and don't wait to be walked through everything step by step. * Understand that law must serve the business: you connect legal analysis to real operational stakes rather than stopping at the theoretical answer. * Are fluent in French; English is a plus if you can read and engage in writing. * (As a plus) Have a previous internship in insurance, supplementary social protection. For this role, we are looking to hire at the A0–A1 level range. 🌍 HOW WE WORK Location: You must be legally eligible to work from France.
