WHY WE NEED YOU? Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Storage team to build a robust and scalable IaaS infrastructure that can absorb increasing loads and support technological ambitions like data/AI pipeline industrialization and data security. Your mission will be to act as a senior Product Leader and owner of a strategic portfolio of storage products (Object Storage: Standard, One-zone IA, Glacier, etc.) in order to ensure high-quality delivery, define product vision, drive growth, and champion product management best practices within the organization. You will be part of a team of 3 people within the Storage product group, which is currently organized with 1 Head of Product, 1 Senior PM for Object Storage, and 1 PMs for Block & File. You will collaborate directly and daily with engineering teams, as well as cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, supply, and sales. YOUR DAILY ROUTINE Define and drive the product roadmap for your storage portfolio Act as the "Voice of the Customer" during discovery and design phases Accelerate innovation and orchestrate Proof of Concepts (PoCs) with R&D and engineering Coach junior Product Managers in their discovery, delivery, and metrics practices. Contribute to the Go-to-Market strategy to accelerate growth across new products, features, and regions Balance global strategic vision with hands-on, ground-level operational execution Collaborate with engineering, marketing, finance, supply, and sales teams on product alignment Interface with customers through various channels like community Slack channels, meetings, and RFQ responses ABOUT YOU HARDSKILLS: 10+ years of experience or more, with a solid background in Product Management Proven experience managing complex technical products (Software or Hardware) or large-scale infrastructure projects Experience working within a cloud-centric ecosystem (IaaS, Cloud, Storage, Infrastructure, or HW Lifecycle Management) Proficiency with data-driven decision-making and product metrics Familiarity with collaboration and data tools such as Jira, Confluence, Metabase, n8n, and Slack SOFT SKILLS: Synthesis & Prioritization: Ability to arbitrate and bring clarity to complex or cross-functional environments Tech Culture: Strong curiosity and passion for innovation, infrastructures, or storage technologies Analytical Mindset: Data-driven approach to ensure product growth and clear business impact Mentorship: Natural ability to guide, coach, and level up more junior profiles Influence & Leadership: Ability to evangelize and carry the product vision both internally and externally WHAT YOU WILL FIND AT SCALEWAY ++++ Hybrid work: We offer up to 3 days of remote work per week. Your mission will be to define the global technological vision and orchestrate the engineering strategy in order to guarantee the performance, SLAs, and scalability of our distributed storage systems while managing a team of engineering managers and technical experts. You will be part of a team of 30 to 50 people. The Storage Tribe builds and operates the critical infrastructure that powers our customers' data needs at a massive scale. Managing hundreds of petabytes of data, the team develops homegrown object and block storage platforms using technologies like Ceph and distributed encoding. The team is organized into squads led by Engineering Managers and Tech Leads, covering low-level development, SRE, and production stability. Your mission will be to drive critical architecture projects, design new service classes, and implement new technical features for our Object Storage product in order to ensure maximum platform reliability, support new regional expansions, and handle massive workloads constraints (100+ Petabytes). YOUR FUTURE TEAM : We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together. You will be part of a team of 3 individual contributors (making you the 4th member of the squad). As part of the specialized Object Storage team, you are the technical owner of Scaleway's S3-compatible platform. You will work closely with the Beekeeper team (developing the underlying SDS backend) and the SRE Storage team (handling live infrastructure operations), managing a massivescale deployment across over 1,000 servers. Manager information: Iannis Formet YOUR DAILY ROUTINE : Tasks : - Lead and execute major high-impact projects, such as opening new regions/Availability Zones and designing new service classes. - Integrate and deploy new functionalities for our homegrown, S3-compatible Object Storage platform. - Actively bridge the gap between low-level system administration and high-quality Devops management. - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve highly complex, distributed system anomalies and infrastructure incidents. - Collect and prioritize customer feedback alongside requests from internal operations groups (like the SRS/SRE team). - Escalate software bugs and request fundamental product evolutions from the backend SDS core engineering team (Beekeeper). - Participate in level-2 rotating on-call support duties to guarantee product continuity and strict SLA compliance. - Support hardware-related infrastructure mutations and plan field interventions in close collaboration with Data Center squads. - Conduct constructive peer code reviews to enforce strict technical standards and overall software quality. - Maintain technical product documentation and produce clear onboarding guides for incoming teammates.
