Our journey: Founded in 2017 by Alexandre and Steve, Qonto has grown to 1,600+ Qontoers serving over 600,000+ customers across 8 European countries. We have been profitable since 2023, and we are just getting started.
Our beliefs: We hire for skills and potential. With 80+ nationalities, 45% women, of which 56% of women in our leadership team, diversity isn't a program; It's who we are. We've built a discrimination-free hiring process because the best teams are built on merit.
AI at Qonto: AI is deeply embedded in how we work (here) - Every Qontoer gets unlimited access to the best AI tools. We want people who experiment without waiting for permission, push AI beyond the obvious, know when to trust it, and when to question it.
Location: You can choose to work at Qonto as long as you're living in (or willing to relocate to) either Germany, France, Italy, Serbia, Portugal, or Spain.
➡️ Mission
Join us as an Android Engineer and help us build the mobile experience that 600,000+ European businesses rely on every day to manage their finances. You'll own product-critical features end-to-end — from technical design to rollout — in a large, modular Kotlin codebase where craft and velocity both matter. You'll work closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Frontend.
➡️ What you'll do
Own features end-to-end: You'll take ownership from discovery and technical design through implementation, rollout, and iteration on features that help businesses pay, get paid, and stay in control.
Drive technical decisions in your squad: You'll shape solutions with Product, Design, and Backend by clarifying tradeoffs across UX, performance, security, and time-to-market.
Raise app reliability and maintainability: You'll improve architecture, performance, and test strategy to scale the app without compromising stability.
Tackle complex mobile challenges: You'll contribute to real-time synchronization, resilience patterns, and smooth navigation in a modular codebase with ~1,000 modules.
Grow the team's Android craft: You'll lead code reviews and technical discussions, share patterns, and mentor peers to raise the bar on quality and delivery.
➡️ What we're looking for
Strong Android native experience: You've shipped and maintained production features with Kotlin and are comfortable owning technical decisions end-to-end.
Quality-driven mindset: You care about testing (unit, UI, snapshot), clean code, and pragmatic standards that keep teams moving fast.
Problem-solving approach: You thrive in ambiguity and turn complex constraints into simple, robust solutions.
AI-native workflow: You use AI coding tools daily to amplify your output — not just experiment with them.
Collaborative by nature: You're fluent in English and contribute through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
➡️ What we can offer you
An AI-first engineering environment: Unlimited access to Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot — and a culture that expects you to use them to raise the bar, not just go faster (click here to read our vision statement on AI)
Engineering standards that scale: Strong code review culture, continuous refactoring, and a focus on correctness in a regulated context.
A technically demanding domain: Fintech constraints — security, compliance, real-time data — push you to solve problems most mobile engineers never encounter.
➡️ Our methodology, the Qonto Way
We value upfront technical design, team reviews, and smart slicing — quality drives the velocity our customers need.
Our org assigns one team lead per project across stacks, giving your team a clear mission and full autonomy on how it operates.
Our lean toolbox, Kaizen and PDCA, lets you monitor and drive continuous improvement collaboratively with your peers and manager.

➡️ Your future team
As an Android Engineer, you will join one of Qonto's squad teams, each organised around a clear project mission, with one team lead and full ownership of a product scope. You'll be part of a 140+ mobile engineering community within a 500+ Product Engineering department, working in focused teams of 5 to 10 people alongside Product, Design, and peers from Frontend and Backend.
HEY THERE At Yazio, our product squads are the engines that drive our mission: helping people lead healthier lives. We're looking for a product-minded Senior Mobile Engineer to join one of our core squads and build the features that empower millions of users on their wellness journey. As a key member of a cross-functional team, you'll partner closely with your Product Manager, Engineering Manager and Designer. You will be a vital voice in shaping our product, leveraging our Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) stack to deliver elegant, high-impact solutions for both iOS and Android users. This role is 100% remote and open to candidates based in Germany, Spain, Portugal or the U.K. YOUR MISSION Your mission is to translate user needs and product vision into robust, high-quality code that powers a world-class user experience. You will own the technical execution within the squad, living best practices and helping the entire team. * Own Features End-to-End. You will take ideas from a technical design to a polished, deployed feature. You'll be responsible for writing clean, maintainable code, ensuring high test coverage and monitoring the impact of your work in production. * Partner with Product and Design. You won't just be handed tickets. You'll be a key contributor to the "why," providing technical insights, weighing trade-offs and helping to shape a roadmap that is both ambitious and achievable. * Champion Technical Excellence. You will be a steward of our codebase, helping to manage technical debt, improve performance and drive the adoption of modern practices within our Kotlin Multiplatform architecture. * Elevate the Team Around You. You'll act as a mentor for other engineers, leading by example with thoughtful code reviews, improving team processes and sharing your knowledge to help everyone grow. YOUR PROFILE We're looking for a seasoned engineer who is passionate about the craft but even more passionate about the impact their code has on users. * Deep Expertise in Modern Mobile Development. You have significant experience building native mobile apps on Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose). Experience with iOS development (Swift, SwiftUI) is a plus, along with a willingness to expand ownership across both ecosystems. KMP experience is a big plus. * A True Product Engineer. You are obsessed with the user experience and the "why" behind what you're building. You're comfortable with product metrics and are driven to see your work make a measurable impact. * Pragmatic and Results-Oriented. You have high standards for code quality but also know when to make pragmatic trade-offs to ship value to users. You see technical debt as a portfolio to be managed, not a moral failing. * A Collaborative Force Multiplier. You thrive in a team environment. You give and receive feedback graciously and believe that mentoring others and improving shared tools are essential parts of your role. * Excellent Communicator. You can clearly articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical partners, ensuring everyone is aligned. * Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform is a massive plus, but a strong foundation in native development and a passion for learning are most important. OUR CORE TECH STACK We believe in Kotlin Multiplatform and use it heavily in our modularized monorepo. We share as much code as possible outside of the UI layer, while building the fully native UI using Compose on Android and SwiftUI on iOS. * We use libraries like: * kotlinx.coroutines * kotlinx.serialization * Ktor * SQLDelight * Metro for dependency injection. WHY US? * An exciting product with millions of users in over 150 countries, driven by our mission to transform the world through healthy eating * A remote-first setup: work 100% from home, join a co-working space, or work abroad for several weeks per year * 30 vacation days to relax and recharge, plus 5 child sick days if your little one needs you * A focus-driven culture that values efficiency over long hours - no overtime expectations, and if it happens, you get that time back! * A high-impact environment where your work drives real change - short decision-making processes and no micromanagement * A team culture where ambition and balance go hand in hand, supported by strong connections - from our fully covered company retreat to team meetups and virtual coffee breaks * Tools and support to do your best work: MacBook, monitor, and €1,000 annual learning budget, plus regular feedback and career development * A truly international team with English as our company language and a shared commitment to growth and well-being - supported by Sunday Supplements and Nilo Health DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION At Yazio, we believe that diversity fuels innovation. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of gender identity, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, or ability, feels valued and empowered. We celebrate different perspectives and actively encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply. READY TO JOIN US? Excited to take Yazio to the next level and help people worldwide lead healthier lives? We’d love to hear from you! Please send us: * Your CV in English * A few lines (or a short video if you prefer) about who you are and why you want to work at Yazio * Any additional materials that showcase your work (e.g., LinkedIn profile, portfolio)
