About Prelude
Prelude is redefining how companies authenticate and onboard users - turning what's traditionally a cost center into a growth
lever.
Our flagship product lets businesses send OTP codes with the best price-to-conversion ratio on the market, dynamically selecting
the most effective channel in real time (optimized SMS, WhatsApp, and more) while actively blocking spam and fraud that legacy
providers miss.
Founded in 2022 by former Zenly team members who lived the pain of broken SMS authentication firsthand, we're already serving
fast-growing companies across Europe and are expanding into the US.
But authentication is only the starting point - we're building the platform for trust at scale, with an ambitious roadmap of
market-defining products ahead.
Why join us
Today, we're a team of 60 and growing, based in Paris, building products that power secure and high-performance user onboarding
for companies across the world. We believe small, highly skilled teams outperform large, fragmented organizations, and we are
intentional about staying focused on impact, quality, and speed.
We operate with a flat org structure and value in-person collaboration, which helps ideas move faster, decisions stay grounded,
and teams take full ownership of what they build.
Our values
We care deeply about our customers, our teammates, and the quality and reliability of what we ship.
We move fast, test in the real world, and iterate quickly rather than over-optimizing in theory.
We take responsibility end to end, from identifying problems to delivering outcomes and learning from results.
About the role
Internal tooling is not a backlog item at Prelude — it's a strategic lever. As we scale from 50 to a much larger team, the speed
at which engineering, ops, sales, support, and finance can operate depends on the tools we put in their hands.
You'll own that surface. You'll build the internal tools and AI-powered automation that make every team at Prelude move faster,
ship with confidence, and spend their time on the work that actually matters. You'll work directly with internal stakeholders to
find friction and turn it into functional, reliable software — and you'll be our edge in AI engineering, evaluating and
integrating the tools that define how a modern company operates. Here are some examples of projects :

ABOUT DEDALE: Dedale is the differentiating source of strategic intelligence in the technology space. With a unique team of over 100 full-time research analysts & planners, Dedale leverages a network of over 10,000 market professionals to deliver on-the-ground strategic intelligence to investors and corporates, with a core focus around North America and Europe. ABOUT THE ROLE: You will be a core contributor on a small, high-ownership engineering team. That means working across the full stack, taking features from design to production, and being someone the team genuinely relies on, technically and otherwise. Day to day, this includes: * Building new features on both the customer-facing platform and the internal tools our analysts use to produce intelligence. * Designing and maintaining the APIs that power our product. * Contributing to our AI initiatives, not just integrating models, but thinking carefully about where AI genuinely adds value in our product. * Participating in architecture decisions and technical discussions, not just executing them. * Reviewing code with the goal of making the whole team better, not just catching bugs. * Staying curious about new tools and approaches, and bringing that curiosity to the team. YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS: Week 1 — You spend your first week getting up to speed. That means onboarding sessions to understand our business, our clients, and what we are building, alongside setting up your environment and getting familiar with the codebase. You will likely ship something small by the end of the week, but the goal is to build a solid foundation, not to prove anything yet. Weeks 2 to 4 — You start contributing independently, picking up bugs and small improvements that let you navigate the codebase with growing confidence. By the end of the month, you are working on your first real feature, customer-facing, with enough scope to be meaningful. Days 30 to 90 — You become a full contributor. You take ownership of features, deliver them without needing hand-holding, and your code reviews are genuinely useful to the team. You have internalized our standards well enough that you are reinforcing them, not learning them. You are autonomous on most technical topics, even if some corners of the codebase are still new to you. By day 90, we know we can give you something and trust that it will get done well. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: You have solid experience building production-grade applications, enough that you know what good looks like and why it matters. You are comfortable with ambiguity, can navigate a codebase that is still evolving, and take ownership without needing to be managed. More specifically: * Strong command of TypeScript, React, NestJS and GraphQL. You know these well enough to have opinions about them. * Experience with relational databases and data modeling (we use PostgreSQL via Prisma). * Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD, and automated testing as part of your normal workflow, not as an afterthought. * You write code for the next person who will read it, not just for today's deadline. * Fluent in English, written and spoken. Our team and documentation are in English. Nice to have: * Experience with workflow automation tools (we use n8n extensively). * Familiarity with LLM tooling or AI integration in production contexts. * Experience in a startup or small team environment where you wore multiple hats. RECRUITMENT PROCESS: * Intro call with a Talent Acquisition Specialist (15-20 mins). * Interview with our Tech Lead (1h). * Case Study (take home test, 3 days to complete) * Final interview with 2 members of the leadership team and coffee chat with the team. * Reference check
