The Opportunity Solana Foundation is seeking a Head of Stablecoins to lead the strategy, growth, and ecosystem development of stablecoins on Solana. This is not a traditional BD or product role. The right person will own the full picture — from forging partnerships with stablecoin issuers, exchanges, and DeFi protocols, to designing strategies that drive meaningful liquidity onto Solana, to working with product and engineering teams to remove friction and unlock new use cases. The ideal candidate thinks like a founder: they can set a vision, build relationships at the highest levels, get deep into mechanism design and tokenomics, and execute relentlessly across multiple work-streams simultaneously. They understand that growing stablecoins on Solana requires a combination of strategic partnerships, smart commercial structures, product thinking, and ecosystem coordination. The mandate of this role is not to drive organic or marginal growth, rather it is to drive step function/breakthrough growth. What You'll Do * Define and own Solana Foundation's stablecoin growth strategy end-to-end — from issuer relationships to on-chain distribution and utility * Build and manage relationships with major stablecoin issuers, exchanges, custodians, market makers, and DeFi protocols to deepen stablecoin supply and usage on Solana * Design and oversee commercial strategies, and liquidity initiatives that attract and retain stablecoin capital on-chain * Work closely with product and engineering teams to identify infrastructure gaps, improve developer tooling, and enable new stablecoin use cases (payments, treasury, remittances, DeFi) * Collaborate with ecosystem teams across DeFi, payments, and institutional adoption to ensure stablecoin growth compounds across verticals * Track competitive dynamics across chains, analyze what's working, and adapt strategy quickly * Represent Solana Foundation in executive conversations, industry working groups, and at major conferences What We're Looking For * 7+ years of experience spanning some combination of business development, product strategy, growth, or protocol/ecosystem leadership — ideally in crypto or fintech * A founder's mindset: high agency, comfortable with ambiguity, able to context-switch between a partnership negotiation, an incentive model, and a product spec in the same day * Strong understanding of stablecoin mechanics, DeFi liquidity dynamics, and on-chain incentive design * Proven ability to build and maintain senior relationships with issuers, protocols, and institutional partners * Sharp analytical thinking — comfortable working with data, modeling scenarios, and making trade-offs * Excellent communicator who can translate complex on-chain dynamics into clear strategic narratives for both crypto-native and traditional audiences * Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-moving, lean, globally distributed team Bonus Points * Direct experience at a stablecoin issuer, DeFi protocol, L1/L2, or crypto-native fund * Background in commercial strategies, tokenomics, or liquidity strategy * Existing relationships with major stablecoin issuers and key DeFi teams building on Solana or across chains * Experience in payments infrastructure or traditional capital markets

Senior Rust Backend Engineer

You'll be one of the first engineers on a small, autonomous team building from scratch. This isn't a role where you maintain existing systems, you'll design and ship the core backend architecture for a product with real deadlines, real users, and a tight timeline. The first milestone is a working demo within 4 months. Full production launch within 10. WHAT WILL BE YOUR AGENDA? * Design and build the core backend services in Rust, real-time data processing, WebSocket infrastructure, and high-throughput event pipelines. * Architect and implement a simulation engine that operates against live market data with sub-second latency requirements. * Build risk and evaluation logic - real-time monitoring, rule-based assessment, automated decision pipelines. * Develop and deploy on-chain programs that record and verify platform activity on blockchains. * Integrate external price feeds - WebSocket order book data, oracle networks, and other liquidity sources. * Own the infrastructure - RPC nodes, CI/CD, monitoring, deployment workflows. * Design for scale from day one - the system must handle thousands of concurrent sessions with real-time data streaming. * Work directly with the Head of Crypto on architecture decisions, feature prioritization, and product direction. You'll have a seat at the table, not just a ticket queue. WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE TABLE? * 3+ years of professional Rust development - you think in Rust, this isn't a "learning on the job" position. * Strong backend systems background - building APIs, WebSocket services, real-time data pipelines, and event-driven architectures. * Experience designing systems for high concurrency and low latency. * Comfort with ambiguity and ownership - you'll often be the only person who knows how a subsystem works, and that's fine with you. * You ship first, polish second - we have 4 months to a private demo. You need to be comfortable with speed over perfection, then iterating. * CS degree or equivalent - we care about what you've built, not where you studied. WHAT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE? * Experience with Solana or other EVM-based blockchains, program development, on-chain data patterns, and security considerations. * Familiarity with trading systems, simulation engines, or risk management logic. * Experience with DeFi protocols, oracle networks, or cross-chain infrastructure. * Hackathon participation or open-source contributor. * TypeScript/Node.js for tooling and integration testing.
