The Psychiatrist provides specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnostic clarification, medication review, and clinical
consultation within Spectrum.Life’s end-to-end mental health stepped-care service. The role supports Step-5 escalation and medical
oversight, ensuring members with complex, severe, or diagnostically uncertain presentations receive timely, safe, and
evidence-based care.

On behalf of a well-established outpatient clinic in Southern Norway, we are recruiting a specialist psychiatrist for a permanent role in adult psychiatry. You will become part of a competent interdisciplinary team in a region known for its mild climate and friendly communities. About the role You will work with a combination of inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, with flexibility depending on your experience and interests. In inpatient care, the focus is on patients requiring 24/7 treatment, including acute conditions. You will be involved in assessment, treatment planning, medication, and discharge planning together with the team. In outpatient care, you will be part of a multidisciplinary clinic organised into specialised teams, including general psychiatry, diagnostics, bipolar disorders, and psychosis. This allows for both variation and the possibility to develop deeper expertise within specific areas.
