As a Risk & Monitoring Analyst IV on the Operational Risk and Controls (ORC) team within Global Financial Crimes Operations (GFCO), you'll own quality assurance reviews of TMS investigations that support Coinbase's AML/CFT program. You'll strengthen consistency in case execution, surface procedural gaps, and partner across Operations, Compliance, Analytics, and Learning & Development to turn quality insights into measurable operational improvements. What you'll do: * Review TMS cases against established QA rubrics, including core sampling for regulatory filings (SARs) and risk-based sampling across priority compliance areas. * Lead calibration sessions, office hours, and structured analyst support to drive consistency and deepen understanding of complex procedural requirements. * Conduct root cause analysis on thematic quality issues and translate findings into actionable recommendations for process, training, and procedural updates. * Partner with second line of defense stakeholders and deliver timely, well-supported responses to review and audit findings. * Build and present weekly metrics, dashboards, and trend analyses that highlight risks, performance themes, and improvement opportunities to senior stakeholders. * Train new joiners, validate practice cases, and provide structured feedback to accelerate analyst readiness and quality performance. Required Skills and Experience: * 6+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, audit, or financial crime investigations within a regulated financial services environment. * Working knowledge of BSA/AML laws, regulations, and requirements, with demonstrated ability to apply risk-based judgment when reviewing complex investigations. * ACAMS certification or equivalent AML qualification. * Proven experience producing compliance metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting for operational and compliance stakeholders (proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel and Google Slides/PowerPoint). * Track record of presenting QA findings, root cause analyses, and procedural recommendations to senior compliance and operations leaders across multiple regions. * Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Lead a small engineering team to deliver roadmap features predictably while balancing quality, velocity, technical risk, and business needs * Be accountable for the delivery of features owned by direct reports, ensuring work is well-scoped, estimated, sequenced, implemented, tested, merged, and released effectively * Own technical estimates produced by the team, ensuring estimates are realistic, account for dependencies and risks, and support reliable roadmap planning * Partner closely with product managers, producers, QA, design, art, and other stakeholders to align feature execution with business goals, player experience expectations, and technical constraints * Monitor game performance, live stability, crash rates, FPS, and post-release regressions; identify risks, escalate when needed, and drive action plans with the team * Set and enforce standards for code quality, maintainability, implementation, and review across the team * Mentor engineers on technical execution, code quality, player experience, Roblox/game platform constraints, and engineering judgment * Proactively improve game and feature quality by identifying opportunities to improve responsiveness, polish, stability, performance, and overall player experience * Collaborate with the manager and senior engineers to define technical initiatives, roadmap risks, operational improvements, and technical priorities for the game * Support people leadership responsibilities, including onboarding, structured feedback, performance documentation, growth planning, and identifying gaps against the levelling framework WHO YOU ARE * 3–5+ years of Roblox game development experience * 1+ years of experience leading an engineering team of at least 3 people * Demonstrated mastery of Roblox game development * Shipped games or features on Roblox or similar platforms * Proven experience leading engineers through production feature delivery, including but not limited to: planning, estimation, implementation, QA, release, and post-launch support * Strong technical judgement with the ability to guide architecture, implementation patterns, code quality, and technical trade-offs across a team * Experience monitoring live game or product health through performance metrics, player feedback, incidents, regressions, crash rates, FPS, or related signals * Ability to coordinate release readiness, QA send-off, feature merges, incident response, and post-release follow-through * Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain priorities, risks, trade-offs, and technical expectations to product, design, QA, art, producers, engineers, and leadership * Ability to work hands-on when needed while remaining accountable for team-level delivery, quality, and operational outcomes Nice to Have: * Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent experience working in a development team * Game jam or modding experience * Experience building or scaling live game systems (economy, progression, multiplayer systems) * Familiarity with backend systems, services, or data pipelines * Strong understanding of player experience design and gameplay feel TECH STACK Candidates are not expected to know our stack in advance, but Voldex’s tech stack includes: * Roblox Luau scripting, ROJO * Analytics pipelines (Snowflake,Tableau) * Collaboration tools: GitHub, Discord Voldex is an equal opportunity employer.
