Twin – Research Engineering Internship
Core Platform · Paris / Hybrid / Remote (Europe)
About Twin
Twin builds autonomous agents that are reliable and scalable enough for companies to actually delegate work to them. We engineered
the first commercial agent deployed to 500k SMBs — Invoice Operator — achieving 95%+ accuracy at a fraction of the human cost.
Over the coming months, we expect this first agent alone to automate millions of man-hours.
challenges
Founded in 2024, we've raised €12M from LocalGlobe and the founders of companies like Hugging Face, Datadog, and Alan. Our
ambition: launch and distribute the next generation of high-impact agents, and become the trusted layer where autonomous work
runs.
About the Core Platform team
The Core Platform team builds the foundational infrastructure powering Twin's high-performance, Rust-based agent engine. This
engine manages browser automation, communication between agents and humans, and the evaluation and testing pipelines that keep our
agents best-in-class.
The team's objective is to continuously improve speed, cost, and reliability at scale — and lay the groundwork for training our
own advanced models that will outperform the current state of the art.
About the position
This is first and foremost a software engineering role — but one with a clear long-term target: the systems you build here will
directly enable us to train our own world-class browsing agents, surpassing current industry benchmarks in both performance and
reliability.
In the short term, you'll work on the engineering foundations: better data pipelines, smarter evaluation frameworks, and
reliability tooling. In the long term, that work will fuel the datasets, metrics, and insights that make our models the best in
the world.

What the role involves • Joining internal discussions to understand business problems or opportunities • Building rapid prototypes using AI tools and automation platforms • Creating simple internal tools, assistants or workflow automations • Testing ideas quickly and iterating based on feedback • Preparing prototypes that can later be handed to developers for production if required • Identifying areas where AI can improve efficiency or automate manual processes The expectation is that candidates can move from concept to working prototype quickly using available tools. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE: We are looking for people who are already very comfortable working with modern AI tools and automation platforms. This is not an internship designed to teach someone AI from scratch. Candidates should be hands-on and practical, able to build and experiment rather than only discuss ideas. Ideal candidates typically have experience with things such as: • Advanced use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini,ClaudePerplexity, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, and OpenAI Assistants / GPT Agents). • Prompt engineering and building structured AI workflows • Automation platforms such as Zapier,Jotform, Make (Integromat), n8n, Airtable Automations, Pipedream, Retool, Bubble, and Flowise. • Connecting tools via APIs or integrations • Low-code or no-code development environments • Rapid prototyping and testing of new ideas WE ALSO VALUE VERY POSITIVELY: Additional qualities • Very sharp and quick to understand problems • Strong business understanding (ideally business school background) • Passionate about AI and constantly testing new tools, integrations and automations • Hands-on mindset with the ability to turn ideas into practical solutions quickly A strong interest in business operations and efficiency is important. The ability to understand how companies work and where improvements can be made is just as important as technical curiosity. What this internship offers • The opportunity to work on real internal initiatives using AI and automation • Direct exposure to business operations and product development • A fast-moving environment where ideas can quickly become working tools • The possibility of continuing in a full-time role depending on performance and company needs Locations The preferred locations are: • Barcelona • Dubai • Switzerland Candidates based in other locations may also be considered if the profile fits. Compensation This is a paid internship with a monthly stipend depending on location. Please send your CV together with a short description of AI tools, automations or prototypes you have already built. Links and examples of your work are also welcome. To strengthen your application, you are also encouraged to include a short video introduction (1–2 minutes) explaining: • the AI tools you regularly use • examples of automations or prototypes you have created • why you are interested in this opportunity This helps us better understand how you think and work in practice.
About Us Parity is one of the world’s most experienced companies building the core infrastructure behind blockchain — the system that allows information and value to be shared securely without needing an intermediary. We’re laying the foundation for a better web which respects the freedom and data of individuals, and empowers developers to build better, more trustworthy online services. Our remote-first, global team develops open-source software that anyone can use or improve. This includes Polkadot, Polkadot SDK, and Kusama — key parts of the Web3 tech stack, the next generation of the internet. Our mission is to make Polkadot the most active and innovative community in blockchain, powering a new era of connected and decentralised applications. About the Team This role sits in our Acceleration department, home to the people who drive ecosystem growth by building tools, integrations, and partnerships across the Polkadot network. Reporting into our Polkadot Research Lead, you’ll be joining the Polkadot Research Engineering team. We shape the Polkadot research vision and roadmap, translating ecosystem needs into tools and experiences that accelerate platform adoption. About the Role As a Senior Experience Engineer , you will lead the end-to-end delivery of features, from initial problem discovery to production deployment. This role is designed for a self-directed builder who prioritizes "what" to build as much as "how" to build it. You will leverage an AI-native workflow to iterate rapidly and deliver high-impact solutions to complex user problems. What you’ll do * Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Lead feature development through scoping, architecture, deployment, and iteration based on live user data. * AI-Augmented Development: Integrate AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude) into your daily workflow to accelerate velocity and maximize output. * Autonomous Decision-Making: Navigate ambiguity by exercising sound judgment, filling requirement gaps without waiting for exhaustive specifications. * Rapid Iteration: Deploy MVPs quickly to gather real-world feedback, avoiding over-engineering in favor of momentum and validated learning. * Direct Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders and users to deeply understand pain points and translate them into functional, scalable software. * Cross-Functional Execution: Work proactively across the organization to remove blockers and maintain a high shipping cadence. Your Skills * Proven experience developing and maintaining production-grade web applications (ideally with TypeScript, React, or similar frameworks). * Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component-driven development, and modern build pipelines. * Possess a good understanding of system design and an ability to work with complex systems. * Strong product intuition for applying AI to solve real user problems and ship features that deliver genuine value. About Working With Us Joining Parity means joining team mates who are genuinely excited about the impact their projects are having, and the opportunity to grow alongside some of the brightest minds in the Web3 space! You’ll work remotely and flexibly, while still getting to meet your team mates throughout the year at team and company-wide retreats. Upon receiving an offer, all candidates undergo a background check through Zinc, our trusted third-party provider. Team members will be taken on as a contractor via our UK entity. About Neon Many large companies make billions each year by monetizing Americans’ personal data. At Neon, we’re finally cutting consumers in on the deal. Neon allows our users to make hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars per year by securely selling their anonymized data. We’re backed by Lightspeed, Upper90, Upfront Ventures, and other cool investors. About the role Your mission is to turn Neon's raw consumer audio streams into the cleanest, most reliable training data on the market, and to build the commercial and operational engine that gets it into the hands of the world's leading AI labs. As a Data Ops Lead, you'll own the end-to-end journey that takes raw recordings from our growing community of 500,000+ mobile users and delivers production-ready datasets to frontier labs. In practice, that means three things above all: * Structuring and managing the data deals that turn our recordings into revenue * Holding every dataset to a quality bar that keeps buyers coming back * Standing up human transcription, annotation and other operations, largely overseas, that make it all possible You'll work directly with our CEO on commercial priorities and help shape each deal, interface with buyer-side engineering and research teams at frontier labs to translate their exact specifications into deliverable dataset plans, and partner with internal engineering and external vendors to make sure the pipeline supports what we've sold. This is a foundational role: the datasets and processes you build are the product we sell. You have… * Authorization to work in the US. * 5+ years of experience building and scaling data pipelines for AI/ML applications, with significant time spent on audio, speech, or multimodal data. * A track record of structuring and delivering against data or dataset agreements with external partners: taking their requirements, turning them into clear specifications, and owning delivery end to end. * Experience building and managing overseas or outsourced teams for data tagging, annotation, and QA, with a track record of maintaining quality and throughput across time zones. * Deep ownership of data quality: designing QA processes, defining acceptance criteria, and catching problems before a customer ever sees them. * Enough technical fluency to be credible on both sides of a deal. You understand digital audio fundamentals (sample rates, VAD, multichannel formats), can reason about how pipelines are built, and know what "good" looks like, even if you're not writing every line of code yourself. * A "Founder's Mentality." You're comfortable building from zero and making high-stakes calls with incomplete information. Bonus points * A background working with audio data in some capacity. * Direct experience with training data for TTS, ASR, speaker ID, or full-duplex conversational models. * Familiarity with the modern audio stack (Librosa, FFmpeg, SoX, torchaudio) and cloud data infrastructure (S3, Redshift, BigQuery, or equivalent). * An understanding of how high-quality, speaker-separated audio gets captured (for example, via WebRTC-based recording tools). * Experience with active learning loops, human-in-the-loop QA systems, or corpus stratification for balanced dataset design. * Prior experience leading a data or infrastructure team, including hiring and mentoring engineers.
