Position Overview:
Session Leads are industry professionals who provide world-class technical support to our learners in their Nanodegree journey.
All our session leads are handpicked through a rigorous selection process so that we can truly be #studentfirst.
As a Session Lead/Instructor, you will be meeting virtually on a weekly basis with your students for group work, activities and
short lectures. During the week, students are expected to study an estimated 10 hours on their Nanodegree programs on their own,
and you will be expected to respond to their technical questions and check-in with them to make sure they are making progress.
Required skills/qualifications:
* Fluency in English both written and spoken
* 2+ years of working experience related to the below skillsets.
* Proficiency in the OWASP vulnerabilities, secure coding practices, and experience with Static Application Security Testing
(SAST) tools.
* Ability to conduct penetration tests, identify system vulnerabilities, and implement remediation strategies, aligning with
current industry demands.
* Experience in designing secure systems, implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, and developing tools to
monitor and counteract security breaches.
* Capability to convey complex security concepts clearly, write effective security reports.
* Graduate from Cybersecurity Nanodegree Program is an added plus
* Experience teaching technical concepts and public speaking
* Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to lead a group of students
* Students-oriented mindset and focus on understanding their problems
* Innovative approach and proactivity with students that need help
* Positive character, trusted by the students, creating emotional ties in the group
* Existing tech network and experience in technical conversations & discussions
* Flexibility at their current job to take this challenge as a part-time, external contractor
Responsibilities:
* Managing weekly Connect sessions with students according to Udacity guidelines
* Creating the Udacity Connect session agenda & notes
* Coordinating between the students and the Udacity Connect team
* Reporting to Udacity the weekly overall attendance status of students & observations about each session
* Being present at every Connect session over Zoom, helping students introduce themselves, organizing students in groups and
keeping track of time
* Explaining concepts of the Nanodegree program to your group of students when needed
* Solving questions raised by students during the Connect session
* Reporting student's attendance and progress to the Mentor's dashboard
* Communicating with students on Slack
* Weekly check-in with all students on their progress

Mandatory Technical Skills - Agentic AI
* * Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic reasoning frameworks such as CoT and ReAct
* Experience designing and implementing prompt chains, role-based prompts, feedback loops, and iterative prompt refinement
* Hands-on experience building agentic workflows, including task routing, orchestration, sequential workflows, parallel
workflows, and reflective AI workflows
* Ability to design and implement AI agents with tool use, API integrations, structured outputs, memory, state management, and
database interaction
* Experience with RAG-based agent systems, including single-agent and multi-agent RAG implementations
* Knowledge of AI agent evaluation, including testing, debugging, and improving agent performance
* Understanding of multi-agent system design, including orchestration, routing, state coordination, and multi-agent
architectures

or difficulty with.
Technical Deep-Dive Session:
* For concept deep-dives, mentors will come prepared with a slide presentation that reviews a Nanodegree concept in more detail,
share different use-cases for the concept to broaden student perspectives and understanding, and hold a Q&A session with the
learners.
* For project walkthroughs, a mentor will come prepared with a slide presentation that outlines each element of the rubric to
help learners understand expectations and typical problem areas they may encounter. This can include a mentor “grading” a
sample submission to demonstrate what mentors are looking for when reviewing projects.
Group Q&A Session:
* Host regular sessions (via Slack or video) to address learner queries related to projects and coursework. No prior preparation
required.
