This role follows a 2nd shift schedule, working from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with designated days off on Friday and Saturday.
The Sanitation Associate is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment in
the food processing facility. The Sanitation Associate is expected to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times,
maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, organized and safe manner at all times, and follow all health and safety regulations.

Home Chef offers the base salary range as posted below, with the exact offer depending on factors such as geographic location,
experience, skills, and internal equity. While compensation is within the provided range, it is not typical for offers to be made
at the upper end. In addition to base salary, Home Chef provides a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage,

SHIFT INFORMATION This position may be assigned to either 1st Shift or 2nd Shift. Employees assigned to 2nd Shift are eligible for a Shift Differential in addition to the base hourly rate. Specific shift premium details will be discussed during the hiring process. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JOB DESCRIPTION GENERAL DESCRIPTION The QA Line Inspector I/II is responsible for conducting Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities to ensure finished goods meet established specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. This position supports manufacturing operations through line clearance, in-process inspections, finished product evaluations, documentation review, quality investigations, and enforcement of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Employees at the Level II designation serve as experienced resources for the quality team, providing support, training, and guidance to inspectors while assisting with quality process improvements and special projects. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES QUALITY INSPECTIONS & PRODUCTION SUPPORT * Perform and document in-process quality inspections according to established frequencies and procedures. * Conduct quality inspections of filling, assembly, labeling, packaging, and finished goods operations. * Verify components against Bills of Material (BOMs) and approved specifications. * Review Router Instructions and manufacturing documentation for critical-to-quality requirements. * Verify equipment sanitization status and production line readiness. * Issue product codes, fill weights, line identification tags, and related production documentation. * Establish and maintain visual line standards for production and finished goods. * Compare finished products to approved standards and initiate corrective actions as necessary. * Inspect finished product attributes to ensure compliance with quality standards. * Accept or reject finished goods based on established specifications and quality requirements. QUALITY DOCUMENTATION & COMPLIANCE * Complete required inspection forms and production quality documentation accurately and timely. * Issue, review, and follow up on Quality Alerts, QARs, and other quality notifications. * Report quality issues, deviations, and findings to Quality Management. * Follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns. * Maintain compliance with company procedures, SOPs, customer requirements, and cGMP regulations. SAMPLING & PRODUCT EVALUATION * Collect required samples for microbiological testing, chemistry testing, customer submissions, and retention programs. * Evaluate finished products for appearance, fill levels, labeling, packaging integrity, and overall conformance to specifications. * Review and evaluate line startup conditions before production begins. LEADERSHIP & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT (LEVEL II) * Assist with new hire training and onboarding activities. * Provide support and guidance to QA Inspectors on quality-related issues. * Assist supervisors and leads with quality initiatives and customer sample coordination. * Support the development, improvement, and implementation of quality systems, procedures, and training programs. * Recommend process improvements to improve quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. * Assist with reviewing line paperwork and preparing quality standards for finished products. SAFETY & REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITIES * Promote a safe working environment and comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements. * Enforce Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) on the production floor. * Maintain housekeeping standards and audit readiness within assigned areas. * Ensure production personnel adhere to quality, GMP, and sanitation requirements. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION * High School Diploma or GED required. * Associate degree or coursework in science, quality systems, manufacturing, or a related field preferred. EXPERIENCE QA Line Inspector * Minimum 1-3 years of Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or manufacturing inspection experience, preferably in cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, food, or other FDA-regulated manufacturing environments. Sanitation Associate (NIGHTS) The Sanitation Associate is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas and equipment in compliance with Sanitation, QA, and Health & Safety SOPs, ensuring a contamination-free environment. This role involves handling hazardous cleaning chemicals safely, maintaining sanitation tools, preparing cleaning solutions, and accurately documenting sanitation activities. Additionally, the technician supports training for external sanitation staff, enforces health and safety regulations, and ensures compliance with QA and Cannabis Act guidelines. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience in sanitation within a regulated environment, knowledge of cleaning agents, and the ability to work various shifts while donning required PPE. Position Overview * Clean and sanitize production areas of the facility according to Sanitation, QA and HSE SOPs and work instructions * Prevent cross contamination of product, equipment and product contact surfaces while performing sanitation duties * Work safely with hazardous chemicals and cleaning agents being used – ensure to follow all safety procedures on site including donning of all appropriate PPE (respirator, goggles, etc.) * Maintain all sanitation tools and equipment * Clean and sanitizate production equipment * Prepare cleaning solutions * Ensure timely batch record completion with high accuracy. * Provide training, support and verification of work for all external cleaning service contractors or temps as required. * Promote and enforce Health and Safety regulations and policies * Maintain cleaning and sanitation logs * Ensure 100% compliance with QA requirements during day-to-day activities * Managing waste in accordance with the Cannabis Act and all other local applicable guidelines. * Other job duties as assigned * Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent * Experience working in a sanitation role within a regulated environment preferred. * Previous experience working with cleaning chemicals and agents preferred * Ability to read and correctly interpret documents such as safety rules, regulations, and safety data sheets * Strong ability to prioritize tasks in order to achieve daily sanitation requirements * Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 25 lbs * Previous work experience with a Canadian Licensed Producer (LP) or knowledge of the Cannabis Act, GPP and GMP is an asset * Must be able to work various shift schedules as required. * Must be able to don all required PPE (respirators, goggles, etc.) NIGHT SHIFT SCHEDULE: * - Monday to Thursday, 7:45pm - 6:45am. Weekends off and a 4 day work week. * - Night shift premium is applied at $1.50/hour. * - Breaks are to be broken up based on team needs and discussed with Supervisor/Manager
$15.00 -$18.50 PER HOUR GENERAL PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to ensure the Central Production Facility maintains strict standards of sanitation while limiting any cross contamination in production areas as products are produced. This person will be responsible to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across all areas of the facility including production areas, shipping and receiving areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and offices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Follows established departmental policies and procedures * Handle trash removal and disposal regularly throughout the day, including between production runs * Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, and stocked supplies * Clean and disinfect breakroom areas, including tables, chairs, counters, microwaves, refrigerators, and sinks * Perform routine and deep cleaning of production areas using proper cleaning chemicals and tools * Ensure production areas and equipment are cleaned between products. Equipment can be cleaned in place or may require full breakdown done in the dish rooms. * Operate sanitation equipment * Complete required documentation such as allergen change over logs, chemical concentration logs, etc. * Cleaning and handling of large equipment including blades, processing discs, hoses, etc. * Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) * Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable sanitation standards (e.g., OSHA, GMP, FDA if applicable) * Complete daily sanitation logs, checklists, and documentation accurately * Communicate any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly * Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store as a whole MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
