Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.   Senior Implementation Engineer Adyen is looking for a Senior Implementation Engineer to manage new implementations, enhancements for our existing customers and own pre sales calls for our quickly growing portfolio of merchants. This person will work with Adyen's largest merchants globally to solution, consult, troubleshoot, implement, and launch scalable technical integrations. This position is based in San Francisco, and the ideal candidate is both consultative and technical. We are searching for Senior Implementation Engineers with a solid understanding of, and proven experience with technologies like APIs and front end development, integrations, and project management. This person is also heavily motivated by providing an excellent customer experience throughout the project lifecycle. As a Senior Implementation Engineer, this person will be the primary point of contact for our merchant's technical teams, guiding them through the design, development, testing, and launch phases of their integrations with Adyen's platform.  In this role, the Senior Implementation Engineer will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that encompass various payment solutions, including Point of Sale (POS) systems, e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and card issuing programs. By leveraging their technical proficiency and business acumen, the Implementation Engineer will play a vital role in guaranteeing a smooth implementation process and maintaining open lines of communication with our merchants and internal teams. What you'll do: * Utilize development and programming expertise to create scalable and robust solutions for merchant integrations, while ensuring adherence to payment best practices. * Serve as a consultative partner in specific verticals such as e-commerce, point of sale, and multi-faceted platforms, guiding merchants through integration processes. * Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Account Managers, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver seamless merchant experiences and drive continuous improvements. * Leverage project management and technical consulting skills to oversee high-quality project delivery, guaranteeing the technical integrity of merchant integrations. * Provide consultation on optimizing payment solutions, including checkout experiences, authentication, omni-channel payments, and platform onboarding, while collaborating with Developers and Product Managers to enhance the platform. Who you are: * 8+ years experience integrating and/or providing technical consultation when integrating with Web APIs * Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies, understand complex systems (APIs, databases, SDK's, etc.), and desire to improve technical acumen * Excellent communication skills; comfortable leading meetings with high level decision makers * Empathetic to customer and end-user needs, with the ability to translate business requirements and workflows into technical solutions that deliver value * Ability to identify and clearly communicate pragmatic solutions to complex integration problems * Ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions on how to move forward by pulling in the right people.  * Growth mindset with a bias toward action   Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments  Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. Team Lead, Implementation Adyen is looking for an experienced and motivated leader to join our Professional Services Team to lead a team of Implementation Engineers in North America. You will join a group of peers to propel our Implementation Team to new heights, setting the standard in the industry. This position is based out of our San Francisco office. The Implementation Engineering team supports our large and strategic customers in solution design, integrating and going live in the quickest and most sustainable way possible, with use of comprehensive product knowledge. Implementation Engineers work on innovative complex projects ranging from Online payments integrations, In-Person Payments (IPP), Marketplaces, Card issuing programs and Financial Services.  What you’ll do * Lead a team of implementation managers to deliver a great customer experience and get customers live efficiently, with robust integrations that scale well.  * Act as a sparring partner and escalation layer for the team of implementation managers, helping to navigate complex projects and technical challenges. * Create an inspiring and collaborative team environment with an open communication and feedback culture. * Scaling up the team while preserving the Adyen formula and ensuring our unique culture is fostered * Ambassador of change; help lead the charge of new initiatives  * Drive continuous improvement, understanding what works today and leveraging ideas and insights to make the process better * Collaborate with cross functionality and drive initiatives to develop the (global) IM organization.  * Help define and execute strategic initiatives with the goal of advancing our function's OKRs. Who you are * Experienced in building and managing a team of implementation managers, technical consultants or solution engineers(at least 2 years); this will include coaching, setting goals and objectives and training the team. * Experienced with integration projects within a large global company working in professional services, finance, retail or general technology. * A proven track record of helping to drive global process change, setting up tools and procedures so that Adyen continues to be successful from an operational perspective. * Understand the dynamics of working in a global organization. Implementation Engineer As an Implementation Engineer at Adyen, you will partner with fast-growing and enterprise businesses to design, integrate, and scale how they use Adyen’s payment platform. This role sits at the center of complex technical delivery and pre-sales collaboration, where you help merchants make architectural decisions that directly impact performance, scalability, and global expansion. You’ll work on complex integration challenges where design decisions shape how global merchants operate at scale. We are looking for an Implementation Engineer with strong experience in APIs, integrations, and technical delivery. You will act as the primary technical partner for merchants, owning projects from solution design through to successful launch. What you’ll do: * Deliver end-to-end implementation projects from solution design through to go-live * Design and help merchants build high-performance, API-based integrations for complex systems. * Partner closely with Sales during pre-sales to shape solutions, assess feasibility, and support technical discussions with prospective merchants * Act as the primary technical partner for merchants, guiding architecture and integration decisions * Build alignment  across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to drive the best outcomes for merchants * Guide merchants through technical design decisions, testing, and production readiness * Improve delivery quality by sharing best practices and helping elevate team knowledge * Support a culture of growth by sharing knowledge and helping others unblock and succeed * Act as the voice of the merchant internally, translating customer needs and pain points into actionable insights for Product and Engineering * Advocate for improvements in Adyen’s products and integration experience based on recurring merchant challenges and feedback Who you are: * 5+ years of experience in technical consulting, integrations, or software engineering * Ideal candidate is both consultative and technical * Deep understanding of APIs and experience working across frontend and backend systems * Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous environments * Solid communicator who can lead technical discussions and build credibility with both technical and business stakeholders * Proactive builder who takes initiative to see projects through to completion. * Pragmatic approach focused on working, scalable solutions * You proactively share best practices to help the team grow and to ensure merchants deliver high-quality, reliable integrations * Nice-to-have: Proficiency in JavaScript.
