At Variance, we are using disruptive technologies to solve some of the digital age’s oldest and most complex problems with safe
and effective AI. Our platform helps fraud, Trust & Safety, and Risk & Compliance teams reduce time spent on repetitive manual
reviews and investigations, so they can focus on higher-value decisions. We are rapidly growing and already serve some of the
largest and fastest-growing social media, online marketplace, and financial services platforms.
We’re looking for a Product Designer to define how operators, investigators, and enterprise teams experience Variance. You will
own core product design across complex workflows, translating highly technical AI capabilities into clear, intuitive, and
trustworthy user experiences. You will work closely with founders, product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to design products
that help customers make faster, better, and more confident decisions in high-stakes risk environments.
This is an in-person position. Our office is located in San Francisco, CA.

About Jinba Jinba (jinba.io) is a Y Combinator (W26) company building AI workflow automation for the enterprise. We convert natural language prompts into live APIs and MCP servers, serving 40,000+ enterprise users, including major banks and insurance companies. The Role This is our first design hire. You'll be the product designer at a fast-moving AI company, shaping how enterprises interact with automation tools from the ground up. Until now, our founders and design engineers have owned UI/UX. As our product matures and our enterprise relationships deepen, we are building out our Product Org and looking for a Product Designer who can own the full design cycle, from discovery through to shipped product. You'll report to the Head of Growth and work closely with our founders and our product engineering team. What You'll Do * Discovery & Research: Talk directly to enterprise clients, study the competitive landscape, and identify opportunities to improve workflows and user experience. * Prototyping: Create low-fidelity concepts quickly, run them by engineers and stakeholders, iterate based on feedback, and develop high-fidelity designs ready for implementation. * Collaboration: Work side-by-side with product engineers from design through shipping. You're embedded in the build process, not handing off specs over a wall. * Product Thinking: Contribute to product strategy, not just pixels. Help us figure out what to build, not just how it looks. * Design Systems: Begin establishing design patterns and a component library that scales as our product and team grow. What We're Looking For * 3+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise software. * Strong portfolio showing end-to-end design work — from research and wireframes to polished, shipped UI. * Comfort working directly with engineers and speaking their language. You understand technical constraints and design within them. * Experience with enterprise UX — you know how to design for complex workflows, power users, and multi-step processes. * Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) and prototyping tools. * Self-directed and high-agency. We're a small team; you'll have a lot of ownership. Nice to Have * Hands-on experience with AI/vibe coding tools. If you've used Cursor, Bolt, Lovable, v0, Claude Artifacts, Replit Agent, or similar tools extensively, you'll have strong intuition for the space we're designing in. * A point of view on AI UX. We want someone who's not just following trends but thinking ahead — someone who can identify interaction patterns that even the leading AI companies haven't nailed yet. * Experience designing for developer or technical audiences. Our users are building automations and APIs; understanding that mindset is a plus. Why Jinba * First design role at a YC-backed company with impressive revenue and enterprise traction. * Direct impact – your work ships to major financial institutions and enterprise clients. * Equity in an early-stage company with strong momentum. * Working on one of the most exciting problems in AI: making automation accessible to every enterprise.
This is Adyen Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster. About PX at Adyen Adyen PX (Product Experience) organization consists of a group of full stack builders who own the end-to-end product discovery and execution from Research, Design, to Content perspective. We are at the forefront of building the future of payments, a rapidly changing industry. We approach projects as an opportunity to exceed our customers’ expectations - designing the right experiences, at the right time, the right way. We ensure that Adyen stays a leader and disruptor in the global payments industry by bringing the customers (whether shopper or business) into the center of our product and business decision making. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Drive Systemic Logic & Strategy: Take accountability for the core experience logic that connects different product suites. You work across solution areas to resolve highly ambiguous experience gaps, influencing Adyen’s strategic direction and ensuring global scalability is built into the foundation of our processes. * Architectural Triad Partnership: Partner deeply with Product and Technical Leads (GPMs/VP/Solution Lead) at the earliest stages of the lifecycle. You jointly articulate a compelling long-term strategic vision, ensuring that high-level solution architecture is balanced across user needs, technical feasibility, and business viability. * Eliminate Systemic Experience Debt: Proactively identify and resolve deep-seated gaps across the organization. You co-define and maintain the global PX Quality Bar, building the reusable infrastructure and foundational patterns (e.g., adaptive interfaces) that prevent fragmentation and accelerate delivery across the entire company. * Strategic Mentorship & Craft Leadership: Act as a visionary multiplier by upleveling the craft and decision-making of Senior PXers. You set the standard for professional discourse, involving peers early in strategic architecture to foster the next generation of talent without the need for traditional management overhead. * Design Knowledge-Sharing Ecosystems: Architect the forums and systems that allow the PX org to scale independently. You ensure critical context is documented and shared strategically, preventing organizational bottlenecks and ensuring clarity for geographically dispersed teams. * Champion Alignment & Complexity Reduction: Act as the connective tissue across solutions, advocating for high-quality standards and embodying PX principles to reduce complexity and dependencies across disparate teams. * Industry Innovation: Lead industry scanning to bring new PX methods, tools, and emergent technologies (specifically AI and LLMs) into Adyen, advancing our design framework and operational efficiency. THIS IS YOU * Advanced Experience: 8+ years of experience designing complex, large-scale systems or frameworks, with a proven track record of driving impact across multiple product streams or solution areas. * Strategic Partner: You are comfortable sitting at the table with senior business and technical stakeholders, translating complex user ecosystems and technical trade-offs into compelling, actionable narratives. * Systems Thinker at Scale: You don't just design journeys; you design the systems that govern those journeys. You excel at identifying how a change in one part of the financial suite impacts the global merchant experience. * Mentor by Influence: You have a passion for coaching senior level peers in strategic thinking and craft excellence. You lead through inspiration and architectural standards rather than hierarchy. * Thriving in Ambiguity: You are at your best when the problem is undefined. You take organizational challenges and turn them into clear, scalable frameworks that teams can execute against. * Mission-Driven Architect: You take personal responsibility for the success of Adyen’s company-wide initiatives, setting a high bar for quality and fostering a culture of proactive knowledge-stewardship. Location & Work Expectations * This role is based in San Francisco. * Adyen values in-person collaboration, and we are an office-first company. * Some international travel will be required. Compensation * The base salary for this role in San Francisco ranges from $258,500 to $375,600, plus RSUs. * To learn more about our compensation philosophy, please click here. Coding was first. Recruiting is next — and we're building it. We're designing a coworker, not a piece of software. Taste is how it earns trust. We are an applied AI lab building end-to-end recruiting agents that feel like coworkers. Metaview helps organizations hire with radically more speed and precision. We automate toil and augment humans for teams like Brex, Affirm, Deel, ElevenLabs, and Airtable. Founded by Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, who scaled Uber and Palantir, we have raised over $100M from top-tier investors. We are growing 5x year over year, our customers are raving fans of the product, and our story has been covered in Fortune, Forbes, TechCrunch, and The Times. Now is the time to re-engineer how work gets done with AI at the core, and our toughest challenges still lie ahead. We are looking for people seeking the hardest, most fulfilling work of their lives. WE HAVE ONE VALUE: VELOCITY. Not motion for its own sake, but real progress. We ship every day, ship on Fridays, and skip the tickets, roadmaps, and design-doc theater. We barely write code by hand anymore: every builder on the team orchestrates a stack of agents, and we ship 8x what we did a year ago with the same small team. The designer who can prototype is lethal here — you can take an idea from sketch to shipped without waiting on anyone. Process stays light, standards stay high, and feedback loops stay short. WHAT YOU'LL BUILD Day to day, you'll design and build: * the look and feel of new product experiences across the hiring workflow — from first sketch to shipped pixels * interfaces that make AI agents feel transparent, trustworthy, and genuinely like a coworker * the moments where conversational signal becomes something a user can see, trust, and act on * prototypes that prove out an idea fast — in Figma, in code, or somewhere in between * the craft bar for the whole product: motion, density, hierarchy, the details that make it feel inevitable WHAT YOU'LL OWN In your first 3-6 months, you should: * own and ship meaningful product areas end-to-end, from problem definition through rollout * set how Metaview's AI products look, feel, and behave in real customer workflows * turn messy, ambiguous problems into interfaces that feel obvious in hindsight * contribute to the bar across craft, execution, and product judgment WHAT WE'RE AFTER We're likely to be excited by people who: * have shipped beautiful, complex products in fast-moving software environments * can design and are comfortable bringing it to life themselves — in Figma, in code, or both * have a real point of view on products: what's great, what's broken, and what they'd change * care about the pixels, the motion, and the details most people never notice * like ownership, ambiguity, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, product, and customers * want to help define what AI-native software feels like while the shape of the company is still being formed WHAT YOU BRING Helpful signals include experience with: * shipping products where the pixels matter — rich, interactive frontends, not just a button that calls an API * design systems, real-time collaboration, or other genuinely hard interaction problems * AI-native interfaces: agent interactions, streaming and loading states, the in-between moments of a conversation * side projects or a portfolio that show real obsession with craft * startup or scale-up environments where iteration speed and ownership are both high WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW * A small, sharp, in-person team in San Francisco. Best ideas win on merit, not ceremony. Want to know what it's actually like? Read our unfiltered Slack at metaview.ai/careers#slackbook. * We pay in the top 10% of the SF market — salary and meaningful equity. Our process is fast and direct. It's not unusual to hear back the same day. * We operate with a simplified leveling, early-career, mid-career, and staff and above. Your level sets your comp. No back-and-forth, no games. We track the market closely and adjust when it tells us to. Market refreshers, twice a year. We re-benchmark against the market two times a year and move comp up when it drifts — so "top 10%" stays true, not just true on your start date. * Promotions and raises on a real cycle. We review level and scope roughly every six months. When your responsibilities grow, your comp follows. It's tied to a real change in the work rather than an automatic bump. * Equity that's genuinely competitive. World-class equity option grants so we're all owners. We keep the structure simple: cash and equity. * Visa sponsorship and immigration support. We sponsor work visas and handle the process with you, start to finish. * Health, fully covered (US). 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums — for you and your dependents. * Time off, unlimited. You should feel empowered to take as much time off as you need.
