We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team for large modification projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The roles involve design, verification, and follow-up of electrical installations according to Norwegian offshore standards. This position is available in either Haugesund or Bergen.

Electrical – Senior Engineer 📍 Location: Stavanger We are looking for a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join major modification projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The role involves a mix of design responsibility, package engineering, vendor follow-up, and multidiscipline coordination. 🔧 Main responsibilities • Perform and verify electrical design for offshore modification projects. • Act as Package Responsible Engineer for electrical equipment. • Define and design heat trace qualifications based on P&IDs. • Prepare, check, and approve MTOs and technical demands. • Follow up vendors through engineering, fabrication, and documentation phases. • Maintain and update engineering data in relevant systems and registries. • Produce engineering work packages. • Coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines. • Conduct site surveys when enforced. 🎓 Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent. • Experience from electrical engineering in large modification projects on the NCS. • Solid knowledge of electrical design according to NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, IEC standards. • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. • Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English (written and oral). • Systematic, accurate, and efficient work approach. • Proactive mindset with willingness to share knowledge and seek guidance when needed. • Creative, solution-oriented, and strong at problem-solving. • Basic EX Course: 6–8 hours online or 22.5 hours in classroom. • FSE – High & Low Voltage with First Aid. ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Electrical Engineer will join the Engineering team at Aeris Technologies, based out of our office in Hayward, CA. This role will focus on the electrical design and development of our next generation of high-precision, ultra-sensitive trace gas analyzers. The ideal candidate will have experience designing electronics for laser-based gas spectroscopy systems, with a deep understanding of MIR/NIR lasers, optical detection chains, and the exceptional signal fidelity required for trace gas measurement. Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, this person will own the electrical architecture from concept through production, helping drive new product development and continuous improvement of existing systems. We're looking for an engineer who enjoys solving difficult technical problems and is energized by building products that move from concept into production. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with curiosity, collaboration, and a practical approach to engineering, helping turn complex optical systems into reliable products that customers depend on.
