Implementation Engineer I As an Implementation Engineer I at Adyen, you will help global businesses design, build, and launch scalable payment integrations that power how they operate and grow. You’ll work closely with merchants to translate their business needs into reliable, scalable payment solutions that support their expansion across markets, channels, and products. This position is based in Shanghai, and the ideal candidate is both consultative and technical. We are looking for technical consultants with a solid foundation in APIs and web technologies who are ready to take responsibility for real customer projects early in their careers. You will take responsibility for integrations end-to-end while continuing to grow your technical depth and client-facing skills in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. This role is also a great fit for people transitioning from technical support, consulting, QA, or client-facing roles into a more technical, high-impact, autonomous path. What you’ll do: * Guide end-to-end implementation projects, supporting merchants as they launch and scale their payment integrations * Design and help merchants build scalable API-based integration solutions from solution design through to go-live * Act as a trusted technical partner during the integration journey, helping merchants navigate technical and operational challenges * Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Product, and Engineering to deliver strong outcomes for merchants * Contribute to improving delivery quality by sharing insights and identifying patterns across implementations Who you are: * 3+ years of experience working with APIs, web technologies, or programming — through work or hands-on projects * You can confidently use English on a day-to-day basis for technical conversations (e.g. introduce Adyen solutions to merchants, internal discussions with global teams, etc.) and are native in Mandarin * Strong technical curiosity and a fast learning mindset * You care about understanding how systems work, not just whether they work * You take responsibility and approach work with a “no task too small” mindset * Clear communicator who can explain technical topics simply to both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Comfortable working in collaborative environments where people support each other and share knowledge Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments  Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. You'll be working in a cross-functional and motivated team with a lot of room to start new initiatives and take ownership. Our Team  * You will be working on a cutting edge solution, building the future of mobile payments in the form of a SDK’s, using the most up-to-date iOS stack (iOS 17/18, async/await).  * You’ll be working on mission critical SDK’s used by our merchants like Uber, Booking.com and McDonald's to authenticate financial transactions following the latest cutting edge protocols and technologies, and tackling security and compliance challenges. The purpose of Platform Engineering is to enable Adyen engineers to autonomously build and support secure, scalable and reliable applications with high speed and quality through a common technology ecosystem. As a storage engineer of our Storage team in Bengaluru, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining data storage systems and solutions. This role involves the end-to-end management of our organization's data storage infrastructure. This includes strategic design for scalability, hands-on implementation and integration, continuous performance monitoring, capacity planning, security, and troubleshooting. It also requires proactive maintenance with updates, backups, disaster recovery, and planning for future growth by evaluating and recommending new technologies for data availability, reliability, and efficiency.  SOUNDS EXCITING? What You’ll Do:  * Design and deploy storage infrastructure (SAN, NAS, DAS, Object Storage) in accordance with organizational needs.  * Monitor and maintain storage systems to guarantee optimal performance, availability, and reliability.  * Perform capacity planning and forecasting for future storage needs.  * Develop and implement strategies for backup, replication, and disaster recovery.  * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage systems.  * Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and standards.  * Collaborate with other Platform Engineering teams on system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.  * Automate storage provisioning and management using scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools   Who You Are:  * 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration with a focus on storage (e.g., Ceph) {MANDATE} * Proven experience with enterprise storage systems (e.g., Purestorage, NetApp, EMC, Dell, IBM, Hitachi). {MANDATE} * You have a strong understanding of RAID, LVM, NFS, iSCSI, multipathing, and file systems (ext4, XFS, ZFS, etc.) {MANDATE} * Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems and clustering technologies  * Proficiency in shell scripting;  * You have Python, Puppet or Ansible knowledge experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.  * You have familiarity with cloud storage solutions like AWS S3 and EBS.  * Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.)   Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments  Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives.
