High level purpose of function.
The Production Quality Engineer is responsible for one or more production areas to ensure across the organization that Quality Assurance principles are strictly adhered to. This involves working closely with manufacturing and engineering to support improvement processes to ensure a flawless transition into manufacturing. Specifically, to take part in the specific processes, support in their performance and results, providing technical expertise and guidance to the team to reach targets assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Overall areas of responsibilities and activities. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
Lead quality assurance activities in production ensure that production/product quality specifications are met.
Lead and train quality team members and operations on quality standards and procedures.
Perform onboarding and attendance timesheets validation related to led team members.
Lead problem solving and root cause analysis activities in relation to deviations and quality issues, e.g., 8D and non-conformity investigations.
Contribute to FMEA reviews.
Lead launch activities to ensure the deliverables of different projects.
Collaborate cross-functionally on shopfloor to improve manufacturing processes and implements solutions.
Monitor NCM processes and ensure closing of actions in defined time.
Update and monitor the Quality Control plans for each process operation.
Define and improve Work instructions and procedures for Quality related activities.
Monitor quality procedures, quality KPI's, evaluate performance and make improvement proposals, i.e., Process capability: SPC and Cpk.
Define and monitor MSA activities.
Develop, implement, and audit standard instructions.
Implement and audit standard procedures.
Plan and perform product / process audits and lead action plan to comply with customer's requirements and IATF 16949 and VDA.
Contribute/lead scrap reduction action plan and improvements implementation.

Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
Experience of quality work in relevant industries such as, e.g. Li-ion materials, Pharmaceutical, Food and Paper industries, or automotive industries.
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plan (CP), Lean, Six Sigma, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodology.
Specific skills & Knowledge
Excellent English skills, both written and oral, are essential. Basic Swedish and other language skills are a plus. You should have good communication skills and be able to work in close collaboration with colleagues from many different teams.
Knowledge in Quality Management Systems (QMS), such as, ISO 9001, IATF16949, and Total Quality Management (TQM) principles.
Project management skills and a successful track record of leading quality projects in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Job Scope High level purpose of function. A Quality Technician leads product and process quality compliance in production line. This role is responsible for confirming key quality attributes of intermediate products and processes as well as identifying and responding to non-conformity issues in production. In addition, this role is responsible for analysing test material, incoming parts, product intermediates and finalized products for Production using a range of instruments. This role will work closely with production staff and Quality Engineers. A Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that production processes and products meet internal and customers’ quality specifications as well as defining problems, recommending solutions and follows-up on improvements. Key Responsibilities Overall areas of responsibilities and activities . Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) : Lead day-to-day quality assurance activities in production ensuring that production/product quality specifications are met. Ensure control checks are completed according to control plan in defined time. Ensure robust start of production and coordinated quality handover between shifts. Ensure 5S in control and measurement areas and participate in improving 5S methodology and actions together with production team. Ensure documentation and record of product and process quality data and utilize these to improve processes. Potential to operate various measurement equipment such as a Karl Fischer, measurement by ruler or micrometre, microscopes, perform testing with measuring instruments, perform basic data analysis, interpret data and report data/results as instructed. Interpret data and report data/results on yearly, monthly, and daily basis. Understand and execute the testing plans for material, incoming parts, product intermediates and finalized products. Help identify problems with test material, analysis methods, and instrumentation. Organize test results in the expected template and/or LIMS system and maintain control charts. Be able to troubleshoot instrument on basic and advance problems and utilizing the help of suppliers or experts for more major issues. Act on deviations and ensure coordination with customer processes. Ensure imminent containment activities and decision making in case of non-conformities and quality issues. Mentor less experienced personnel on practical aspects of the analysis methods such as sample preparation and running instruments. Maintain the instruments to a high standard. Ensure conformity of cleanliness requirements in process. Conduct Layered Product audit according to schedule. Contribute to improvement actions in area of responsibility. Complete supplementary tasks as seen fit by management to effectively utilize time and resource for the benefit of the business. Bachelor´s degree in a technical field is preferred but not required. Previous experience of quality control from automotive industry is preferred. Familiar with Lean and Six Sigma concepts. Familiar with SPC, FMEA, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodology. Specific skills & Knowledge Specific knowledge of quality management systems, e.g. ISO 9001, IATF16949, TQM is preferred. Excellent English skills, both written and oral, are essential. The Senior Process Engineer plays a key role in defining, stabilising, and optimising manufacturing processes within a battery cell production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring robust, repeatable, and high-performing processes across the full production lifecycle, from industrialisation through ramp-up to full-scale manufacturing. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Senior Process Engineer is responsible for the methodology, process flow, and parameter definition (recipe) of their assigned area. They define and control how the process performs, ensuring it consistently meets product quality, capability, and cost targets. This role combines hands-on shop floor engineering, deep technical expertise, and structured problem-solving to drive process capability, reduce variation, and sustain high-performing operations. The Senior Process Engineer works cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Operations to deliver stable and scalable production processes. Key Responsibilities Overall areas of responsibilities and activities Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Own end-to-end process performance (Ppk), including defining targets, monitoring stability, and driving sustained improvements to ensure processes consistently meet quality and capability requirements. Define, implement, and maintain process recipes (setpoints, parameter windows, and sequencing), ensuring consistent, repeatable, and controlled production. Design, implement, and sustain the process control strategy, including SPC application, control limits, and structured response to process variation. Analyse process behaviour to identify variation drivers, performance gaps, and yield losses, and translate findings into robust and sustainable improvements. Own the development and maintenance of Bill of Process (BoP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and standardised process execution. Establish and maintain robust process windows to support industrialisation, production ramp-up, and sustained process performance. Lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), ensuring process risks are identified, prioritised, and effectively mitigated. Lead structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex process deviations, quality issues, and performance losses, ensuring resolution of underlying causes. Define and maintain process-specific reaction plans to ensure rapid and effective containment and recovery from process deviations. Act as a technical leader and escalation point for complex or high-impact process issues, driving resolution across cross-functional teams. Drive process improvements focused on variation reduction, capability improvement, and production stability, ensuring solutions are scalable across lines and future expansions. Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering to ensure alignment between process capability, equipment capability, and product specifications. Maintain strong presence on the shop floor, supporting trials, troubleshooting, and real-time process optimisation in production environments. Requirements Educational background and previous experience required for the role Qualifications and Experience Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proven track record of developing, stabilising, and optimising manufacturing processes in high-volume production environments using structured and data-driven methodologies. Demonstrated experience in owning process performance (Ppk) and delivering sustained improvements in process stability, capability, and yield. Extensive experience in industrialisation, process qualification, and production ramp-up, including establishing robust process windows and control strategies. Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally within battery, semiconductor, chemical, electrochemical, or similar industries. Strong experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability analysis, and variation reduction techniques. Demonstrated ownership and leadership of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies. Proven experience in defining and managing process recipes, parameter control strategies, and process standards. Experience working to industry standards and certification requirements such as ISO, IATF, and VDA. Specific skills & Knowledge Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex process data and translate insights into sustainable improvements. Deep technical curiosity and the ability to operate as a Subject Matter Expert across process domains, with strong understanding of process behaviour, variation, and control.
