Key Responsibilities
Commission and validate Building Management Systems (BMS) across mission-critical facilities.
Perform point-to-point testing, I/O verification, loop checks, and functional performance testing.
Review control philosophies, cause & effect matrices, and sequence of operations.
Execute integrated systems testing (IST) with mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve BMS and controls-related issues during commissioning.
Produce commissioning documentation, test scripts, reports, punch lists, and handover documentation.
Coordinate with controls vendors, MEP contractors, and commissioning teams throughout project delivery.
Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
Support client demonstrations, witness testing, and final system acceptance.
Required Experience
5+ years' experience commissioning Building Management Systems (BMS).
Previous experience on data centres, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, industrial, or other mission-critical projects.
Strong understanding of HVAC controls, chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and associated plant.
Experience commissioning systems using one or more major BMS platforms such as: Siemens Desigo, Schneider EcoStruxure, Honeywell, Trend, Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys
Ability to read electrical schematics, control drawings, and P&IDs.
Experience with FAT, SAT, Functional Testing, and Integrated Systems Testing.
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Bachelor's Degree (BSc/BEng) or higher in one of the following disciplines:
Building Services Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Automation & Control Engineering
Mechatronics Engineering
Energy Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience commissioning Building Management Systems (BMS) on large-scale commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or mission-critical/data centre projects.
Demonstrable experience with BMS platforms such as Siemens Desigo, Schneider EcoStruxure, Honeywell, Trend, Johnson Controls Metasys, or Tridium Niagara.
Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, control philosophies, sequence of operations, point-to-point testing, functional testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and commissioning documentation.
BMS manufacturer certifications and commissioning qualifications are highly desirable.
Fluency in English is essential. Swedish language skills are advantageous but not required.
Om tjänsten: Som senior HW-designer ansvarar du för utveckling av elektronik och PCB:er till avancerade Battery Management Systems för företagets batteriprodukter. Du arbetar med hela kedjan från kravnedbrytning och arkitektur till schemaritning, PCB-layout, verifiering och produktionsunderlag. I rollen samarbetar du tätt med systemingenjörer, mjukvaruingenjörer, cellexperter och leverantörer för att säkerställa robusta, certifieringsbara lösningar. Du blir en del av R&D:s HW-team vid Battery Competence Center på ett internationellt bolag. Arbetet utförs 80% på plats där tjänsteresor kan tillkomma beroende på arbetsort. Vi söker dig som: Har flera års erfarenhet av krets- och PCBA‑design samt är van vid att arbeta självständigt i komplexa utvecklingsprojekt. Du har tidigare konstruerat BMS-hårdvara med AFE:er och MCU:er, gärna med STM‑mikrokontrollers och Texas Instruments AFE-kretsar, och har minst två års praktisk erfarenhet av OrCAD för både schema- och PCB‑design. Du är trygg i komponentval, gränssnittsdefinition mot BMA, HW‑SW‑interface och gärna även säkerhetsanalyser som FMEDA/MTTF. Som person är du strukturerad, samarbetsinriktad och tar naturligt ansvar för att driva ditt område framåt. Goda kunskaper i engelska är ett krav; kunskaper i svenska är meriterande.
