Workers/Residential Care Workers
We are seeking applications from enthusiastic social care workers/residential care workers with a passion for supporting young
people who are unable to live with own families and who are referred to our service by Tusla. These positions are ideal for those
who enjoy working in a team and want to make a difference in the lives of children and young people who have experienced trauma in
their early years. You will be provided with extensive training in our model of care to assist you in your role and will also have
access to a multidisciplinary team that provides therapeutic support to the young people.
Working on a shift rota, you will engage in daily activities and routines of the service, providing dedicated direct support to
the people we care for as well as contributing to their development, health, and wellbeing.

Candidates must hold a qualification at Level 7 or above in a relevant discipline that meets the criteria to be registered as a

ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently seeking applications from those interested in joining our team within our Day Services. The ideal candidate will support individuals to live their best lives and achieving the day to day goals and promoting independence and integration within the community. This is an enjoyable and rewarding role which promotes the people we support to be involved in various activities (i.e., gardening, arts/crafts and many more activities) on-site at the day service and assist them with activities and day trips in the community. ABOUT THE ROLE As we continue to expand to provide additional services to meet the needs of those we care for, we currently have a number of opportunities within our Orchard Community Care division, in Co. Sligo including this key role of Person in Charge(Social Care Leader). Purpose of the role is to provide the highest possible standards of support to those who use Orchard Community Care service. To ensure the service is in line with appropriate Government and Health Service Executive (HSE) Policy. Within that context the Manager will be expected to work autonomously and with initiative. The ideal candidate would preferably have experience working with autism. The Manager will act as the Person in Charge for existing services ensuring compliance with the Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards. Essential Criteria: * A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care * A relevant degree (minimum level 7) in Social or Health Care. * Level 6 Management qualification * The ideal candidate would preferably have experience working with autism. * A proven track record of managing a residential service which meets quality, regulatory/legislative requirements. * Full current driving license with full eligibility to drive in Ireland, and access to a vehicle. * Eligible to live and work in Ireland without restriction Service Delivery * Take the lead on shift when on duty in the service. * Participate in the provision of direct care to individuals, following established care plans, protocols, and procedures. * Assist in assessing the needs of individuals under care and developing individualised care plans. * Ensure the implementation of appropriate care interventions and monitor the progress and outcomes of care. We would love to welcome you to our team to help provide residential and day services to children and adults with medium to profound disability, including those with life limiting conditions. Our multidisciplinary teams are supported by a range of other professionals including psychologists, behavioural therapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. Working on a rolling roster, shift basis, you will engage in daily activities and routines of the service, providing dedicated direct support to the people we care for as well as contributing to their development, health, and wellbeing.
