Your role
Operational Excellence is a newly formed department consisting of three sections, one of which is BI & Digital Tools. You will be part of the Operational Excellence FCC Leadership Team and will play a key role in shaping the new department together with your fellow managers.
As Manager, BI & Digital Tools, you will lead a high-performing team specializing in business intelligence, automation, and machine learning. The team consists of talented professionals who design and develop digital tools, methods, dashboards, reports, and predictive models. Its mission is to strengthen decision-making and transform the way we work by leveraging data, developing innovative digital solutions, and ensuring their successful implementation and continuous improvement.
Your primary focus will be the managers and colleagues within Operations Stockholm, but you will also work closely with departments within Surveillance business units Fighter Core Capabilities as well as Business Area Surveillance Operational Excellence department.
Manage the BI & Digital Tools team, ensuring high performance, engagement, and efficient ways of working.
Drive the transformation towards a more data-driven organization by translating data into meaningful KPIs, insights, and decision support across the business.
Develop, own, and execute the organization's data governance roadmap.
Translate the Operational Excellence roadmap and strategic goals into actionable roadmaps and priorities for BI & Digital Tools.
Partner and collaborate with the sister sections within Operational Excellence to ensure data and digital solutions are integral parts of business initiatives.
Coach and develop your team, building capabilities and enabling employees to take on increasingly complex challenges.
Empower your employees through value-based leadership.
Develop efficient ways of working, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement within your area.

Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent education and/or relevant professional experience.
Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution.

Pragmatic and action-oriented, with the ability to deliver business value through the right balance of structure, governance, and speed.
Minimum two years' formal or informal leadership experience within a relevant area across Business intelligence, automation, Machine learning or similar.
Strong communication skills and experience in leading transformation and change.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English.

Financial Controlling Lead We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Controller to join our team as Financial Controlling Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality financial reporting, compliance with Swedish legislation and IFRS, and driving continuous improvements across our financial processes. You will balance operational excellence with strategic insights, supporting business leaders in making informed decisions. As Financial Controlling Lead, you will: • Lead and coordinate Group reporting as required, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery. • Manage and improve and variance analysis in close collaboration with the other finance team members. • Act as subject-matter expert on IFRS, Swedish GAAP (K3), and other relevant accounting standards, as well as all audit-related matters. • Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with group accounting manuals, Swedish financial regulations, and tax legislation. • Run and quality-assure inter-company charge-out and allocation models, ensuring transparency, fiscal compliance and harmonization. • Ownership for annual reports. • Coordinate the audit process in collaboration with others. • Support productivity improvements, investment analysis, and KPI follow-up to drive financial results. • Contribute financial expertise in corporate tax and transfer pricing matters. • Collaborate on system development projects and implement improvements in ERP, BI, and financial reporting tools. • Act as business partner to key stakeholders, supporting strategy execution. You have: • A degree in Finance and Accounting. • Extensive, multi-year experience from senior accounting and/or financial controlling roles, ideally in an international environment. • Excellent expertise in IFRS, Swedish GAAP, and Swedish financial/tax legislation. • Solid experience in inter-company charge-out models, governance structures, and financial compliance. • Proven track record in leading audits, developing financial controls, and driving process improvements. • Experience from system implementation and following changes. • Experience from working in a changing environment and establishing routines, documenting processes to set structures that are currently not in place. • Experience from larger investments and manufacturing industries (CAPEX) is meriting. • Strong expertise in ERP preferably SAP S4/Hana Public Cloud, and other systems such as Business Central, Aaro, HFM/OneStream, MS BI, Excel. • Proven track record of leadership and project management experience, including change management. • Excellent communication and advisory skills, with fluency in English and Swedish. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Build and lead the Global Logistic function Define the scope, roles, processes and ways of working for the Global Logistic function in Vacuum Automation division. Establish clear interfaces with Production Sites, Purchasing, Quality, Industrialization and Commercial. Drive a culture of collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement across the supply chain. Global network and footprint optimization Define and continuously refine Piab’s global production and distribution footprint for Vacuum Automation division. (what to produce where, and how to flow to customers). Lead cross‑functional analyses and decisions on product allocation, sourcing and dual sourcing between sites. Identify and execute footprint and flow changes that improve service, cost, lead time and robustness. Global planning framework (demand & supply) Own the global demand and supply planning framework, principles and governance for Vacuum Automation division. Consolidate and challenge demand signals from Sales/Product Management together with Finance. Align site‑level production plans with global demand and capacity constraints (sites retain detailed daily/weekly production planning). Escalate and facilitate decisions when demand and capacity are not in balance. Inventory and flow strategy Define the global inventory and flow strategy (what to stock, where, and at which levels), including decoupling points and service level targets. Set and maintain policies for safety stocks and replenishment parameters at plants and distribution points. Monitor inventory health (turns, age, excess/obsolete) and drive corrective and preventive actions. Transport, logistics and packaging optimization Own the global strategy for transport and distribution together with relevant stakeholders (Purchasing, Logistics, Sites). Analyze and optimize transport modes, routes, consolidation, Incoterms and cost‑to‑serve. Develop and standardize packaging and handling concepts that improve cube utilization, ergonomics, product protection and logistics efficiency. Drive initiatives to reduce transport cost and environmental impact, while maintaining or improving service. S&OP / IBP governance Design and run Piab’s global S&OP/IBP process for Operations in Vacuum Automation division: calendar, meetings, agenda and deliverables. Prepare clear scenarios and trade‑offs (service vs cost vs capacity) for the Operations leadership team. Ensure alignment between demand, supply, inventory and financial targets. Performance management & analytics Define and maintain a consistent KPI framework for Logistic (e.g. OTD, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, network and transport cost). Together with Business Analytics, build and use dashboards and reports to steer performance and identify improvement opportunities. Lead root‑cause analyses and drive cross‑functional improvement actions when targets are not met. PREFFERED COMPETENCIES Strong end‑to‑end understanding of the value chain: from supplier and production to customer delivery. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to translate data into clear decisions and actions. Structured and driven, able to design and implement new processes and standards. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to align and influence across functions and sites. Comfortable operating both strategically (designing the model) and operationally (diving into details to solve issues). Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION 7+ years’ experience from Logistic / Operations in an international industrial/manufacturing company. Proven experience in global or regional supply chain management, network/footprint optimization, or end‑to‑end planning. Hands‑on experience working with production sites and local planning teams. Experience setting up or significantly improving S&OP/IBP processes. Strong analytical background; comfortable working with data, KPIs and tools (ERP, planning systems, BI tools).
