Do you thrive in collaborative teams and want your work to shape what players experience every day?
As a Backend Developer at Snowprint, you’ll build the backend systems, infrastructure, and tools that power our games. You’ll work
closely with your fellow developers, designers, and other disciplines to create stable, scalable solutions, always with the player
experience in mind.
At Snowprint Studios, we believe that kindness, collaboration, curiosity, and self-leadership are what make great games possible.
We work in small, cross-disciplinary teams where people are trusted to take ownership, share ideas openly, and continuously
improve how we build games together.
You'll bring new game features to life while also supporting the systems, tooling, and infrastructure behind them. The role
combines feature development with live operations, giving you the opportunity to work on both player-facing functionality and the
technical foundations that keep the game running.
You'll take ownership of the technical areas you work on, from planning and implementation to testing and live operations. A
normal week might include feature development, playtests, troubleshooting production issues, discussing technical approaches with
the team, and improving systems to support future needs as the game evolves.
You’ll collaborate closely with your colleagues to shape technical solutions that work well for both the game and the people
building it.
You’re an experienced backend developer who is fluent in Kotlin and/or Java. You’ve worked with live backend services before
(ideally gaming), and you’re comfortable operating cloud infrastructure (We use AWS).
You know how to troubleshoot complex issues in production environments and enjoy the mix of bug-fixing, fine-tuning, and
forward-planning that comes with live operations.
You communicate clearly, ask questions, and enjoy working through problems with your colleagues. You’re self-directed but
collaborative, happy to own your part of a feature while staying connected to the bigger picture. You care about the player
experience, and you bring that mindset into technical discussions.
Our Stockholm studio is located in Södermalm, and we work in a hybrid setup. We work from the office on Tuesdays and Fridays to
support collaboration and social interaction, while other days offer flexibility depending on where you work best. We provide the
setup and tools you need to work comfortably both at home and in the studio.
Snowprint Studios believes great games are created by teams of talented, kind and creative individuals in a friendly, supportive
and inspiring environment - while maintaining a sustainable life-work balance. For more information on Snowprint Studios go to

At Snowprint Studios, we embrace diversity both in the worlds we create and in our workplace. Join us in shaping the future of
gaming!

With access to vast amounts of data, you’ll have limitless opportunities to explore and create new features that enhance the experience for Sweden’s real estate agents, home buyers, and sellers. You’ll join a collaborative, cross-functional team where your unique perspective is truly valued. What you’ll do 💥 At Hemnet, we help millions of people navigate one of the biggest milestones of their lives: finding and shaping their home journey. Our team’s mission is to make that experience feel personal, inspiring, and seamless. We are looking for a collaborative backend engineer to help us build the real-time data pipelines and smart CRM integrations that deliver the right message to the right user at exactly the right time. You'll: * Build & Scale with Node.js: Design and evolve resilient backend services and APIs using Node.js, Nest.js, and GraphQL, keeping our platform fast and reliable. * Connect Our Systems: Lead the technical direction of our CRM and marketing automation integrations. You’ll ensure our data pipelines are secure, scalable, and built to last. * Bring Data to Life: Partner closely with our CRM and Marketing teams to turn user behavioral signals and segmentations into timely, meaningful automated messages. * Collaborate Across Disciplines: Act as a supportive technical partner for non-technical stakeholders, translating complex backend concepts into clear, shared ideas. * Grow Together: Lift the team around you through empathetic mentorship, open knowledge sharing, and contributing to a welcoming, continuous-learning engineering culture. Who we think you are 🤩 We know that excellent engineers come from all kinds of backgrounds. You don’t need to match a rigid checklist, but we think you’ll thrive in this role if: * You have a solid foundation in backend development, with deep experience in Node.js and framework ecoystems like Nest.js. * You enjoy the unique challenges of third-party integrations, API design, and event-driven data flows. * You care just as much about the people you work with as the code you write, you value clear communication, psychological safety and diverse perspectives. * Bonus points (but not required): You’ve worked with Ruby, or you’re curious about experimenting with modern AI tooling like Claude. I am your new manager 👋 Hi! My name is Staffan, and I’ll be your new manager. I’ve been at Hemnet since 2019 and since last year working as Engineering Manager for a domain called Consumers. Our teams are currently working on many new and important areas for Hemnet – including personalization and smarter search features (including several initiatives utilizing AI to deliver next level user experience). My leadership style is listening, transparent, accessible, and supportive, while also challenging you to take your next step. Hopefully, we’ll learn a lot from each other and have plenty of fun as we break new ground at Hemnet. As a team, we get things done; we know when and where value can be added, and we’re clear on our priorities. Why did I decide to join Hemnet? I was strongly drawn to the culture and atmosphere – a wonderful combination of kindness, inclusiveness, and helpfulness, paired with high ambitions and a strong drive forward.
