Our development organization consists of approximately 160 highly engaged colleagues who build software used daily in cancer clinics around the globe. As we continue to grow, we are looking for additional group managers who want to help shape our technology, our teams, and our future.
About the role
This role offers the best of both worlds, combining hands-on technical work with people leadership. You will have personnel responsibility for a team of 8–12 developers while remaining an active contributor to the development of RayStation, our Treatment Planning System.
As a Group Manager, you focus on enabling your team to succeed. You support and develop your employees through regular one-on-one conversations, competence development, and recruitment. You will not be alone in your leadership role, but part of a collaborative management context with support from both peers and the wider organization.
In your role as a developer, you work close to the domain on technically demanding solutions and contribute to building robust, scalable systems. Depending on your background, you will work across backend, frontend, or full-stack development, contributing to architecture and system design. Our solutions are built using modern architectural principles such as Domain-Driven Design, event-driven systems, and asynchronous communication, in an environment where security, data integrity, and reliable system communication are critical. Your technical expertise will have a direct and meaningful impact on patient care.
Your profile
You have a strong technical foundation in .NET development and a clear interest in taking responsibility for both people and technical delivery. You are motivated by building high-performing teams, creating structure, and contributing to a safe and sustainable working environment. With a humble and communicative leadership style, you build trust and take ownership of people-related topics such as performance conversations, competence development, and recruitment, with support from the organization. You are self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to combine deep technical understanding with a present and engaged leadership approach.
A Master’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent academic background
At least 7 years of experience developing complex products using .NET
A genuine interest in people leadership and personnel responsibility
Experience from leadership roles or informal leadership in development teams
A strong drive to contribute to and further develop the engineering organization
Fluency in English, written and spoken.
Previous experience in a role with formal people management responsibility together with fluency in Swedish is not required but considered as highly meritorious.

About the role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (SSE) for backend works in our product engineering team with systems / services development for the Qbtech platform. Primary implementation languages are Java & Kotlin. The main focus of the work is coding (development) but an SSE works with the entire software delivery lifecycle. The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden and will report to Engineering Manager. There is no possibility of a complete remote role. This is Hybrid with at least 3 days a week from office. Essential Duties and responsibilities Qbtech’s development of products and services are controlled by Qbtech Quality Management Systems, international standards and certificates as well as specific laws. In accordance with those, essential duties and responsibilities are: Develop and document new product features & stories. Code reviews for peers. Maintain and improve legacy code. Manage DevOps and cloud infrastructure provisioning. Manage software deployment. Troubleshooting/investigation of incidents and bug fixing. We are looking for someone who has Extensive development skills using Java and Kotlin. Strong problem-solving mentality. Knowledge of the Ktor framework. Knowledge of at least one well known test framework such as Junit. Good knowledge of network infrastructure related to web application (examples: load balancer, firewall, security groups, CDN etc.). Experience of working with service provisioning for at least one of the following cloud services platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure). Experience of an infrastructure as code (Terraform). Experience with containerization (Docker). Experience from working with Agile development methodologies. Excellent written and verbal skills. At least 6-8 years documented experience. About the Team We are the team responsible for ensuring that parcels move through our terminal network in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible. Our systems provide sorting instructions that guide parcels between terminals and to their final destinations, whether that’s a customer, parcel locker, or delivery partner. We also deliver real-time parcel data and location insights, enabling smooth and transparent operations across our entire sorting network. What you'll do Take ownership of designing, implementing, and delivering backend features and projects within your domain. As our AI Enablement Engineer, you will embed with engineering and product teams to identify where AI can remove repetitive, manual work, then build and ship the solutions that make it happen. You will work closely with our AI Efficiency Architects and AI Evangelist to turn high-level AI strategy into concrete, measurable wins on the ground. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, moves fast, and gets real satisfaction from seeing their work adopted and relied upon by teams across the company. Your Mission Accelerate how the entire development organization works by finding high-impact use cases for AI, building the solutions that automate them, and spreading those wins so they scale across teams. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: Use Case Discovery: work directly with engineering and product teams to map their workflows, spot repetitive or slow processes, and identify the highest-impact opportunities for AI-driven automation across the development organization. Rapid Prototyping & Delivery: act as a builder - lead the technical design and implementation of working solutions such as prompt workflows, lightweight agents, scripts, and integrations that prove value fast, then partnering with the AI Efficiency Architects to harden anything that needs to run in production. Reusable Enablement Assets: create templates, playbooks, and repeatable patterns so a proven AI win can spread from one team to many without bespoke work each time. OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING: ESSENTIAL SKILLS Staff-Level Engineering Foundations: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience (Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript) with a proven track record of delivering complex, distributed systems in a production environment. Production-Ready AI Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience moving AI from a cool prototype to a real-world tool. You don’t just write basic prompts - you know how to build reliable agents and RAG workflows, and you understand the practical side of LLMs, like managing costs, speed, and context limits to make tools actually work for production.
