Vi söker en senior ledare inom frontendutveckling som vill ta ett helhetsansvar för arkitektur, teknikval och utvecklingsstrategi inom ett datadrivet digitalt ekosystem. Rollen innebär att driva utvecklingen av moderna webbapplikationer med fokus på prestanda, skalbarhet och långsiktig hållbarhet.
Du kommer att arbeta nära andra tekniska funktioner för att säkerställa effektiva integrationer mellan frontend och backend, samt bidra till att etablera robusta standarder för hur system kommunicerar och hanterar data. Uppdraget inkluderar även ansvar för att bygga upp och utveckla ett högpresterande team samt skapa en kultur med tydligt fokus på kvalitet och struktur.
Definiera och implementera frontendarkitektur med fokus på modularitet och prestanda
Säkerställa effektiva API-strukturer i samarbete med backend- och plattformsteam
Delta i design av systemlösningar och påverka tekniska beslut kring datamodellering
Ansvara för deploymentflöden och optimering av frontendmiljö i molninfrastruktur
Leda och coacha utvecklingsteam samt etablera best practices
Driva standardisering kring typning, testning och utvecklingsprocesser
Skall-krav
Minst 10 års erfarenhet inom frontendutveckling, varav flera år i ledande roll
Djup kompetens inom moderna JavaScript-ramverk, särskilt Vue 3 och TypeScript
Erfarenhet av att designa och arbeta med API-kontrakt i komplexa system
God kunskap om molnbaserad drift och deployment (t.ex. AWS)
Erfarenhet av att arbeta i tvärfunktionella team nära backend och plattform
Stark förståelse för testning, byggverktyg och moderna utvecklingsflöden
Erfarenhet från datatunga eller realtidsbaserade system
Bakgrund inom digitala plattformar med höga krav på skalbarhet

Every day, millions of people use SCRL to create and share content across social platforms. Behind the product is a small, profitable, and fully self-funded team based in Stockholm. Now we’re entering a new phase. As SCRL expands beyond native apps, we’re building the backend infrastructure required to support accounts, subscriptions, synchronization, APIs, and cross-platform experiences at scale. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help shape that foundation. You’ll work on the systems powering user identity, content delivery, subscription management, and data synchronization across iOS, Android, and web, while helping define the architecture and engineering standards behind the platform long term. What you will do In this role you will own the backend that powers SCRL across iOS, Android, and our upcoming web platform. You will work both on the bigger architectural decisions with our CTO and Head of Data, and on the new features together with the frontend team during our sprints. Day to day, that means: Building and maintaining the APIs and services that deliver content to millions of users Designing systems that scale as we grow, without scaling our costs at the same rate Owning our PostgreSQL database and how we store and serve content Building scalable and cost-efficient systems for storing and delivering images and creative assets using AWS and S3 Making sure premium status stays in sync across iOS, Android, and web Implementing proper security and access control, and making sure we stay GDPR compliant as we start storing user generated content in the cloud What we are looking for Several years of experience building and operating backend systems in production Strong foundations in TypeScript and PostgreSQL Experience working with cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP Experience building systems that have scaled in terms of users, traffic, or complexity Comfortable being a senior voice in discussions around architecture, tradeoffs, and long-term platform decisions What we offer We are a small, international team based by Slussen in central Stockholm. Our systems run fully automated and dispatch hundreds of MWs of flexible capacity to where the grid or market needs it most. As a Software Engineer, you will join a quant-heavy team of data scientists, optimization engineers and energy market experts. Your focus is the engineering side of these services: architecture, tooling, reliability, system interfaces, observability. This is a hands-on role - you will write code every day and own the standards and foundation the rest of the team builds on. What You'll Do Own the structure and quality of our optimization codebase - architecture, refactoring, testing - and set the engineering bar the team works to Ensure the optimization stack holds up as we scale our portfolio to GW-scale and new geographies Standardize what is currently bespoke, and decide what has to be rebuilt versus hardened Handle reliability and edge cases in the trading path, define graceful failure modes - for example, what should happen when a bid submission fails halfway through? Define interfaces towards other teams and take part in those discussions on behalf of the team Own our optimization environments, infosec hygiene & testing infra across our services Maintain and improve CI, deployments, observability and alerting Who You Are ~ 3–7 years of experience building and running software in production Fluent in Python and related tooling (uv, prek, ruff, ty, FastAPI, Pydantic, DuckDB) Experience managing quantitative models in production (simulation, optimization, heavy batch compute, ML workloads) Experience with AWS (Modal is a plus) Hands-on across the stack, from architecture down to repo settings, pipelines and environments, and the occasional internal frontend Solid instincts for system design and API boundaries, comfortable having these conversations with adjacent teams Pragmatic - you can tell a bad idea from a good one on your own, and you know when good enough is good enough Motivated to work in energy markets & in a trading environment 📍 Location Our beautiful office is located in the heart of Södermalm, just a short walk from Slussen subway station. Expert proficiency in Figma, Firefly and Adobe with experience building and maintaining scalable design systems. Proven track record of working with UI/UX for digital products, preferably within the iGaming or gaming sector Strong understanding of design fundamentals: typography, layout, and corporate identity. Experience in data-driven design, including the use of A/B testing to improve marketing output. Professional fluency in English, with the ability to translate complex creative concepts for various departments. Bonus points if you have Experience with motion graphics or video production, game animation with Spine or Rive. Power user status in Generative AI tools (LLMs and Image generation) for creative workflows. Experience in frontend development or a deep understanding of technical implementation of design.
