Voi is making it easier to get around cities without a car. We build shared e-scooters, e-bikes and the software that powers them
— from the rider app to the tools our field teams and warehouses use every day.
As a Product Designer, you will join a cross-functional team and own the experience of our products from discovery through to
delivery. You will lead projects end-to-end, bringing a clear point of view, collaborating closely with your Product Manager and
engineering team, and helping shape products that work for riders and cities alike.
You will take an insight-led approach, connect design decisions to business outcomes and proactively turn opportunities into
meaningful improvements.
You are a thoughtful and proactive designer who enjoys working in fast-moving, cross-functional teams. You balance curiosity with
clear decision-making, communicate your reasoning confidently and care about creating useful experiences grounded in real user
needs.
It would be great if you also have experience working with hardware or firmware, building and maintaining design systems, or
conducting exploratory research beyond usability testing and validation.
Don’t meet every requirement? If you are excited about this role and our mission, and have relevant, transferable skills, we
encourage you to apply – even if you don’t check every box.
Working at Voi is more than just a job; our People Promise includes a personal voyage where you will grow as a professional and be
a part of a team and culture that builds something meaningful for society. In addition to this you’ll have the opportunity to:

YOUR MISSION AT VOI As an Engineering Manager at Voi, you will lead and grow a cross-functional product team while staying close to the code. This role is ideal for a strong technical lead ready to take a first step into people management – someone who wants to shape team culture, support engineers’ growth, and drive delivery without leaving their technical roots behind. The Monetisation team owns Voi’s core payment flows, subscriptions, upsell and in-app advertising. The technical scope spans core backend systems, payment integrations, native mobile client views and more. This is an excellent opportunity to grow into leadership while having a tangible impact on the micromobility industry. * Be a present, hands-on leader for a team of 4–5 engineers: run 1:1s, support growth and create a safe, collaborative environment where people do their best work. * Partner closely with the Product Manager and Designer to align on priorities, shape the roadmap and drive high-quality delivery. * Lead by doing: write code, review PRs and engage deeply in technical decisions across backend, web and mobile. * Champion engineering excellence by guiding architectural decisions, fostering good development practices and promoting continuous improvement – enabling sustainably rapid delivery in a complex micromobility business. * Coach and develop engineers through feedback, mentorship and clear expectations – with support from us if this is your first formal people management role. * Lead the team in adopting agentic engineering practices: actively use and encourage AI-assisted development and help engineers build the habits and judgement to get the most out of these tools. * Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture aligned with Voi’s values, and be a driver for inclusion and psychological safety within your team. WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK You are a hands-on, collaborative engineer with a passion for both technology and people. You enjoy working across domains, take ownership of delivery and are curious about how AI can elevate the way teams build software. * 4+ years of hands-on experience as an engineer in modern tech stacks, building reliable software in a fast-paced environment. * A generalist mindset with experience in backend, web and/or mobile development. * 2+ years of experience in a tech lead, senior or informal leadership capacity – you have guided others technically, even if you have not held a management title. * No prior people management experience required – this is a growth area we will support you in. * Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools (for example modern code assistants) and a genuine interest in agentic engineering workflows. You lean into these tools and help your team build the skillset to use them effectively. * Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate both technical and cross-functional conversations with ease. * Fluency in English, written and spoken. Don’t meet every requirement? If you are excited about this role and our mission, and have relevant, transferable skills, we encourage you to apply – even if you don’t check every box. WHY VOI? Working at Voi is more than just a job; our People Promise includes a personal voyage where you will grow as a professional and be a part of a team and culture that builds something meaningful for society. In addition to this you’ll have the opportunity to: * Join Europe’s #1 micromobility operator and one of the fastest growing scale-ups. * Get “skin in the game” through our employee options programme. * Enjoy unlimited free Voi rides and a dog-friendly office. * Work together with inspiring, motivated and fun colleagues towards a common goal. * Join the micromobility revolution and be a part of creating sustainable cities made for living, free from noise and pollution.
YOUR MISSION AT VOI As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Voi, you will play a key role in designing and building machine learning models for our edge ML product. You will work across both software engineering and machine learning challenges, contribute to our product rollout, and help enhance the safety and real-world performance of our vehicles. You will join a high-impact product team, see your work deployed on Voi vehicles worldwide, and learn how to build ML products end-to-end. Please note this role is for 50% (Part-Time). In this role, you will: * Help build a cutting-edge machine learning product and see your models deployed on Voi vehicles across multiple markets. * Build an ML solution end-to-end, from dataset creation and PoC model development to edge ML optimisation, deployment and impact measurement. * Support production-grade models with a focus on reliability, scalability, and high performance. * Collaborate with a world-class, cross-functional product team, aligning on priorities and outcomes while learning from and supporting your teammates. WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK You are a curious, hands-on and analytical problem-solver with a strong interest in applied machine learning. You enjoy working with real-world data, building models that ship to production, and collaborating with others to create solutions that make a tangible impact. We believe you have: * Current enrolment in an MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics or a related field, with around one year or less remaining in your studies. * Strong Python programming skills and experience with Git; experience deploying machine learning models or backend code in production is a plus. * Solid understanding of common machine learning techniques such as convolutional neural networks, transfer learning and object detection, and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn. * Fluency in written and spoken English, and a proactive communication style in a cross-functional team environment. Don’t meet every requirement? If you are excited about this role and our mission, and have relevant, transferable skills, we encourage you to apply – even if you don’t check every box. WHY VOI?
