We’re excited to welcome our first Staff Software Engineer to the newly forming Onsite Messaging team at Voyado.
Onsite Messaging (OSM) is one of Voyado’s most important customer engagement channels. Instead of communicating through email or
SMS, OSM enables retailers to engage customers directly on their websites with personalized experiences based on real-time
behavior. Every interaction can be measured, understood and optimized, making OSM a key part of creating seamless customer
journeys.
We’re now bringing OSM onto Voyado’s Engage platform, and this role will play a central part in making that happen. You’ll join at
the beginning of that journey, helping shape both the technical direction and the engineering practices while building a brand-new
team in Stockholm together with colleagues in India.
This is a Staff Engineer role for someone who enjoys leading through technology.
You'll act as the technical driver for Onsite Messaging. The frontend is moving into Voyado's Engage platform, while the backend
continues to run and evolve on AWS — so you'll own both sides of that seam and make sure it holds together well. The transition is
one chapter, not the job description. Although the role comes with significant technical ownership, it remains deeply hands-on.
You’ll write code, review code, challenge architectural decisions and help the team make sound engineering choices every day.
Initially, much of the focus will be understanding the existing solution, reviewing code and working closely with our engineering
team in India as knowledge and ownership gradually move to Stockholm. As the transition progresses, your focus will shift towards
driving the technical roadmap, enabling new product development and shaping the future Onsite platform.
Onsite Messaging also sits on a shared JavaScript foundation that several Voyado products load on retailer sites. Getting that
foundation into good shape — as a platform other teams can build on — is part of this role.
We're looking for someone operating at around 8-10 years of engineering experience, who has been the person other engineers turn
to on hard system design questions.
You don’t need experience from our exact technology stack, but we believe you’ve worked with several of the following:
you're happy to work in AWS
You’ll join a company with strong momentum, modern technology, and a collaborative culture where ideas and initiatives are
encouraged.
At Voyado, we care about creating an environment where people can grow, collaborate, and enjoy the journey together. We move
quickly, challenge ideas, and work closely across teams to deliver meaningful impact.

channel — online and in-store. The result is more traffic, higher conversions, stronger customer relationships, and measurable
business impact.
We’re growing across Europe and are looking for people who want to help shape the future of retail technology.
Fantastic! 🎉
Applying is easy — submit your LinkedIn profile or upload your resume. We’d love to hear what excites you about this role and what
challenges you’re eager to take on. Be yourself, and let your passion shine through.
As part of our recruitment process, we conduct a background check on the final candidate.
We believe you’ll position yourself best for success in the interview process by being yourself, with support from AI where it
makes sense. Later in the process, you may even be expected to use AI. At the end of the day, what matters is meeting you — the
person behind the application.
There is no such thing as a perfect candidate; we’re all human, so please bring your authentic self. Don’t let AI over-polish your
CV or answers to the point where we can’t hear your real voice, because that’s what we care about most.
As we are heading out for the vacation period, feedback on your application might take a little longer than usual. Don't hesitate
to send in your application, though; we'll do our best in getting back to you as soon as possible! 🌴
We’re excited to welcome a Senior Software Engineer to our newly forming Onsite Messaging team at Voyado. Onsite Messaging (OSM) is one of Voyado’s most important customer engagement channels. Instead of communicating through email or SMS, OSM enables retailers to engage customers directly on their websites with personalized experiences based on real-time behavior. Every interaction can be measured, understood and optimized, making OSM a key part of creating seamless customer journeys. We’re now bringing OSM onto Voyado’s Engage platform, and we’re looking for an experienced frontend-focused engineer who wants to help build the future of the product. You’ll join a small team with a high level of ownership, working closely with our Staff Software Engineer and colleagues in India to shape both the product and the engineering practices. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a role for someone who loves building great frontend experiences while enjoying enough backend work to understand the full picture. You’ll take ownership of the frontend for Onsite Messaging, building both the OSM editing experience inside Engage and the lightweight JavaScript that powers personalized experiences on customers' websites. These solutions need to be fast, scalable, secure and reliable, serving millions of visitors across hundreds of retailer websites. Although your primary focus is frontend development, you’ll also contribute to our backend APIs in .NET when features require it. You’ll work closely with the team to evolve the product, review code across our distributed team and help drive the transition of the project and migrating things onto Engage. You’ll spend your first months learning the existing solution, collaborating with our engineering team in India and gradually taking ownership of larger parts of the frontend. Over time, you’ll become one of the main technical owners of the OSM frontend and continue building new capabilities as the product evolves. WHO YOU ARE We’re looking for an experienced software engineer who enjoys building performant frontend applications while understanding how they interact with scalable backend systems. You don’t need experience from our exact technology stack, but we believe you’ve worked with several of the following: * Modern frontend development using JavaScript and TypeScript * Frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular or similar (experience with Aurelia is a bonus) * Fullstack development with experience working in backend services when needed, ideally in C#/.NET or similar languages * Public-facing, high-traffic web applications where performance, security and scalability matter * Cloud platforms — we run some of our services on Azure, and some on AWS, including Lambda for our backend services * Modern frontend tooling, build pipelines and component-based architectures We also think you: * care about clean, maintainable and high-quality code * enjoy giving thoughtful and constructive code reviews * are curious about performance optimization and frontend architecture * communicate well across teams and cultures * thrive in collaborative environments with shared ownership * use AI coding tools as a natural part of software development and know how to review AI-assisted code with the same care as any other contribution HIGH IMPACT. GREAT PEOPLE. REAL GROWTH. You’ll join a company with strong momentum, modern technology, and a collaborative culture where ideas and initiatives are encouraged. At Voyado, we care about creating an environment where people can grow, collaborate, and enjoy the journey together.
