About the role
Working Monday to Friday, 06:30–15:30, you'll be responsible for collecting and delivering a wide variety of goods across the
local area. From vehicle parts and commercial supplies to furniture home deliveries, you'll play an important role in ensuring our
customers receive their goods safely, professionally, and on time.
About you
You'll hold a valid driving licence and be confident driving a van in a safe and professional manner. Previous delivery driving
experience is beneficial but not essential.
You'll thrive in this role if you're reliable, organised, and enjoy working independently. Excellent customer service and
communication skills are essential, as you'll be representing DFDS at customer premises throughout the day. A positive attitude,
good timekeeping, and a willingness to help wherever needed will help you succeed in this varied and rewarding role.

Van Driver / Minibus Driver for School Age Childcare for Concord YMCA The Granite YMCA is seeking a Van Driver / Minibus Driver to join our School Age Childcare team! This flexible role can be tailored to fit your interests and availability. Candidates may choose to work as a transportation driver only or combine driving responsibilities with a Group Leader role within our before and after school programs. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children, have a safe driving record, and want to make a meaningful impact in their community. The position is especially well-suited for retirees seeking flexible, part-time hours or individuals looking for a role that combines transportation and youth programming responsibilities. Positions available at YMCA branches and local elementary schools. Location: Concord, Boscawen and Webster Routes Rate of Pay: $15.00-$18.00 Schedule * Morning Shift: 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM * Afternoon Shift: 1:45 PM – 4:30 PM * Additional program hours may be available for candidates interested in combining transportation duties with Group Leader responsibilities. Responsibilities Responsibilities * Safely transport children to and from YMCA programs, schools, field trips, and special events using YMCA vans or mini buses while ensuring a positive, welcoming experience for all participants. * Maintain active supervision of children at all times, including during transportation, transitions, and program activities. * Provide a physically and emotionally safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports youth development and well-being. * Lead and participate in developmentally appropriate activities that align with YMCA standards and New Hampshire state licensing requirements. * Build positive relationships with participants, families, school personnel, and YMCA staff. * Conduct attendance checks, headcounts, and ensure all children are safely accounted for during transportation and throughout program operations. * Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. * Support behavior management by setting clear expectations and promoting positive interactions among participants. * Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and behavioral concerns in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. * Maintain accurate transportation records, attendance documentation, and other required program paperwork. * Collaborate with Site Directors and fellow staff members to ensure high-quality programming and safe daily operations. * Assist with extended-day programming, school vacation camps, snow days, field trips, and family engagement events as needed. * Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to creating a positive team culture.
