BACKGROUND: eu-LISA is the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA) manages large-scale IT systems to support the implementation of asylum, border management and migration policies in the European Union (EU). The Agency is also a front-runner for the digitalisation efforts of the EU's Justice and Home Affairs domain, building a new information architecture and contributing to the development of a new security ecosystem. TASK DESCRIPTION: * Performing and supporting the development, implementation and dissemination of eu-LISA Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Security Framework best practices, based on internal standards, policies, procedures and guidelines; * Supporting the development and the implementation processes of Agency Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery Management and Information Security Management systems; * Supporting the development of the business continuity and security awareness programme. * Supporting the execution of Business Impact Analyses; * Performing specific activities regarding the implementation processes of security or business continuity related projects; * Supporting the preparation, execution and assessment of business continuity and disaster recovery exercises; * Monitor and process messages sent to the functional email boxes * Contributing to the development of eu-LISA's Business Continuity Management System, its performance monitoring and testing its effectiveness; * Supporting the implementation of specific areas of the Business Continuity Management System and the Disaster Recovery Process within eu-LISA and the IT Systems operated by the Agency; * Verifying the quality of business continuity and security services provided by eu-LISA’s contractors, to ensure that they are in line with the contracts' provisions, standards, policies, procedures and guidelines; * Providing support in the periodic review of the business continuity security policies of the IT-systems operated by the Agency * Support the coordination and administration of the emergency response capability * Provide support during security incident analysis or risk assessments * Be part of the Emergency Response Capability and act as first line responder in case of security incident. * Preparing documents such as reports, notes, letters, presentations, etc. * Support the flow of work in liaison with staff members from Security unit and/or other eu-LISA department, units. * Perform any other business continuity and safety related tasks as required by the eu-LISA Security Unit EDUCATION: * A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or * A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education and after obtaining the diploma, 3 years of proven professional experience MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: * Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in the required field of activity. ADDITIONAL NEEDED QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * Advanced knowledge or experience of/in: * Proof read communication, documents, draft emails, etc. as needed in English. * Knowledge of Estonian or French language is an asset. * Maintain high level of accuracy, loyalty, confidentiality and professionalism, including the following the line management instructions * Ability to create professional documents and emails * Run reports & handle special business continuity- and safety- related projects, actions or activities as assigned * Developing and implementing good practice in business continuity and disaster recovery management in accordance with ISO 22301. * Running business continuity risk assessments and business impact assessments * Developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans * Designing and executing business continuity exercises * Knowledge and capability of performing first response in case of an emergency * Ability to work in team * Preferably having previously worked in an international environment We never know what new opportunities might be just over the horizon. TASK DESCRIPTION: * Provide subject matter expertise on biometric matching operations, workflows and staffing issues for a proposed program in support of international security * Collaborate on project development as a biometric/technical AFIS operations subject matter expert. Evaluation and reporting of biometric workflows, efficiencies, and quality control issues enabling the documentation of improved workflows and methodologies * Participate in the development of a written technical proposal and supporting documents * Support the operations helping in investigating false rejection and false acceptance cases and follow-up of the issues with the vendors EDUCATION: * Minimum 3 years of relevant education (bachelor or equivalent) after the secondary school MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: * 4 years of professional experience in IT, including 2 years using 3M-Cogent, Morpho/IDEMIA or equivalent AFIS technology (for large-scale IT systems) * 1 or more of the above years’ experience in biometric workflow and/or technical operations with AFIS/biometric systems supporting border control ADDITIONAL NEEDED QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * Experience in image processing of flat, rolled tenprint and latent fingerprints using Automatic Fingerprint Identification Systems * Familiarity and understanding of fingerprint and facial matching algorithms and database management concepts highly desired We never know what new opportunities might be just over the horizon. TASK DESCRIPTION: * The Project Support Officer will be responsible for a number of administrative tasks such as: * arranging meetings and producing meeting minutes * Set up and maintain project files * Collect actuals data and forecasts * Update plans * Administer or assist the quality review process * Administer or assist Project Board meetings * Assist with the compilation of reports * Contribute expertise in specialist tools and techniques * Maintain the following records: Quality Register, Configuration Item Records, any other registers/logs delegated by the Project Manager * Administer the configuration management procedure EDUCATION: * Minimum 3 years of relevant education (bachelor degree or equivalent) after the secondary school MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: * Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience, of which Minimum 1 year experience in IT project support ADDITIONAL NEEDED QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * Experience of working within a project management office utilising Prince 2 or an equivalent project management methodology is needed. * Prince 2 foundation qualifications or an equivalent industry standard project management methodology. * Good knowledge of project management standards and techniques * Knowledge/Usage of project management tools. * Good reporting methods. * Strong understanding of project management and support issues including managing risks, issues, quality, and actions logs. * Experience of using MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and the ability to utilise desktop applications. * Experience of taking minutes and actions in meetings, at all levels. * Experience of supporting multiple projects and project managers. * Experience of maintaining a configuration management system acting as configuration librarian. * Experience of creating templates for common project documentation. * Experience in the full end-to-end IT project life cycle.
