We are looking for a software engineer excited about delivering cutting-edge automotive validation products with a tight customer
feedback loop. This role will work across all parts of validation (systems traceability, data ingestion and KPI visualization,
coverage analysis, ML-based failure finding). We are looking for someone who can be hands-on in supporting both our external as

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component

ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an Embedded Firmware Validation Engineer to design robust HIL test cases for the entire AUTOSAR Classic RTOS and AUTOSAR Adaptive POSIX stack. You will validate the software at its lowest levels — OS scheduling and memory protection, the communication stack (CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet), MCAL and complex device drivers, and diagnostics — against system and safety requirements. You will build test benches, author automated test suites, inject faults, and drive defects to root cause with development teams. We are hiring at mid or senior level — scope and ownership will scale with your experience. At Applied Intuition, you will: * Design and execute validation strategies for AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive software stacks. * Validate end-to-end automotive communication protocols including CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, SOME/IP, DoIP, PDU Routing, Network Management, and Transport Protocols. * Verify Safe OS, diagnostics, platform security, and functional safety features. * Perform functional, robustness, boundary, timing, negative, and fault-injection testing. * Execute testing on HIL benches, SIL environments, restbus simulations, and target hardware. * Develop and maintain automated Python (pytest) test frameworks for regression and nightly validation. * Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to improve coverage and release quality. * Investigate and debug software, communication stack, and hardware failures using trace tools, debuggers, and bus analyzers. * Collaborate with BSW, firmware, and functional safety teams to reproduce, root-cause, and resolve issues. * Author traceable test cases and validation documentation aligned with ASPICE and software requirements. We're looking for someone who has: * 3+ years of embedded software validation, firmware test, or Software Engineer in Test experience, ideally in automotive. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field * Working knowledge of AUTOSAR (Classic and/or Adaptive) architecture and test methodologies involved in validation. * Hands-on experience testing at least one automotive communication protocol (CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, or Automotive Ethernet). * Working knowledge of Python or a similar scripting language; comfortable reading embedded C. * Familiarity with HIL/SIL testing and the Linux command line. * Understanding of software testing fundamentals (test case design, defect lifecycle, regression testing). Nice to have: * Strong experience with AUTOSAR Adaptive and POSIX-based operating systems (QNX, PikeOS, INTEGRITY, SafeRTOS). * Experience validating functional safety (ASIL B/C/D) and familiarity with automotive cybersecurity (ISO 21434). * Proficiency with automotive diagnostic and debugging tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, ControlDesk, TRACE32, and logic/protocol analyzers. * Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Buildkite. * Familiarity with ASPICE and test management tools like Jira, Polarion, or similar ALM platforms. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Perception Software Engineer on the Autonomy team, you will build the perception system for L4 autonomous trucks operating at highway speeds. The stack combines state-of-the-art machine learning - multi-modal 3D detection, BEV representations, learned tracking - with rigorous classical perception: state estimation, multi-object tracking, and sensor fusion. You will own problems end-to-end, from model architecture and training through onboard deployment and on-road validation. This is safety-critical software: every capability passes formal simulation, closed-course, and safety sign-off gates before it reaches public roads. You will collaborate daily with behavior/planning engineers, systems and safety engineers, and validation teams. ABOUT THE ROLE The Systems Engineering Tools & Traceability Engineer will help build the internal platforms and workflows that support development and validation for autonomous vehicle programs at Applied Intuition. You’ll develop scalable backend systems and tooling that connect requirements, modeling, validation, and test data into a unified engineering platform. This role sits at the intersection of backend infrastructure, systems engineering, and safety-critical development. You’ll work closely with autonomy, safety, and systems engineering teams to improve traceability, automate workflows, and support reliable, production-grade engineering processes across vehicle programs.
