We’re looking for a full-stack engineer obsessed with Lovable’s growth engine - turning first touches into daily habits, and daily habits into a thriving ecosystem and real revenue. One sprint you’re shipping onboarding and activation flows; the next you’re crafting distribution rails and monetization features that help builders reach more users and keep them around. You think in React and APIs, but your first instinct is always: does this make users more successful, more often?
Coding skills + excellent taste + growth instincts + product obsession = you.
Why Lovable?
Lovable lets anyone and everyone build software with any language. From solopreneurs to Fortune 100 teams, millions of people use Lovable to transform raw ideas into real products - fast. We are at the forefront of a foundational shift in software creation, which means you have an unprecedented opportunity to change the way the digital world works. Lovable-built applications and websites are visited hundreds of millions of times a month, and our enterprise footprint is compounding fast. And we’re just getting started.
We’re a small, talent-dense team building a generation-defining company from Stockholm. We value extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. We seek out people who care deeply, ship fast, and are eager to make a dent in the world.
What we’re looking for
5+ years of experience building and growing user-facing products in high-performing teams, ideally including growth work, marketplaces/platforms, or communities.
Strong product sense and UX taste for multi-sided systems with creators, learners, and customers - you can see problems from multiple sides and design for all of them.
Comfortable using data, funnels, analytics, attribution, and A/B testing to shape what you build and how you iterate.
Skilled at designing, measuring, and iterating experiments, and thorough in setting up growth systems “right” from the start.
Experience collaborating across functions (design, marketing, partnerships, support, data) to launch and grow new product surfaces and ecosystems.
Enjoys designing reusable growth, ecosystem, and monetization tools that other builders can plug into, with a pragmatic and detail-oriented mindset.
Motivated by helping others succeed and by seeing impact through engagement, measurable results, and revenue - you care about the scoreboard as much as the code.
What you’ll do
In one sentence: You will build the growth, ecosystem, and monetization systems that make Lovable - and the apps built on it - sticky, discoverable, and revenue-generating.
Ship and iterate activation, monetization and retention experiences that create fast, repeatable value and turn first-time users into long-term fans.
Build distribution rails for user apps: SEO and performance, shareable moments, social previews, email and lifecycle journeys, and other growth hooks.
Ship marketplace and ecosystem features for publishing, discovering, and reusing apps, templates, components, and services - plus profiles, reviews, and matching between builders and customers.
Design and implement monetization and pricing flows: payments, subscriptions, access control, plans, paywalls, billing integration, and revenue-share models that work for creators, customers, and Lovable.
Build the analytics and experimentation foundations - events, funnels, attribution, and A/B tests - so the team can understand what works and double down on it.
Collaborate closely with design, marketing, partnerships, and support to launch and grow new surfaces across the product and ecosystem.
Keep the experience relentlessly Lovable while making growth the engine, not the afterthought.

🏢 ABOUT NIVODA Nivoda is a fast-growing B2B marketplace transforming the global diamond and gemstone industry. We connect thousands of suppliers and retailers across 100+ countries, processing $300M+ in annual transactions - and we're just getting started. The gemstone industry is a $350 billion opportunity, and we're building the infrastructure to unlock it. We're at an inflection point - scaling fast, hiring deliberately, and rethinking how we build. We're not a company that moves slowly and ships carefully. We ship, learn, and iterate - and we're looking for engineers who love that rhythm. 🎯 OUR MISSION The traditional diamond supply chain is opaque, slow, and inaccessible to anyone without deep industry connections. We're changing that. Nivoda's mission is to make the global gemstone market accessible to every business, regardless of size or location. We democratise access to inventory, pricing, and logistics so that a jeweller in Boston has the same power as a trading house in Antwerp. Engineering is how we make that happen. The code you write will be used by tens of thousands of buyers and suppliers every day. ⭐️ THE GROWTH TEAM You'll be joining the Growth pod - a high-priority, high-visibility squad that owns the levers that compound: acquisition, conversion, retention, and monetisation across the entire customer lifecycle. This is a team where engineering decisions show up in the growth dashboard the next morning. The pod operates like a startup inside Nivoda. You'll work closely with the PM and designer, move fast, run experiments, and have a real say in how things get built. We're hybrid in Boston - you'll be in with the team regularly, and we think the best ideas happen in the room. This pod is also where Nivoda is deliberately changing how we build. We're investing in AI-assisted engineering workflows, giving engineers real latitude to try new tools, and building a culture where experimentation is the default - not the exception. If you want to be part of shaping that, this is the team to join. 🤝 ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer on the Growth pod, you'll own end-to-end implementation of features that directly move revenue, conversion, and retention metrics. You'll work across the stack - TypeScript and Node.js on the backend, React on the frontend - and be expected to go wherever the problem takes you. This isn't a role where you pick up tickets and ship them. You'll be involved in shaping what gets built and how, contributing to technical decisions, and helping define what good engineering looks like in a team that's moving fast. You'll also be one of the people leading the way on how Nivoda uses AI in its engineering workflow - not just as a productivity tool, but as a genuine lever for building better software faster. 🚀 WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING? * Build and ship features across the full stack that directly grow revenue, conversion, and retention - you'll see your work in the metrics within days of shipping. * Design and implement the technical architecture for growth features, in-app experiments, and lifecycle and monetisation flows - making pragmatic decisions that balance speed with maintainability. * Identify and build growth loops - referral mechanics, pricing and packaging experiments, and features that compound usage across both sides of the marketplace. * Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, or whatever works best for you) as a first-class part of your engineering workflow - we actively encourage this and want to learn from how you do it. * Contribute to how the team uses AI beyond your own workflow - sharing patterns, tools, and approaches that make the whole squad faster and better. * Work closely with the PM and designer in tight, fast feedback loops - you're not waiting for specs to be 'done' before you start thinking about implementation. * Run A/B experiments end-to-end: implement the test, instrument the events, analyse the results, and feed the findings back into the next iteration. * Write clean, well-tested code that the team can build on - and raise concerns when you see technical debt accumulating that will slow us down later. * Participate in architecture and technical design conversations - your opinion on how to build things matters here, not just that you can build them. * Stay close to the latest in AI tooling, engineering practices, and developer productivity - and bring what you learn back to the team. * Mentor more junior engineers and help build an engineering culture that's proud of both its speed and its craft. 🔍 WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? * 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production features in TypeScript/Node.js and React (or equivalent modern stack). * A genuine bias for action - you default to building and learning, not deliberating and waiting. You know how to ship something imperfect and iterate fast. * Active, fluent use of AI coding tools in your day-to-day workflow - you've moved beyond the basics and have a clear view on where AI makes you faster and where it doesn't. * Strong instincts for technical trade-offs in a fast-moving environment - you can tell the difference between debt that's fine to carry for now and debt that will hurt the team in two sprints. * Experience building and instrumenting A/B experiments, feature flags, or other data-driven engineering patterns. * Comfort working close to the product - reading dashboards, questioning metrics, and understanding the 'why' behind what you're building. * Clear, direct communication - you can explain a technical decision to a PM in two sentences and to a fellow engineer in a whiteboard session. * Based in or willing to commute to Boston regularly for in-person collaboration. ✨ NICE TO HAVE * Experience working in a growth engineering context - conversion optimisation, retention and lifecycle tooling, referral loops, pricing and monetisation, or experimentation platforms. * Familiarity with building or integrating AI-powered features in production products (LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, embedding-based search, or similar). * Experience at a high-growth marketplace or two-sided platform - you understand the complexity of building for both sides of a network. * Contributions to open source projects, technical writing, or other public engineering work. * Exposure to modern data infrastructure and analytics tooling (Snowflake, dbt, Mixpanel, Segment, or similar). 🌟 OUR CULTURE AND WHAT WE OFFER Nivoda is building something genuinely new - and we want engineers who want to build it with us, not just ship features into it. We care about craft, speed, and impact in equal measure. We don't have a lot of rules, but we have high expectations and high trust. On this pod in particular, you'll have real latitude. We're actively investing in new ways of working, new tools, and new approaches to engineering. If you have an idea for how to do something better - try it. We'd rather learn from a failed experiment than maintain the status quo. 🎁 OUR CURRENT BENEFITS * Competitive salary: $170,000 – $190,000 USD * Hybrid working in Boston - flexibility with meaningful in-person time * Private health insurance * Unlimited holiday allowance * Flexible compensation card (meals, transport, childcare) * Access to the latest AI tooling - we'll cover the subscriptions * Opportunities for growth, learning, and career development * The chance to join during an exponential expansion phase and directly shape how the next version of Nivoda gets built 🤝 EQUAL OPPORTUNITY Nivoda is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences - even if you don't tick every box. If this role excites you, apply. Please submit your CV in English. 💬 NOT QUITE THE RIGHT ROLE? If this isn't the perfect fit but you're excited by Nivoda, join our Talent Pool and we'll reach out when something that suits you opens up.

AN OVERVIEW OF THIS ROLE As Engineering Manager, Growth at GitLab, you’ll focus on building and enabling a high-performing team that helps users discover, activate, and expand value in GitLab. Growth’s mission is full-funnel: linking acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and monetization into measurable self-serve loops, while using experimentation to improve how users experience the product. Your primary focus will be to hire, coach, and develop team members, and to create an environment where they can do their best work while delivering strong results. You’ll partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering stakeholders to translate business goals, user journey insights, and experiment learnings into product improvements that help users realize value faster. You will foster a culture that challenges the status quo and leverages AI-native experimentation to find innovative solutions for our users. You and your globally distributed team will work in an agile and asynchronous way, working across GitLab to run experiments on GitLab.com, improve onboarding and discoverability, and streamline the paths that connect users to existing product value. Growth teams work iteratively, operate across product areas, and use experimentation to make data-informed product choices. In this role, you’ll balance technical guidance with people management. You’ll guide architecture and implementation discussions, help the team navigate tradeoffs, and ensure experiments and product changes are built carefully, measured well, and aligned with long-term product ownership. Because Growth often works across product boundaries, you’ll also help your team work effectively with counterpart groups and smoothly hand off or scale successful work where ongoing ownership belongs elsewhere. Some examples of our projects: * Improving signup, onboarding, and activation experiences to help new users get to value faster * Running experiments and A/B tests on GitLab.com to improve discoverability, conversion, engagement, and upgrade flows WHAT YOU’LL DO * Hire, guide, and enable a high-performing Growth engineering team, creating an environment where GitLab team members can do their best work and deliver strong results. * Partner closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, Data counterparts, and other Engineering Managers to define and deliver improvements that increase user discovery, activation, and expansion of value in GitLab. * Own delivery for your team, including planning, prioritization, and execution of work across experiments and product improvements, turning learnings into measurable gains in conversion, engagement, and upgrade flows. * Drive Growth’s operating model by guiding experiment ideation, ICE-based prioritization, hypothesis development, and review of results so the team can scale winning changes and stop low-impact work quickly. * Guide the technical design and implementation of experiments and growth-oriented product changes, ensuring they are measured well and tied to activation, conversion, and retention outcomes. * Work across Growth and other stage groups when work touches areas owned by other teams, helping your team move quickly while maintaining strong partnership and clear ownership boundaries. * Dive into technical discussions and reviews, helping unblock complex issues and translating technical and experimental tradeoffs into clear context for technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Foster strong async communication and healthy cross-functional operating rhythms with Product, Design, Analytics Instrumentation, Data, Customer Success, Sales, and other Growth counterparts to improve experiment execution and business outcomes. * Drive the adoption of AI-native experimentation and workflows, actively identifying creative opportunities to use AI to accelerate user value delivery. WHAT YOU’LL BRING * Experience managing product, growth, or development teams, with a track record of building high-performing, values-aligned teams. * Strong technical background and the ability to guide fullstack engineering work, architecture discussions, and pragmatic delivery in a product environment. Growth teams use fullstack engineering to move efficiently across frontend and backend needs. * Experience working closely with Product, Design, and Data to deliver measurable outcomes through iteration, experimentation, and continuous improvement. * Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, especially in environments where work spans multiple product areas and stakeholder groups. * Comfort working in a data-informed environment, including prioritizing opportunities, evaluating experiment results, and helping teams make clear, evidence-based choices. * Ability to deep dive into complex technical and product issues and translate them into clear, actionable language for both technical and non-technical audiences. * Experience managing remote, globally distributed teams and working effectively in an all-remote, asynchronous environment. * Experience with developer tools and product-led growth, and the ability to model GitLab’s values while contributing to an inclusive, high-performing culture. * A demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and creatively utilize AI-driven tools to solve complex product challenges. About the team The Growth stage is focused on scaling GitLab’s business value by assessing the customer journey from acquisition through activation, adoption, and reactivation, and by identifying the highest-ROI levers to focus on at a given moment. We are a cross-functional team that works closely with Product, Design, Analytics Instrumentation, Data, Customer Success, Sales, and other product groups. Growth does not own broad product areas in the traditional sense; instead, we help users discover and unlock value throughout the GitLab application by shipping targeted improvements directly and partnering with stage groups on larger initiatives. Our engineering teams work with a strong experimentation mindset. We run experiments on GitLab.com, use common planning and operating processes, and work asynchronously to turn learnings into better user experiences and stronger business outcomes.
