We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, production reliability, and operational performance across industrial facilities and process plants.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, and production teams to deliver automation systems that support safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.
Responsibilities
Design and develop industrial automation systems for manufacturing and process environments
Integrate production equipment, machinery, and industrial control systems
Develop, configure, and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions
Support system integration, testing, commissioning, and startup activities
Analyze operational performance and identify automation improvement opportunities
Troubleshoot automation, control, and communication system issues
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, maintenance, and production teams
Prepare technical documentation, functional specifications, and test procedures
Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
Experience designing and implementing industrial automation solutions
Strong experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and control systems
Experience within manufacturing, process industry, mining, metals, energy, or infrastructure projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Fluent English, both written and spoken

Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley
Schneider Electric automation platforms
ABB automation systems
SCADA platforms such as WinCC, Ignition, Wonderware, AVEVA, or iFIX

Your Future Role Aimpoint is currently looking for an Industrial Automation Engineer with experience in advanced, high‑automation production systems. In this role, you will work with PLC/HMI development and take overall responsibility for the development, optimization, and implementation of our advanced and highly automated production lines within your area of responsibility. You will act as a requirements owner for systems and automation solutions, and participate in development, installation, commissioning, and upgrading of equipment. Additional tasks include troubleshooting, system upgrades, feasibility studies, pre-engineering, and contributing to automation strategy, simulations, and system visualization. Reporting Structure: * Reports to: Sales Manager * Direct Reports: N/A Key Responsibilities: * Development and implementation of automation solution opportunities for industrial and commercial projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices. * Serve as the primary technical contact for key client accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships through regular communication and addressing client needs. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project managers, and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. * Build and maintain relationships with CIMTEC suppliers and partners, to include 3rd party integration partners. * Develop project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines, and present technical solutions to clients. * Oversee project execution, including resource allocation, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints. * Provide technical expertise and support during the installation, commissioning, and startup phases of automation systems in conjunction with our engineering team. * Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all CIMTEC Product Lines and Services, including but not limited to FESTO, SICK, ABB, Universal Robots, Epson Robots, Kawasaki, Emerson Automation and LMI. * Develop forecasts and execute sales plans to achieve company and individual goals. * Manage and maintain excellent relationships and identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with new and existing customers. * Maintain accurate account records within Salesforce (CIMTEC CRM) Qualifications: * Experience selling Technical Automation Products in a Manufacturing Environment * Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on industrial automation, vision, robotics, and control systems. * DCS hands-on configuration (We could require strong experience with either industrial robotics, vision, or controls related to CIMTEC suppliers mentioned above). * Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering successful projects on time and within budget. * Extensive sales, marketing, and operations experience in the Automation Industry (preferably with a strong robotics, vision, and controls background). * Strong Business Development acumen. * Strong entrepreneurial spirit with an established network (contacts). * Experience in both high-volume transactions and project-based cap-ex projects. * Strong work ethic with proactive communication skills. * Proficient computer and technical skills, including working knowledge of Salesforce and MS Office 365 (including MS Teams) * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, and/or related experience.
