DEINE AUFGABEN * Betrieb & Optimierung: Als IT Operations Engineer - Cloud & Kubernetes (w/d/m) wirst du Teil eines dynamischen Teams, das Verantwortung für die Betreuung und Optimierung verschiedener Kundensysteme übernimmt. * Stabilität & Automatisierung: Neben der Sicherstellung des stabilen Betriebs bist du auch für die stetige Verbesserung und Automatisierung der Umgebung verantwortlich * Architektur & Monitoring: Du arbeitest an der Planung, dem Aufbau, der Überwachung und dem Betrieb moderner IT-Systemarchitekturen, analysierst Leistungsdaten und leitest daraus innovative Lösungen ab. * Container & Cloud: Du übernimmst den Aufbau, Orchestrierung und Betrieb von containerisierten Cloud basierten Anwendungen * Projekte & Gestaltung: Bei uns erwarten dich spannende Technologie-Projekte, in denen du einen großen Gestaltungs- und Entscheidungsspielraum hast * Schulung & Beratung: Darüber hinaus unterstützt du Kunden und Kolleg*innen durch Schulungen und Beratung – sowohl technologisch als auch methodisch. DEINE QUALIFIKATIONEN * Ein hohes Maß an Verantwortungsbewusstsein und Erfahrung im Betrieb produktiver Systeme sowie im Betrieb von Kubernetes (z.B Openshift,  Rancher) * Du bist sicher im Umgang mit Cloud-basierten Architekturen – idealerweise sowohl in Public Clouds (z.B. OVHcloud, StackIT, IONOS, AWS) als auch in Private Clouds (z.B. VMware vSphere, Nutanix, OpenStack). * Du arbeitest sicher mit Infrastructure as Code-Tools wie Terraform, Ansible oder Formae und nutzt sie, um effiziente und automatisierte IT-Prozesse zu gestalten. * Du konntest bereits Erfahrung mit automatisierten Deployments (z. B. GitLab-CI, Flux-CD) sowie der nahtlosen Integration und Verwaltung von Managed Services sammeln, um effiziente und skalierbare IT-Lösungen zu gewährleisten. * Du bist versiert im Umgang mit Linux-Betriebssystemen und bringst Programmierkenntnisse (z.B. Python, Go) mit * KI-Kompetenz: Du nutzt KI-Tools und -Technologien bereits selbstverständlich in deinem Arbeitsalltag – z. B. um Prozesse effizienter zu gestalten, komplexe Probleme zu strukturieren oder Wissen schnell zu teilen. Dabei siehst du KI nicht als Ersatz, sondern als Unterstützung, um deine Arbeit noch effektiver zu machen. * Neben deiner technischen Expertise arbeitest du gerne im Team und überzeugst durch hohe Kommunikationsfähigkeit sowie verhandlungssichere Deutschkenntnisse. * Im Rahmen deiner Tätigkeit kann es erforderlich sein, eine 24/7 Rufbereitschaft zu übernehmen, um den stabilen Betrieb der Systeme sicherzustellen. * Gute Englischkenntnisse runden dein Profil ab. The Compute Operations team support the day-to-day operation of on-prem compute infrastructure, covering HPC server hardware, Linux-based platforms, and user-facing support. You will work closely with the Compute Ops Team Lead, Linux engineers, and other platform groups to maintain reliable, performant compute services across Slurm, Kubernetes, and control-plane environments.  Your Future Role within QRT You will: * Provide hands-on support for HPC server hardware, including diagnostics, issue investigation, and coordination with vendors for repairs * Monitor system health and respond to alerts using infrastructure monitoring tools * Support hardware lifecycle activities, including provisioning, maintenance, and decommissioning * Troubleshoot Linux-based systems across OS, networking, and storage layers * Triage and resolve user-facing issues across compute platforms such as Slurm and Kubernetes * Coordinate with internal teams and vendors on maintenance and incident resolution * Execute scheduled maintenance and change activities * Maintain accurate infrastructure records and documentation * Contribute to runbooks and continuous improvement of operational processes * Participate in on-call rotations and incident response Your Present Skillset * 2–5 years of experience in compute infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related role * Strong Linux systems administration experience (i.e. RHEL, Rocky Linux, or similar) * Strong understanding of server hardware (i.e. compute, storage, networking components) * Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g. OneView, Dell OME, or similar) * Exposure to HPC or platform environments such as Slurm or Kubernetes * Experience or familiarity with operational tooling (i.e. NetBox, DNS, HashiCorp Vault, Ansible, scripting languages or similar) * Knowledge of automation or scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, Ansible) * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment * Understanding of datacentre operations and safety practices is beneficial QRT is an equal opportunity employer.
