ABOUT THE ROLE As we continue to expand to provide additional services to meet the needs of those we care for, we currently have a number of opportunities within our Orchard Community Care division at our home in Co Roscommon area for full time, part time or relief Nurses.  We would love to welcome you to our team to help provide residential and day services to children and adults with medium to profound disability, including those with life limiting conditions. Our multidisciplinary teams are supported by a range of other professionals including psychologists, behavioural therapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists.  Working on a rolling roster, shift basis, which includes sleep in's and waking night duty as required. You will engage in daily activities and routines of the service, providing dedicated direct support to the people we care for as well as contributing to their development, health, and wellbeing.  Essential Requirements: * Currently registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland in the RNID Division. * Demonstrate a working knowledge of HIQA National Standards & Health Act Regulations for Residential Care Settings. * Candidates should be proficient in I.T, possess a high level of communication skills, work well within a team and be able to provide high quality focused care. * Rostering requirements: shifts rotations (12-hour shifts) will include Days, Live Nights, Weekends, and flexibility is required. * Full manual driver’s license with eligibility to drive in Ireland. * Eligible to live and work in Ireland without restriction Main Responsibilities: * Deliver individualised care to each person we support (in accordance with the care plan and best clinical judgment). * Assess the needs of the people we support and develop a person-centered care plan, taking into consideration recommendations from other members of the Care Services team. * Manage the Care Assistants and help them in their daily duties; allocate and supervise tasks; provide guidance, leadership and training where required. * Attend and participate in staff meetings. * Organise relevant documentation and transport for service users external care appointments and emergency care services.  * Maintain accurate, specific, person centered and detailed progress notes for all of the residents and share these together with a comprehensive verbal update with the Nurse taking over the next shift. * Maintain accurate medication cardex information. The ESRF-ILL-EMBL medical service "SMTC" (Service de Médecine du Travail en Commun) is a joint occupational health service, whose main mission is to prevent any alteration in the health of workers because of their work. You will work together with another nurse and a medical assistant to ensure the smooth running of the service under the coordination of the Occupational Health Doctor. Your tasks Your main responsibilities will be the following: . Provide routine and emergency care . Update staff medical records in the Medical Service software . Prepare medical check-ups, perform additional examinations (including toxicological and radio-toxicological examinations) and monitor the health of staff . Perform informative and preventative medical check-ups for new hires (known as "visites d'information et de prévention infirmier") . Be the first point of contact for staff and visitors, provide advice on healthcare matters and perform vaccinations . Manage medical equipment supplies and keep track of stocks of medications . Provide statistical data for regulatory documentation Your profile . You have a French "Diplôme d'Etat d'Infirmier·ière" (or equivalent diploma) allowing you to work as a nurse in France. You have at least five years' experience, preferably in a hospital environment (emergency department, intensive care unit, etc.) . You hold, or are currently pursing, a French "Diplôme d'Infirmier·ière en Santé au Travail (DIUST)". . If you are not already an occupational first-aid trainer, the ILL will help you gain this qualification. . You have sound knowledge in the area of occupational health and ensure that you keep your skills up to date with continuous professional development (CPD). . You are proficient in the use of computer software (Word, Excel, email) and you are able to adapt quickly to new software. . You are capable of managing emergencies, prioritising, and reporting efficiently. . You are familiar with, or interested in learning about, the risks associated with working under ionising radiation. . You have an excellent command of spoken and written French and English.
