Would you like to work with high-standard animal husbandry in Sweden? We are currently recruiting several pig farm workers for piglet and finishing pig production on modern farms across Sweden.

Daily care and supervision of pigs

Working hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 07:00–16:00. Weekend work may occur.
Experience working in pig production
Experience with vaccination, treatment, and castration
Valid category B driver’s license
Relevant education in agriculture or animal care
We are looking for someone who is responsible, detail-oriented, has a good eye for animals, and enjoys working as part of a team.
You will be employed by AgriPartners Scandinavia AB and assigned to a client farm.

Adheres at all times to Animal Welfare and Bio-Security protocols, guidelines, and procedures at all times. Essential Responsibilities: Advanced sow/gilt care and handling (feeding/watering/moving/ventilation) Observe animals in heat to detect approach of estrus and exercise animals to induce or hasten estrus, if necessary Understanding and ability to conduct advanced breeding functions (artificial insemination, heat check, day-one pig care) Ability to perform necropsy and collection of tissue sample including PUC sampling Treat minor injuries and ailments Communicate with appropriate management and/or veterinarians to obtain treatment for animals with serious illnesses or injuries Stock supplies of feed and medicines Select animals to be bred, and semen specimens to be used, according to knowledge of animals, genealogies, traits, and desired offspring characteristics Examine animals to detect symptoms of illness or injury Record animal characteristics such as weights, growth patterns, and diets Brand, tattoo, or tag animals for animal identification Place vaccines in drinking water, inject vaccines, or dust air with vaccine powder to protect animals from diseases Exercise animals to keep them in healthy condition Adjust controls to maintain specific building temperatures required for animals' health and safety Maintain logs of semen specimens used and animals bred Inject prepared animal semen into female animals for breeding purposes, by inserting nozzle of syringe into vagina and depressing syringe plunger Prepare containers of semen for freezing and storage or shipment, placing them in dry ice or liquid nitrogen Package and label semen to be used for artificial insemination, recording information such as the date, source, quality, and concentration Adhere to animal welfare guidelines Experience with or ability to learn farm technology (hand held devices/wand sows and other equipment, as necessary) Attend safety meetings Cleaning and disinfection of facilities, including removal of mortality and waste Check feed system and fill lines Production/facility housekeeping duties Any other tasks assigned by Assistant or Manager Required Qualifications : 4-year degree in related to the agricutlure field or equivalent experience in a similar production environment Regular and reliable transportation Basic math & computer skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to safely lift 50 pounds. Attention to detail. Ability to clean and organize work areas. Interpersonal skills for working with other employees. Continual walking and/or standing, up to 95% of the day Available to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Field Operator will report and maintain the facilities assigned to and perform other activities as required by management. * Maintain motor vehicle in good working order and clean. * Ability to safely pig either an oil or gas pipeline as needed. * Monitor SCADA system to understand field operation and react accordingly. * Always wear required PPE per company policy. * Report and maintain facilities assign to: * Take readings of inlet, outlet, and fuel meters. * Keep the station clean. * Change filters on Dehydrators. * Monitor and adjust Fuel Conditioners * Gauge Product Tanks and prepare them for Sales. * Call in for H2O hauling. * Call in for Condensate hauling. * Clean Slug Catcher Y-Strainers * Monitor Chemical Storage Tanks (Methanol and Glycol) * Monitor for H2S with Drager and with H2S analyzer. * Visual Inspection of Compressors for coolant, gas, and oil leaks * Maintain an inventory of assorted filters in storage. * Monitor and maintain ROW signs, know your area. * Perform tasks in a safe, timely, and responsible manner. * Communicates with fellow co-workers, plant personnel, and management. * Assist with line locations. * Attends all scheduled safety meetings. * Provides support to co-workers. * Performs minor equipment repairs as needed * All other duties as assigned Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: * Previous pipeline or compressor experience * High school diploma or equivalent required * Possess and maintain a valid driver license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company. * Good communicator, work planner with excellent work ethics and good background in computer applications Working Conditions: * Driving on a daily basis, requiring a valid driver's license and ability to drive safely in different types of weather conditions to various locations. * Will be working outdoors in adverse and/or extreme weather conditions. * Works in temperature extremes due to both weather conditions and operating equipment. * Will be working in conditions where frequent loud noises occur. * Will be working in areas where hazardous materials require the prolonged wearing of PPE. * Will be working in close quarters while kneeling, sitting, squatting, standing, or lying down while holding tools and/or equipment. Physical Requirements: * Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. * Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. * Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above. * Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools. * Climbs and works at various heights and may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched, or kneeling position. * Routinely reacts to visual, aural, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work. * Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level, carry and lift up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 75 lbs., apply up to 100-foot pounds of torque.
