Description Job Opportunity We are looking for a Principal Architect to lead architectural development for Ekahau while driving
technical alignment and engineering standards across the broader Ookla team. You will define our multi-year technical roadmap,
ensuring our systems are scalable, secure and future-proof. You will act as a key advisor to senior leadership and you will be
bridging the gap between business strategy and technical execution. Ekahau is part of Ookla's connectivity intelligence portfolio,
and this role spans architecture across three complementary product lines: Ekahau, the industry-standard toolkit network engineers
use to design, survey, and troubleshoot enterprise Wi-Fi deployments; Speedtest Pulse, which delivers continuous, real-time
network performance monitoring intelligence to ISPs and network operators; and Speedtest Certified, the independent certification
program that benchmarks and validates network and device performance against Ookla's connectivity standards. Together, these
products span desktop, mobile, and cloud, and process performance data at global scale, giving you the opportunity to shape
architecture decisions that directly influence how networks and devices are designed, monitored, and certified worldwide. We are
looking for world class talent and the applicants should have hands-on skills and attitude, a strong technical background in
software and data architectures, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities Defining and evolving Ekahau’s
multi-year architectural roadmap, ensuring alignment with Ekahau’s business goals and long-term vision. Run architectural
governance and reviews to ensure consistent technical standards across engineering teams. Architect complex, high-availability
service and set company-wide standards for technical technical excellence and systemic reliability. Act as a bridge between
engineering teams, product stakeholders. Elevate the technical bar by mentoring senior engineers and architects. Identify
system-wide risks and establish proactive practices to prevent technical debt and systemic failures. Job Requirements We are

challenges, we’d like to hear from you. Extensive experience in software development with a focus on architecting full-stack SaaS
applications. Expert level fluency in modern backend and cross-platform technologies (Java, Kotlin, Typescript, Postgres) and AWS
ecosystem Deep understanding of service-oriented and layered architectures and experience in evaluating and adopting new
technologies based on business needs. A collaborative leader who is hand-on, gets things done and can communicate technical plans
and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term

Ookla provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job
related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is €90,000 - €100,000
Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors
including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company

JOB SUMMARY We are looking for a Principal Architect to define and drive the architectural vision of the software stack for the Graphcore ML accelerator. In this role, you will shape the architecture of our software ecosystem and maintain a deep understanding of the product’s hardware and software components, their interfaces, and how they interact. You are an excellent communicator, and you proactively convey the software architecture. You bring a pragmatic, trade-off-aware approach to decision-making, fully recognising the impact of architectural choices on product direction and engineering outcomes. THE TEAM The software architecture team is responsible for defining, maintaining and communicating the overarching architecture of our software stack, from firmware to ML frameworks. The team works within the wider software organisation, partnering closely with engineering teams who deliver against this architectural vision. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Define & document the software architecture of the software stack. * Work across different software domains to ensure a coherent end too end architecture. * Clearly communicate the software architecture to engineering teams. * Ensure teams understand key software architectural components, interfaces, and guiding principles. * Continuously maintain the software architecture as the product evolves. Communicate architectural changes proactively to all relevant stakeholders. * Stay informed about trends and developments in the ML/software ecosystem. * Assess the architectural impact of new technologies. * Be aware of the usability, performance, reliability, maintainability, testability, security and observability constraints on the software architecture. * Prototyping and validating architectural concepts through proof-of-concept implementations. * Contribute to future and/or related product definitions with a forward-looking mindset, understanding and communicating the impact of future direction on software architecture. * Work with the HW and Silicon architects to ensure product the needs of software stack. * Ensure the software architecture meets the product requirements. * Work closely with engineering, product, leadership, and partners to ensure alignment between business goals and architectural direction. CANDIDATE PROFILE ESSENTIAL: * Expertise in one or more of these technologies; Firmware, Drivers, ML frameworks (PyTorch, Triton, etc), Collectives, HPC, Tooling, C & C++, CPU architectures. * Technical expertise in the ML accelerator software space. * Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal. * Collaborative mindset and ability to influence. * Pragmatic approach to decision making, being very aware of trade-offs and implications. DESIRABLE * Demonstrable experience in a previous architecture role.
