checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program is being followed Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and perform HACCP
procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Must work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency’s request
Aid Quality Assurance Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations Work closely with production associates in
monitoring meat product AQL standards and specifications, correcting any deficiencies and notifying management of any violations
of USDA regulations or HACCP requirements. Maintain lab equipment by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance is performed

Description Position at JBS USA Essential Job Duties: Responsible for monitoring in-process and finished product to ensure compliance to established specifications and temperature requirements. Monitoring labels to ensure they meet regulatory requirements including tare weights, UPC codes, legibility, establishment number, pricing and correct product identification. Monitor incoming ingredients for compliance to established visual and temperature requirements. Monitor finished product weights on stated weight products. Monitor finished product coding and packaging. Monitor tri-gas mixtures on finished product. Monitoring package seals. Performing in-process and finished product quality checks. Communicating to leads and supervisors when product is out of specification with increased monitoring or holding of product until the defect is corrected or reworked. Monitoring and recording shelf life results. Aseptic sampling of ground beef products for microbiological testing. Pre-operational sanitation inspections. Assist in enforcing plant wide compliance to GMP’s and employee safety rules. Must know job requirements for all positions on assigned production line(s). Accurately complete required daily paperwork. Other tasks as assigned. Ice River Sustainable Solutions is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Feversham team. In this hands-on role, you'll play an important part in maintaining product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance throughout our plastics manufacturing process. Working closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams, you'll perform inspections, laboratory testing, documentation, and process verification to help ensure our products consistently meet customer and company standards. This position works a 12-hour continental rotation. Pay Rate: $24.46/hour What You'll Do * Perform quality inspections, testing, and analysis on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products * Collect samples and complete laboratory testing to verify product quality and compliance * Calibrate and maintain quality testing equipment * Complete quality documentation, traceability records, corrective action reports, and non-conformance reports * Identify, isolate, and document non-conforming materials or products * Participate in GMP, HACCP, SQF, and internal quality audits * Support sanitation verification and food safety programs * Train production employees on quality standards and best practices * Work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement * Complete additional duties as required to support plant operations What We're Looking For * Previous Quality Assurance and/or sanitation experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment is considered an asset * Experience in plastics manufacturing, laboratory testing, thermoforming, bottle or preform production is an asset * Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and SQF programs is considered an asset * Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word * Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills * Effective communication and problem-solving abilities * Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment * Willingness to learn and develop new skills—we're happy to train the right candidate! Job Summary: The Quality Technician I is responsible for ensuring that all elements of food safety within the Quality Monitoring Scheme are being met. Ensures that all regulatory, customer, and company quality initiatives are being met and maintained. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform Quality checks on production lines in a timely and accurate fashion every hour per line. (Will frequently be responsible for 5 lines at any given time). * Brings discrepancies with the QMS to the attention of Supervisor or Quality Manager. These discrepancies are but not limited to HACCP programs, Allergen programs, Sanitation procedures, GMP findings, Foreign Material findings, and HOLD procedures. * Ensure that product being produced meets all legal and customer requirements as outlined in the Set Up Sheet for each product. * Complete paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion each day. * Perform required tasks to maintain 5-S and keep work areas clean. * Keep all information pertaining to our operations (products, customers, production details, etc.) confidential. * Maintain instrumentation and equipment in good condition and store appropriately. * Label, store, and organize samples and product retentions. * Follow Hold Procedures for all non-conforming materials or product. * Perform HACCP and Preventive Controls checks/tasks as needed. * Assist in test runs and new product trials as needed. * Perform other audits or inspections as required. * Perform other duties as required by supervisor. Minimal Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED required * Post High School education preferred * Required – 3 months of as a Quality Assurance Technician. * Preferred – 1 years of experience as a QA Technician or other technical department. * Must have good attention to detail and be able to spot defects on fast-moving production lines. * Must be able to gain a basic understanding of how different machinery operates as it relates to the quality of the product and adjustments that need to be made to correct certain conditions. * Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak, write, and comprehend Spanish is a plus. * Must be able to perform simple mathematic calculation, including working with fractions, ratios and percentages. * Must be able to maintain good interpersonal communications and work collaboratively with co-workers, employees from other departments, and superiors. * Experience with MS Office Suite is needed. * Follow all safety processes and procedures set forth by site leadership. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: * Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures. * Depending on which location, our environments can be very warm or refrigerated. * Team environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner. * Must have ability to lift 40 pounds occasionally and stand or sit for lengthy durations. * Must be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as across shifts.
