With AI tools accelerating how software is built, code is being shipped faster than ever before. This acceleration comes with a
major catch, being architectural and security risks are accumulating just as fast.
That’s where Oplane, a Malmö based tech startup comes in. They are on a mission to make secure software the default for teams
building at AI speed. Instead of patching things up afterwards, they embed security by design directly into the agentic workflow,
running automated threat modeling and delivering real time, inline fixes straight into modern developer tools.
A recent $5.2 million seed round led by Seed Capital and Icebreaker vc, with backing from prominent tech investors from the Neo4j
and Google ecosystems, is the direct driver behind expanding the engineering team right now.
THE WAY THEY BUILD
Agentic coding with Claude Code and Cursor is not a weekend experiment here, it is the core of how they ship software. The code is
explicitly structured to optimize AI development, producing clear, modular architecture that both humans and AI agents can safely
navigate and evolve.
YOUR MISSION & IMPACT
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will step in at a crucial early stage to design, build, and own the user facing experiences of
the AI security platform. The job is to turn complex data (asset graphs, threat modeling engines, and AI agent flows) into highly
responsive, intuitive, and beautiful interfaces that developers actually love to use.
What you will actually spend your days doing:
Frontend Architecture: Drive, scale, and own the frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Bridge the Layers: Connect sleek, intuitive UIs with the Python/FastAPI backends and complex, AI driven asynchronous service
layers.
- Lead the AI Workflow: Work actively with Claude Code and Cursor as part of your daily routine. You will guide the AI to
generate modern components, while you act as the main architect, reviewer, and owner of the final codebase.
- Clean Code Design: Write modular, predictable frontend structures that make it easy for both human team members and AI agents
to expand upon.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a frontend craftsman who thrives in the dynamic environment of an early stage startup, bringing the autonomy and technical
ownership needed to build things from the ground up.
What you bring to the table:
- Deep Frontend Craftsmanship: A bulletproof track record in modern frontend development, with specialized expertise in React and
TypeScript.
- An Eye for UI/UX & Performance: A genuine interest in state management, frontend performance, and building developer centric
interfaces that feel instantly responsive.
- The AI First Mindset: Great enthusiasm for agentic development. You look forward to leveraging AI tools to write the first
drafts, focusing your brainpower on reviewing, validating, and structuring the overarching architecture.
Work Authorization: Full eligibility to work in Sweden.
Bonus points if you have experience with other modern frameworks (like Angular), Python based backends, GraphQL, or if you have
previously built developer tools and complex SaaS dashboards.

- The Vibe: High bandwidth, real life collaboration is key here. This is a 100% onsite role at Oplane's office in central Malmö,
where the team works closely to maximize execution and speed.
