Experience with survey design, data analysis, and working with behavioral data (e.g., from analytics tools) is a plus
Strong synthesis skills, distilling findings into insights that influence design and product decisions.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to bring research to life for cross-functional teams.
Comfortable in fast-paced, iterative environments with shifting priorities.
Experience working closely with designers, PMs, and data scientists.
What you’ll do
Turn user insights into product direction that shapes how the world builds software.
Partner with product, design, growth and data teams to define learning goals for upcoming features and experiments.

Conduct user sessions directly with Lovable users, gathering firsthand insights into behaviors, motivations, and unmet needs.
Collaborate with data scientists to interpret behavioral data and validate qualitative findings.
Contribute to building research frameworks, templates, and best practices for scalable discovery at Lovable.

Through our subsidiaries, Moniepoint Inc. processes over $250 billion in digital payment transaction value annually. About the role As a UX researcher, you’ll be the ears of our product team. You’ll support our experienced researchers in uncovering the "why" behind user behaviours, helping us build products that truly make sense for people across Nigeria. This is a role for someone who is endlessly curious about how things work and wants to learn the craft of research from the ground up. You’ll play a vital part in our mission to bring financial happiness to everyone by ensuring our products remain simple, helpful, and relatable. Qualifications * 2–3 years of experience in UX research, market research, or a similar field where you've had to understand human behaviour. * A solid grasp of basic research methods (you know the difference between a survey and a deep-dive interview). * Comfortable using digital tools and keen to master new ones (like Maze, Typeform, or Google Forms). * Strong analytical thinking—you enjoy connecting the dots and finding patterns in information. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * An interest in fintech and how digital products are changing lives in Africa. * Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment. * A background in social sciences, psychology, or design. ABOUT YOU * You have a strong desire for mastery and aren't afraid to ask "why" until you truly understand. * You look at problems from different angles and enjoy thinking of creative ways to get answers. * You are approachable and friendly. You know how to make research participants feel at ease so they speak their truth. * You take pride in being factual and organised. You ensure your notes are accurate and your data is clean. * You’re excited about the Nigerian market and want to discover the unique ways our users interact with money.. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE * Research projects run smoothly because the logistics and participant recruitment are handled proactively. * You become proficient in conducting foundational research sessions independently within your first 6 months. * The research repository is kept up-to-date, making it a "source of truth" for the product team. * Stakeholders consistently praise the clarity and helpfulness of the research documentation you assist with. Please submit a resume highlighting your research experience and outlining research methodologies, processes, and the impact of your work on user experience and business outcomes. Optionally, you may also include a PDF portfolio with case studies that further illustrate your research approach and results. While a portfolio is not required, it can provide additional insight into your end-to-end research thinking and influence on product direction. OUR HIRING PROCESS * Resume review: We look for strong experience that showcases your research process, methodologies, and impact. * Technical interview with a senior researcher: Deep dive into your experience, approach, and alignment with our mission. * Case study presentation: Present a research project to a panel, demonstrating your problem-solving, research craft, and strategic thinking. * Executive interview: Discussion with senior leadership about your growth potential, influence, and ability to drive user and business success.
