We are looking for an experienced Product Engineering Team Lead to join our team of dedicated professionals.
As the Product Engineering Team Lead at Bisly, you will lead the development of the web applications that power our smart building
ecosystem. You'll guide a team of full-stack engineers building the tools that customers and operators use to configure, monitor,
and control intelligent buildings.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape technical direction, support product delivery, and foster a culture of
ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Working closely with Product and Operations, you'll help balance customer

We are looking for an experienced Product Engineer to join our team of dedicated professionals. YOUR MISSION As a Product Engineer at Bisly, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the services that power our smart building ecosystem. You’ll develop the house server platform that controls various systems and integrations within an intelligent building, enabling seamless data flow and automation across thousands of connected devices while ensuring reliability and performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services in C++ and Rust. * Evaluate, integrate, deploy, and optimize AI tool and services to support product innovation and business needs. * Take technical ownership of projects and contribute to architecture planning. * Develop and deploy robust software for cloud and local environments. * Define and implement data strategy and synchronization between systems. * Optimize system performance and debug complex issues (memory, concurrency, I/O). * Design and develop APIs for local and cloud-based services. * Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. * Contribute to team practices, mentoring, and engineering culture as we scale. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL HAVE * 4+ years of professional experience in backend or systems programming. * Proficiency in C++ or Rust. * Solid understanding of distributed systems, network protocols, and asynchronous runtimes. * Experience with database engines (MariaDB, Postgres, NoSQL). * Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and on-premise/local server environments. * Proven ability to write clean, scalable, and well-tested code. * Solid knowledge of software development principles (OOP, design patterns, Agile). * Experience designing and consuming APIs (REST, gRPC, or similar). * Hands-on experience working with AI technologies, including integrating, deploying, or building AI-powered systems and services. * Comfortable working in fast-moving, collaborative teams across multiple disciplines. * Strong debugging skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, particularly when working with large, pre-existing codebases. What skills do you have? * You will have expert level knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, JS, Kotlin, Python, PHP, Golang, C++) * Flexibility to work on all areas of the service stack, front-end, back-end, infrastructure etc. * You will have an understanding of the principles of good software design. Familiarity with core concepts such as information hiding, abstraction, module design, cohesion and coupling. * You will have knowledge of testing methodology (TDD) and designing high-quality testing suites resilient to changes in implementation. * Understanding of Data Structures, Databases and Caching Technologies * You bring clarity to complex domains, rapidly developing a deep understanding and challenging unclear requirements. You lead conversations that drive alignment and uncover edge cases others might miss. YOUR MISSION As the Infra Platform Engineer, you will build and evolve the cloud platform behind Bisly's products, enabling our engineering teams to deliver software faster, more reliably, and at scale. You'll own our Azure infrastructure, Kubernetes platform, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stack while driving automation and operational excellence across the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As the Infra Platform Engineer at Bisly, you will be responsible for: * Designing, building, and maintaining Bisly's cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. * Developing, improving, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and automated software delivery. * Optimizing and evolving deployment workflows to improve the developer experience. * Operating and continuously improving our production Kubernetes platform. * Managing infrastructure as code using Terraform or OpenTofu to ensure scalable and repeatable environments. * Implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure the health, performance, and reliability of our microservices platform. * Collaborating with software engineers to improve platform reliability, automation, and operational efficiency. * Ensuring infrastructure follows security best practices and modern DevOps principles. * Driving continuous improvements in platform operations, automation, and developer productivity. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL HAVE * Proven experience building and operating cloud infrastructure, preferably in Microsoft Azure. * Strong Linux system administration skills. * Hands-on experience managing production Kubernetes environments. * Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions. * An infrastructure-as-code mindset with experience using Terraform or OpenTofu. * Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and server provisioning. * Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure security. * A passion for improving developer experience through automation and platform engineering. Nice to have experience with: * Proxmox, VMware ESXi, or other virtualization platforms. * Logging and monitoring solutions such as the ELK Stack or similar tools. * OpenTelemetry and modern observability practices. * Configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible. * Building automation, IoT, or industrial technology environments.
