United by our vision. Leading with empathy. Pioneers in curiosity.
Healios exists to bring exceptional healthcare to anyone, anytime, anywhere. By digitising entire clinical pathways, we enable
children, adults and their family members to receive and seamlessly transition between clinical services from the comfort of their
home.
Innovation is at the heart of what we do as we strive to be the leading provider of neurodevelopmental and associated mental
health services. You can find out more about us by clicking here!
Healios is all about helping families feel better and that includes our own families too, which is why we embrace diversity in all
its forms and offer unparalleled flexibility for our employees. For more information on what it’s like to be a Healios employee,
and our hiring processes, take a look at our Notion page.
“Great minds don’t think alike”
From our talented tech teams to our standout clinical expertise, we are bringing great minds together to build more accessible
services. Our software supports clinicians, young people and families through some of the most important moments of their lives,
so it needs to be reliable, secure and built with care.
Our values
Our values shape how we build, collaborate and care for everyone we support. We look for people whose own values align with them:
About the role
As a Software Engineer at Healios, you’ll build meaningful, well-crafted software that improves access to mental health and
neurodevelopmental care. We work in a focused, remote environment that values small, collaborative teams, clear ownership and the
space to do your best work without unnecessary meetings or noise.
Your work will contribute to one of our three strategic areas: improving the experience of the clinicians who use our platform,
making client operations sustainable as we grow, or giving our partners the confidence to expand their work with us.
You’re a full-stack generalist who is growing into ownership. You like to take features end-to-end, you’re comfortable with
ambiguity and finding your own answers, and you keep your team informed without being chased. You would rather ship something
useful and improve it than wait for the perfect approach. You’ll work closely with engineers, analysts and tech associates to
shape, build and ship features that are simple, scalable and useful.
Specialisms
Some engineers hold a specialism based on team needs, usually around 20% of their time. It is a chance to grow domain knowledge
and take on a key responsibility. Options include infrastructure (shared tooling, environments and deployment), data insights,
front-end and the design system, or engineering response.
Our stack
We build primarily in Ruby on Rails, but we hire for the engineer rather than the framework. Strong full-stack fundamentals matter
more to us than years on any one tool.
If you don’t meet every point below, please apply anyway. We are more interested in how you think and learn than in a perfect
checklist, and we would be glad to consider your application.

A note on your application
We use AI at Healios and we’re glad you might too. But please apply as you: we read every application, and a personal one, written
in your own words and about your own experience, will stand out more than something clearly generated against this advert. Tell us
who you are and why Healios, because that is what we are looking for.
How to apply
Apply through the link on this page with your CV and a short note about why this role and Healios appeal to you. A formal cover
letter is not needed.
What to expect: an initial conversation with someone from the team, a practical stage that reflects the kind of work you would
actually do rather than abstract puzzles, and a final conversation with the people you would be working alongside. We aim to keep
this to 2 stages over around 2 weeks, and we will let you know where you stand at each step. A real person reads every
application.

We’re glad to accommodate candidates who need adjustments throughout the hiring process and we're always learning about different
accessibility needs to ensure our hiring process is accessible for all candidates. We encourage you to be open about the
adjustments you need so we can adapt our interview process. You can read more about Healios being an Inclusive Employer on our
Notion page
Healios is a Disability Confident Committed Employer and we are committed to inclusivity and equality for people with different
needs in the workplace.
“Do the right thing” is one of our core Healios values. And building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels
supported is absolutely the right thing to do. Whether we’re developing a new service line or enhancing one of our products, we
need people with different skills, backgrounds, identities and perspectives to ensure our innovations will work for the children
and young people we are here to serve. By embracing diversity, we can deliver better care experiences and outcomes, while tackling
the inequalities in healthcare provision that exist today.
Healios ensures that supporting people to be safe is at the heart of our work and a key priority across all areas of the
organisation, We will do our absolute best to keep the people that we support, safe from harm. This starts with our recruitment
processes.
As part of our pre-employment checks, all employees of Healios will be asked to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Dependent on your role within the business, this will either be an Enhanced or Basic. A Protecting Vulnerable Groups
(PVG) check will be required. You will also be asked to provide two professional references as a minimum.
We are Shape.Construction ! About the job Contractors bleed margin on every project. Unmanaged change. Disputed claims. Missing records. When field teams don't follow processes, events go undocumented. Commercial teams scramble for evidence that doesn't exist. Disputes drag on. Recoverable profit vanishes. On high-value projects, millions of pounds disappear. Why? - Field teams use clunky tools that are too complex and too slow. Critical events never get recorded. The audit trail has gaps. - Commercial teams fight disputes with weak evidence, chase missing records, and lose recoverable margin while the business faces unnecessary claims. Shape fixes this once and for all. Shape is the only platform simple enough for field teams to adopt instantly, yet powerful enough to drive real commercial outcomes. Site teams capture every issue, event, and change in real time. Shape automatically builds the bulletproof evidence commercial teams need to defend and recover claims. The result: Fewer lost disputes. Faster resolutions. Full subcontractor accountability. Commercial teams manage change proactively instead of reacting to it. This is the problem we solve. But to really help our customers, we need experts who understand their pain first-hand. Many of our customers are Commercial Managers and Commercial Directors. Who better to consult them than other commercial professionals? That's where you come in. We are looking for a seasoned Commercial Manager ready not just for a change of role, but a change of industry. This is your opportunity to break away from the grind of construction and step into the fast-growing world of construction SaaS. As our Manager of Commercial Strategy, you'll use your hard-won expertise to guide other commercial teams through the biggest challenge they face: change and claims. Instead of battling over margins on a single project, you'll be leading conversations that transform how entire companies protect their profit. This is consultative sales and customer success at the highest level - where your becomes the product and your impact scales far beyond any single contract. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Purpose of the role To partner with our customers' commercial teams, helping them take control of change, disputes and claims using Shape. You will use your industry expertise to show them how to protect margin, build defensible records, and prevent the losses that most projects suffer today. Your top 5 responsibilities 1. Consult with commercial leaders to uncover where they are losing profit to change and disputes, and show how Shape stops margin leakage. 2. Support customer adoption ensuring site and office teams use Shape consistently to capture changes, issues and claims. 3. Coach customers on strengthening claims and defending disputes with documented, auditable records. 4. Act as the commercial voice inside Shape, shaping product development to better match the realities of construction projects. 5. Share best practice and lessons learned across our customer base, raising standards and outcomes for the entire industry. Your Capabilities - Significant experience as a Commercial Manager or in a similar construction role. - Deep understanding of how unmanaged change and poor records erode project profitability. - Strong communication skills - able to win trust and explain complex issues simply. - Strategic thinker who can move from diagnosing problems to implementing solutions. - Desire to make an industry-wide impact, not just improve a single project or business. Nice to Have (If you don’t have it now you will after joining): - Experience advising or consulting with multiple stakeholders. - Knowledge of SaaS platforms or digital transformation in construction. - Comfortable leading workshops, training sessions, or customer presentations. - Ability to link commercial pain points to practical technology solutions. Shape isn’t the place for you if any of the following is true: - You want an easy, chilled-out role without much challenge - You like to be the smartest person in the room - You don’t like continuously receiving honest candid feedback - You prefer to do your own thing rather than work with a team At Shape we value diverse experiences and perspectives, empowering each member to contribute their unique capabilities towards our collective success, so if you don’t think you meet all the criteria but still are excited about this role we encourage you to apply anyway! _________________________________________________________________________________________ Salary and Benefits Standard Stuff - Extremely competitive - Paid annual leave (varies by location) + statutory bank holidays - Private health insurance - In-house coaching sessions - Discretionary bonus scheme for all team members The Life-Changing Stuff - 4 Day Weeks: that’s right, every week - Flexibility: We care about outcomes, not clock-watching - Grow your whole self: Access to a coach, mentor, well-being therapist and a development-focused environment designed to give you 5 years of growth in 1 year - Be surrounded by the best: We only hire the top talent; progression is fast and development is unbounded. - Long-term impact: Shape is tackling the single biggest issue in construction delivery, with solutions designed to spread and outlast us. *Please do not book a demo via the Shape website as part of the application.

Full-Stack Software Engineer at Ameba Engineering at Ameba is a rare opportunity to build cutting-edge software in a traditional industry, while being generously rewarded for your contributions. If you’ve never considered working in supply chains before, everything around you, including the device you're reading this on, has a story of how it got there. Raw material to finished product, that story is the supply chain. If the unseen machinery of the world sparks something in you, we'd love to talk! We're a startup made up of experienced entrepreneurs (who have previously raised $160m+) and builders (ex-Meta, Palantir, Microsoft, Quant Devs, UnlikelyAI). We have big ambitions and are backed by some of the most successful investors in Europe. We’ve raised over $9M since our launch just over a year ago. Your Role as a Full-Stack Engineer As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our CTO and engineering team to design, build, and launch products from conception to launch. This involves working across the entire stack — from front-end (written in React/TypeScript), back-end (written in Kotlin and Python), machine learning (agentic workflows, entity matching), to infrastructure (AWS, Docker). Working at a startup so early, it's common to kick off a feature on Monday, and have users use it on Friday. You should be comfortable working with these tight feedback loops and long to build a product that users love. Don't worry if you lack experience in any of these areas - your application is still welcome! Life at Ameba We pride ourselves on providing top-of-market salaries and generous equity packages to all employees. We're assembling a lean team of exceptionally talented individuals and aim to reward them accordingly. * We enjoy collaborating together in the office, typically five days a week, for easy, high-bandwidth conversations. While we provide flexibility to work from home when necessary, our primary focus at this early stage is creating a strong office-first experience. * We offer 28 holiday days per year, and we shut down entirely over the holiday season for 2 weeks, allowing everyone to disconnect completely. * We provide four months of maternity and paternity leave at 100% salary. * We offer comprehensive healthcare and dental cover. * The salary range for this role is £80,000-£130,000 + generous equity. The salary for this position is determined by several factors, such as experience, relevant skills, business needs, or market demands. * You will have the opportunity (if you want it) to visit customers at their place of work, both in the UK and outside it! We currently work with customers in Portugal, the Netherlands, and more. Qualifications Essential: * Minimum 3 years of experience as a software engineer. * 2+ years of experience with React/TypeScript and an Object-Oriented Programming Language (Java, Scala, Kotlin, C#, C++). * Proven experience in building and shipping software, involving collaboration with other engineers, designers, product managers, and users to identify and implement solutions based on customer needs. * 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems. Desirable: * Undergraduate or Masters degree in Computer Science (or related fields). * Experience with AWS and Docker. * Interest in AI, and familiarity with building LLM-based agents. * Exposure to contract-first development (OpenAPI, gRPC/Protocol Buffers). * Ability to design scalable and efficient system architectures. * Ability to navigate rapidly changing priorities in a growing startup environment. * [Optional] Previous experience working at a startup or a keen interest in startups
