Assignment Description We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager What You Will Work On Lead and coordinate the external work package within a large-scale BESS project Manage project execution from conceptual design through commissioning and handover Coordinate internal and external engineering stakeholders Support project governance, reporting, and executive communication Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office and senior management Oversee project planning, risk management, and milestone tracking Manage interactions with engineering, procurement, and construction teams Support vendor selection, vendor management, and supplier coordination Ensure successful execution of detailed engineering activities Coordinate construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities Monitor project performance, budget, quality, and delivery objectives Drive stakeholder alignment across multiple Volvo Group initiatives Support executive-level reporting and steering committee activities Ensure project objectives align with strategic business goals Manage dependencies between the BESS project and related initiatives Support project phase-out and operational handover activities
What You Bring Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project or program management Proven experience managing utility-scale BESS projects Strong understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems and energy infrastructure Experience with performance verification and operational readiness of BESS facilities Experience working with DSO approval processes Strong knowledge of the Swedish energy market and regulatory environment Experience leading large-scale engineering, infrastructure, or energy projects Proven ability to operate in executive-level stakeholder environments Experience managing external vendors, contractors, and engineering partners Strong understanding of EPC, procurement, construction, and commissioning processes Experience with risk management and project governance frameworks Ability to manage strategic projects with significant business impact Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Experience working within complex matrix organizations Ability to bridge technical, commercial, and organizational perspectives
