This role provides engineering support, field coordination, technical documentation management, and problem-solving to ensure capital projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with program objectives. The Project Engineer works closely with project managers, construction teams, design engineers, procurement, operations, and client stakeholders to support design reviews, technical evaluations, field activities, and project controls. We are actively seeking qualified candidates to join our talent pipeline for future client engagements. WORK LOCATION: Travel to client sites may be required based on project demands and client expectations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented or adjusted as necessary.) * Support engineering and technical activities across capital projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements, design intent, and construction execution plans. * Assist with reviewing design drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance. * Support field engineering activities including site walks, construction coordination, equipment verification, and issue resolution. * Help maintain project schedules by tracking engineering deliverables, construction progress, and technical dependencies. * Assist with project controls activities such as cost tracking, quantity verification, procurement coordination, and change documentation. * Coordinate with design firms, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of technical questions and issues. * Prepare engineering logs, meeting minutes, action items, and technical reports. * Support commissioning and turnover activities including punch list development, equipment testing coordination, and documentation review. * Assist with risk identification, issue tracking, and mitigation planning. * Ensure project activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and internal procedures. * Support development of project documentation including work plans, technical summaries, and engineering packages. * Provide general engineering and project support to project managers and senior engineers. Education: * Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, industrial, or related discipline) required. * EIT certification or progress toward licensure is a plus. Technical Experience: * 1–3 years of experience supporting capital projects, construction projects, facility upgrades, or engineering design efforts. * Experience working in regulated or complex environments such as biotech, pharmaceutical, industrial, or advanced manufacturing is preferred. * Familiarity with engineering design processes, construction coordination, technical documentation, and field engineering activities. * Experience collaborating with design engineers, construction teams, procurement, operations, and safety personnel. * Exposure to project phases such as design development, procurement, construction, commissioning, or turnover is beneficial. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. * Proficiency with engineering and project management tools, CAD viewers, and standard office software. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams. * Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. * Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to shifting priorities. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to support field issue resolution. * Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and cross-functional partners.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of the requirements that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. We are looking for an experienced Project Completion Engineer – EIT​ to join our projects! In this role, you will ensure high-quality standards across Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecommunications (EIT) disciplines, supporting Construction, Mechanical Completion (MC), and Commissioning activities toward a safe and efficient project delivery.   Key responsibilities:​ • Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) within the EIT scope according to project plans and standards. • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, including ATEX, ECOM, Electrical Directive, NORSOK, and internal procedures. • Collaborate closely with QC, Construction, MC, and Commissioning teams for project execution and handover. • Participate in inspections, technical reviews, deviation handling, and reporting. • Drive improvements and standardization within quality processes and collaboration. Focus areas:​ • Quality of instrumentation and piping tubing installations. • Loop testing, cable routing, and termination quality. • Gland installation management and ATEX compliance. • Preservation, cleanliness, and red-line mark-up handling. • FSE input to as-built documentation and documentation flow. Qualifications:​ • Technical college degree or trade certificate in Electrical or Automation disciplines. • Experience in QA/QC​ roles within oil and gas projects. • Strong understanding of ATEX​, NORSOK​, ECOM​, and Electrical Directives​. • Previous involvement in multi-disciplinary project environments. • Quality- and improvement-focused mindset with excellent collaboration skills. • Fluency in speaking and writting in English and Norwegian.   Locations: we are hiring mainly for the Stavanger and Bergen areas. Either local or rotational availability.
