of business-critical applications. This role focuses on functional and backend testing, with a strong emphasis on data validation,
SQL analysis, and verification of complex business processes.
Working closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA Engineers, you will play a key role in delivering
high-quality software by identifying defects, validating data integrity, and continuously improving testing processes within an

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and independent software engineer to join our SMM Engineering team for a specific project engagement relating to Production Engineering/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). This role requires a proven track record of successful project execution, the ability to triage and resolve complex system issues, and the capacity to work autonomously while collaborating with the SMM Engineering team as needed. The engagement is project-based, focused on achieving specific, measurable deliverables related to SRE. Key Responsibilities: · System Reliability & Automation: Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality solutions, automation scripts, and tools to enhance the stability, performance, and efficiency of SMM electronic trading systems. This includes a strong propensity to automate manual tasks. · Deployment & Release Management: Contribute to the management of the release and deployment lifecycle for SMM applications, ensuring smooth and reliable rollouts. · Technical Collaboration: Partner with software and infrastructure owners to address software issues and provide system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning input · Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain clear, concise technical documentation for SRE solutions, automation, and operational procedures. Provide regular progress updates to SMM Engineering leads and trading stakeholders. Technology Stack: The contractor is expected to possess strong proficiency and hands-on experience with the following technologies and concepts: · Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java or Python, C++ is a plus · Operating Systems: Experience with Linux operating system internals. · Networking: Strong understanding of networking concepts. · Version Control: Experience with modern version control systems (e.g., Git). · SRE/DevOps Tools: Familiarity with tools for monitoring, logging, and CI/CD (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Jenkins, GitLab CI) is highly beneficial given the role's focus on automation, monitoring, and release management. Preferred Experience & Skills: · Independent Work Ethic: Exceptional ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and take ownership of SRE tasks from inception to completion with minimal supervision. · Problem-Solving Acumen: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks in complex, fast-paced production environments. · Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts and project progress to technical stakeholders · Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving SMM platform requirements and environments.
