another. You will be responsible for middleware platforms that sit between the application and infrastructure layers, ensuring
applications continue to operate reliably throughout planning, testing, migration, and post-migration activities.
The role combines middleware administration, automation, troubleshooting, documentation, and close collaboration with project
managers, infrastructure teams, and application owners.
For our client we are looking for a Middleware Engineer for DC migration project, to join the team in an onsite working model. The following technical qualifications are required to carry out Middleware project tasks. Knowledge of tools and application environments: * BMC Control-M * Oracle Application Express (APEX) * Oracle Data Integrator 12c * Oracle Internet Directory 11g / 12c * Oracle Forms 11g / 12c * Oracle Reports 11g / 12c * Oracle Rest Data Service (ORDS) * Oracle Service Bus 11g / 12c * Oracle WebLogic 11g / 12c * PL/SQL * Perl / Powershell / Shell / Bash / Python * Rundeck / Ansible You will be expected to: · Closely work with FTS Application & Middleware Team carrying out BAU tasks; · Closely work with PMs driving the subsequent actions building, testing and migrating to new environments, not excluding preparation and placement of infrastructure build, configuration or access request and addressing blockers on the road; · Diagnosing and solving technical problems; · Monitoring environments for performance and reliability; · Produce of quality, live documentation (using Confluence). Individuals performing the services are expected to have following characteristics: · Recognizing the challenges related to application migration from one data center to the other; · Experience working in similar roles / projects (application migrations); · Excellent communication skills, good written and spoken Polish and English language and ability to work with variety of SMEs from several countries and socialize the technical scope, challenges and solutions among them; · Understanding of availability, performance, monitoring and resilience aspects for semi real time online transaction systems and mass transaction processing systems; · Understanding of infrastructure aspects, network solutions, load balancing, TLS; · Responsibility: care for product quality, making and keeping commitments; · Cooperation: the ability to share knowledge and experience, find compromises, build correct relationships within the local organization and in the corporation.
Location: Warsaw (Poland) Working model: on site (5 days/week) Contract type: CoE/B2B Contract duration: until 30.06.2027 We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Platform Engineer. You will be responsible for designing and implementing DevOps processes such as onboarding applications to Kubernetes, deployments, administration, automation, security, documentation and closely cooperating with Dev teams. Key responsibilities: •Works with application team to onboard and document applications internal/external interface requirements for Development, Testing and Production environments in Kubernetes; •Implements middleware application specific requirements as needed, ensuring that integration across components in the TI provided environment is functional; •Provides technical guidance to application teams to take advantage of cloud technologies, and implement cloud infrastructure, as needed in coordination with other DevOps staff in Fiserv; •Preparing environment for implementing application using scripting; •Co-creation and management of application deployment processes; •Work with development team and respect Agile methodologies; •Cooperation with other IT departments within organization (security, middleware team, linux team, …) , participation on change management processes. Personality requirements and skills: •3+ years work experience in DevOps area; •Excellent proficiency of CI/CD in Jenkins/Gitlab, Jira, Git, Docker and Kubernetes; •Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and be familiar with cloud services (AWS, Azure ...); •Experience with gitops approach and ArgoCD; •Experience with onboarding springboot and frontend applications to Kubernetes; •Good to have: A working understanding of code and script (at least one - JAVA, Bash, Python); •Mandatory languages: Polish and English. POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Linux Engineer will play a pivotal role within a critical data center migration program, driving the infrastructure readiness and application migration steps. The Linux operating system platform serves as the foundation for critical business functions, including semi-real-time transaction authorization processes for card acquiring and issuing. [4] The successful candidate will ensure that the underlying Linux OS layer and associated application servers (JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, etc.) are architected, configured, and optimized for maximum availability, performance, and security. This role requires a senior engineer who combines deep infrastructure expertise with migration experience and strong cross-border collaboration skills. [5, 6] KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MIGRATION & INFRASTRUCTURE DELIVERY * Drive DC Migration: Partner with Project Managers (PMs) to execute infrastructure building, testing, and migration strategies to the new environments. * Build Coordination: Prepare, place, and manage infrastructure build requests, configurations, and access permissions while actively unblocking technical obstacles. * High Availability & Security: Design and develop the server infrastructure to guarantee the highest standards of availability, quality, performance, and security for users and customers. [7] * Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive, live technical documentation within Confluence. * Stakeholder Alignment: Socialize technical scope, migration challenges, and solutions with international Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and corporate technical groups. LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION & OPERATIONS * OS Administration: Configure, maintain, and secure enterprise Linux server environments (specifically RedHat and Oracle Linux). * Middleware Management: Administer and optimize application and web servers including JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, OHS, WildFly, and Spring Boot. [8] * Automation: Leverage Ansible and Rundeck to automate deployment, configuration, and migration processes. * Performance Analytics & Monitoring: Conduct deep-dive performance analysis, monitoring, diagnostics, and 3rd level incident/problem resolution. * BAU Support: Collaborate closely with the FTS Application & Middleware Team during the Business-As-Usual transitional phases. QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS HARD SKILLS * Linux Enterprise: Advanced system administration experience with RedHat (RHEL) and Oracle Linux. * Web & App Servers: Practical experience in configuring and maintaining JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, OHS, WildFly, or Spring Boot. * Automation Tools: Strong knowledge and practical usage of Ansible and Rundeck. * Scripting: Proficient scripting skills in Bash or Python for task automation. * Security & Networking: solid understanding of cryptography issues (PKI, PGP) and enterprise IP network management. * Certifications: Active RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) certification is a strong plus. [9, 10] EXPERIENCE * Migration Track Record: Hands-on experience navigating the complexities and challenges of large-scale application migrations (Data Center to Data Center). * Transactional Environments: Understanding of scalability, monitoring, and resilience for mass transaction processing or semi-real-time online transaction systems. * Corporate Scale: Experience working in a global, distributed infrastructure setup across multiple time zones.
