Europe's defense industrial base cannot respond at the speed modern conflict requires. Legacy suppliers operate on month-long
timelines. Tribal knowledge is retiring. Supply chains are fragile. SAEKI is building the operating system for autonomous
factories — the infrastructure that lets Europe manufacture mission-critical components at software speed.
You'll build the customer-facing portal and factory operating system features that connect our customers to our factory. When a
critical defense program needs parts by next week, your code is how they get them.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on our Platform team, you'll own development of our customer portal and ERP/MES systems — the
interface between our Manufacturing Intelligence stack and the humans who use it. You'll architect features from customer CAD
upload to real-time order tracking to operator work instructions.
Customer Portal: CAD upload, automated quoting, order management, secure document exchange, real-time production tracking.

Factory OS (ERP/MES): Job scheduling, work order management, operator interfaces, production dashboards, quality workflows.

Nexxiot is digitalizing freight asset management with technology that now oversees the world’s most extensive network of connected intermodal containers and railcars. Clients gain access to unparalleled real-time data, which streamlines fleet management and automates logistics processes. Nexxiot devices, built for resilience, withstand extreme conditions and provide long-term, detailed insights into cargo events, including impacts, delays, safety and security incidents, and loading activities. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Nexxiot’s influence extends globally. Our team, comprised of industry experts, operates from offices in Europe and North America and maintains a presence in a majority of depots, ports, and rail yards. To learn more about how Nexxiot is leading the value generation for the rail industry, please visit www.nexxiot.com. Start: As soon as possible Duration: Up to 3 months YOUR TASK As part of our engineering team, you will develop a realistic simulation of our IoT telematics ecosystem. The goal is to model the full lifecycle of a container shipment as faithfully as possible, covering both device behavior and the data they produce. This means you will tackle two core challenges: * Device behavior simulation — modeling real-world connectivity patterns, including when and where devices can or cannot transmit data (e.g., signal loss in tunnels, ports, or remote areas) * Data simulation — generating realistic telemetry payloads from our hardware, including: * Gateway data: GPS location, ambient temperature * Sensor data: loading state, cargo temperature, door opening events, and more The result will be a simulated fleet of containers moving goods from A to B, closely mirroring what our actual customer deployments look like in the field. WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON * Design and implement a data simulator for our gateway and sensor devices * Model real-world logistics routes and connectivity conditions * Generate synthetic but realistic telemetry streams * Package and deploy your simulation using Docker and Kubernetes * Collaborate with our engineering team to align the simulation with real device specifications WHAT YOU BRING * Studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field * Solid programming skills, ideally with experience in Kotlin * Analytical mindset and a hands-on attitude WHAT WE OFFER * Deep dive into a real-world IoT telematics product used across global supply chains * Hands-on work with a modern cloud-native tech stack * A small, collaborative team with flat hierarchies * Meaningful output — your simulator will directly support our development and testing pipelines
IN SHORT: WE ARE SEEKING AN INTERNATIONALLY SEASONED, HIGHLY SPECIALIZED SENIOR LEAD - PATTERN ENGINEER TO SPEARHEAD THE TECHNICAL LIFECYCLE OF OUR GLOBAL PRODUCT LINES FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCTION. THIS STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP ROLE REQUIRES AN ELITE MASTERY OF BOTH DIGITAL AND MANUAL PATTERN ARCHITECTURE, COMBINED WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF MANAGING GARMENT ENGINEERS WHILE WORKING CLOSELY WITH DESIGN, TECHNICAL DESIGN, AND SUPPLIERS. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL DIRECTLY LEAD, MANAGE, AND SCALE OUR INTERNAL TEAM OF PATTERN ENGINEERS. THIS POSITION ACTS AS THE DEFINITIVE GLOBAL TECHNICAL AUTHORITY FOR PATTERN ENGINEERING - ARCHITECTING SCALABLE FITTING SYSTEMS, OPTIMIZING CROSS-FUNCTIONAL 2D/3D WORKFLOWS, AND DRIVING THE PROFESSIONAL GROWTH OF THEIR DIRECT REPORTS TO REDUCE DEVELOPMENT TIMELINES AND ENSURE FLAWLESS GLOBAL FIT CONSISTENCY. YOUR MISSION: * Lead, manage, and evaluate a dedicated internal team of Pattern Engineers. * Design and execute internal training on advanced fitting techniques, complex pattern adjustments, and Gerber Accumark instruction. * Manage team workflow distribution and capacity against dynamic seasonal product creation calendars. * Establish global pattern standards and technical production standards relative to fit and quality benchmarks. * Spearhead high-profile franchise updates and complex special projects, translating technical sketches into scalable, production-ready patterns. * Implement and maintain robust systems for fitting processes, digital pattern management, and PLM pipelines to improve sample approval rates. * Lead high-level fit sessions on live models, acting as the ultimate cross-functional expert between Design, Sourcing, and Materials. * Drive the integration of 2D digital pattern making with 3D prototyping software (CLO/Browzwear) to optimize fabric efficiency. YOUR STORY: * A minimum of 10–12+ years of progressive experience in pattern engineering and technical apparel design within premier global brands.international vendor communication. Knowledge of a Swiss national language (German, French, or Italian) is considered a strong asset. * A degree in Apparel Design, Pattern Engineering, or a related field. Prior experience acting as an industry instructor or academic specialist in CAD/Pattern software is highly preferred. * Proven track record of direct people management and supervisory experience, having previously led a team of pattern engineers, patternmakers, or technical designers in a brand environment. * Expert-level proficiency in industry-leading CAD systems (specifically Gerber Accumark Explorer/Design & Marker Making or Lectra), PLM software, and Adobe Illustrator. High proficiency in 3D apparel simulation tools (CLO 3D or Browzwear) is required. * Deep expertise in the unique physical properties of technical, performance, stretch-woven, and multi-category fabrics (including experience in complex categories like performance bottoms and custom structured garments). * Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills with a proven track record of driving process improvements, managing team performance, and presenting technical solutions to senior leadership. * Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is required as the primary language for global cross-functional collaboration and YOUR TEAM: In this role, you will collaborate with the Development, Design, Materials, Sourcing, suppliers, and Product Management teams to translate the product design intent and style vision into a consistent fit, quality, and execution level by leading the team responsible for our product’s technical specifications on fit, sizing, and commercialization requirements.
